Summary: Caddyshack Kicks!
Review: Slobs v. Snobs!Dangerfield, Knight, Chase, and Murray are just downright funny.Soundtrack is also great(I have been looking for this one for 15 years).Swimming pool scene is priceless.I have also wondered what hot Cindy Morgan has been doing nowadays.

Summary: Caddyshack KICKS!
Review: The first time I saw this pic was on tv in 1982 and it was on CBS(so consequently I missed out on some of the more racy funny scenes such as the turd in swimming pool). One of the funniest films I have ever scene. Dangerfield moments on screen are hilarious as are Ted Knight's uptight stuffed shirt character Judge Smails.Bill Murray steals show when he tries to kill the gopher!("FREEZE GOPHER! ").Chevy Chase is very good in scenes where he is playing the role of Noonan's mentor. This is a must see for all fans of the Harold Ramis genre(also recommend Animal House and Stripes)

Summary: Caddyshack = Comedy Classic.....But we need more extras!
Review: Hey, if you're reading this, you probably already know how hilarious Caddyshack is. I've gotta say I was disappointed when I purchased the 20th Anniversary DVD and it was the same thing as the 19th Anniversary VHS! I've never had the pleasure of seeing the TV version of this film, which from what I've read on other posts, has a lot of deleted footage. Why wasn't this footage included in the 20th DVD? In the trailer alone there's a bunch of scenes that aren't included in the film. How about including them? The bottom line is, while the film is great, we're starving for ALL the extra footage! I feel like I'm Spaulding and Warner Brothers is Judge Smails. "I want a hamburger, no...a cheeseburger, I want a hot dog, I want potato chips" -- "You'll get nothing and like it!" Give us more!

Summary: The audio/video transfer was nothing to write home about
Review: The extra footage about the making of CaddyShack had Dolby 5.1 audio. The movie itself was Dolby Center Channel with subwoofer. I feel that Center Channel only provides better sound then just Stereo Front (L&R) only, but I was still disappointed.

If the original Star Trek TV series DVDs can manage Dolby 5.1 (they sound great), I do not know why Caddy Shack could not have been done better.

The video transfer was ok. There are some "specks", as if you were watching an imperfect original.

But it is Caddy Shack, and therefore these defects can be overlooked. But it was a poor showing by Warner Brothers.

I would purchase this only if you are a Caddy Shack fan.

Summary: One of the funniest movies ever made!
Review: A true comedy classic! Bill Murray and Chevy Chase riffing in Murray's shed/apartment. Rodney Dangerfield livening up an otherwise stiff dinner party. This a movie you can watch over and over again and always find something funny that you missed the last time around. Everyone should see it at least once! Buy this DVD immediately!

Summary: THE BEST 20TH ANIVERSARY DVD SO FAR THIS YEAR
Review: As well as the film being extremely funny, the DVD is really cool, with a really funny documentry, which the outakes are only in the documentry, which are so funny they should of done an outtake reel at the end of the credits like Cannonball Run did. The documentry also makes you appreciate the film even more, especially Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Harold Ramis, even more, with their improvisations in the film which is included in the outtakes. And you'll laugh your socks off, at what Rodney Dangerfield said to Chevy Chase about oral sex.

The picture quality is still the same as the original DVD, but as soon as you get in to the film you don't really care, as your just laughing your arse off (or ass).

Strangly the theatrical trailer is the only one that's dated, because it doesn't do the film any justice, but anyway I'm not going to spoil anything for you. Don't bother hiring Caddyshack BUY IT INSTEAD!

Summary: I thought someone should mention...
Review: that most of these reviews are for the OLD release of this movie, which was a truly terrible DVD. The anniversary edition now available is fantastic, and restores Caddyshack to all it's glory as the king of low-brow humor.

Summary: Warner Bros. ought to be ashamed of themselves!
Review: Of all the great comedy and spoof films of the early 1980's "Caddyshack" is beyond a doubt one of the more memorable flicks of the period that will probably never die with time. I would give this movie 5, or even 6 stars if I could, but I can't do it with the DVD version. This film is so poorly presented that it's a disgrace this was released in its present condition. The lettering and colours are washed out, the film is littered with scratches, specks of dirt and blotches that haven't been cleaned up, and it lacks 5.1 Dolby Digital. I agree with those who say the VHS version is superior because it is. Warner needs to clean up the film presentation, enhance the sound and release it in anamorphic/letterbox format in order to do this real justice. I hope they do this year on its 20th anniversary.

Summary: One of the first DVD's I bought!
Review: There's probably not many movies in existence that are funnier. Even though I've seen it at least 30 times, I discover something new every time I watch it. I think the sound quality on mine was fine. It would be worth the money even if it was in mono. This is a great movie to pop in the player when nothing else is on the tube - it never gets old!

Summary: Great movie... which is nice...
Review: I found myself liking very much this fine piece of cinematography... Theres something very appealing about a movie which incorparates crude humor (perhaps the naming of the delicious Lacey Underall is a nice example... her bedroom antics with several of the characters an even nicer one) while at the same time sending a warning about the dangers of capatalism while still appearing to support it. A fine fine movie. If you have any doubts about buying this, perhaps a quote from my grandfather might convince you.. "Only a good laugh can beat a good lentil".. and my friends, lacking a good lentil in my country (Russia) these days i think ive found my replacement. Buy it.
