Summary: It's in the hole
Review: To hear of no-brainer and low brow comedy describe this all time classic, scares me. How could you not use phrases such as; hilarious, one-liner heaven, best sports movie of all-time, dali lama, instant classic and "hey whitey, wheres your hat?" Poll any former athletes their favorite movies of all time and I guarantee Caddyshack will be in the top 3. Why because no matter how many times you watch this movie you will always be entertained: by Judge Smails yelling, "Spaulding", by Ty putting w/ no shoes explaining the Zen difference between a danish and a donut, by Al Cervic setting his friend up w/ the whole smear, by the Caddies taking over the pool, and finally Carl explaining the power the Government of the United Nations has bestowed upon him to Kill Gophers. See the movie cause if you haven't you just don't know.

Summary: Truly one of the greatest comedies ever
Review: This film epitomizes the offbeat humor of Chevy Chase. Ty Webb is one of the great characters of the Saturday Night Live genre. Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray and Ted Knight only add to the laughs. This movie is also one of most highly quotable as it filled with some terrific one-liners. Certainly a must see. In the words of Rodney, "We're all gonna get laid!"

Summary: Brain Dead
Review: I somehow got the impression--God only knows why and where from--that this flick was some sort of a cult movie for golfers. I think I know why: Most of us golfers enjoy pain and suffering on the golf course...and watching this movie was a real pain. Very high handicap plot, sub-par acting, out of bounds jokes, triple digit score...The fake gopher is the most credible character in the movie. Definitely belongs to the cheap ($6.99 or less) DVDs shelf.

Review: My Dad brought this home one day and popped it into the VCR. Since then, I have never laughed so hard in my life. The outrageous, halarious, and outstanding comedy in this movie makes it one of the greatest movies of all times. I watch this movie with my dad all the time, and each time we laugh like its the first time we've seen it. This Movie is a must get. One of the greatest movies you will ever watch. An easy 5 stars.

Summary: DVD a bogie
Review: Great movie, the kind that has to be seen about once a year. But a few comments on the DVD. Sound is just awful. Flat as a pancake. I don't guess you can do anything about something recorded in mono, but if there is any way to remaster it, something must be done. I didn't find the video transfer to be particularly vivid either, and while I'm a huge Harold Ramis fan (does it get much better than Groundhog Day?), I must say the extra material was a snore. So in other words, a fantastic movie, and worth getting on DVD if you are a nut about letterbox, but otherwise, all the stuff that makes for a good DVD just isn't there on this one.

Summary: Non-Stop Laughs
Review: This DVD version of "Caddyshack" is a must for anyone's collection! The movie is a gem among comedies, and in my humble opinion, it is one of the funniest movies of all time! Chevy Chase,who isn't really a favorite of mine, is perfectly cast as the millionaire playboy. The underrated Ted Knight is also a joy as the stuck up judge. Rodney Dangerfield also works well as the low-class millionaire who comes to bang horns with Ted Knight. However, the movie would not be a classic if it wasn't for Bill Murray, in one of his funniest roles. He plays the dimwitted groundskeeper who tries to kill the gopher that is destroying the fairways of the golf course. Murray is at his best in this film. For his role alone, I would give the film five stars.The DVD version also features a documentary on the filming of "Caddyshack". Chevy Chase,Harold Ramis(the writer and director), and some of the other cast members are interviewed, and some backstage stories and gossip are brought out. "Caddyshack" is a whole in one of a comedy and not one that should be missed...

Summary: Who knew golfing could be so hilarious!
Review: After I saw Caddyshack once I knew it was destined to be one of my favorites. Personally, I think this was Chevy Chase's best comic delivery ever.With such a "Saturday Night Live" trained cast it's no wonder the laughter keeps coming. In the one part when Bill Murray is telling the young caddy about his travels to Tibet, the way he (incredibly) ad-libs that whole story about the Dalai-Lama is utterly genius. Please, I do admit I strongly enjoy many different movies but theres something about Caddyshack that stands out above other movies. The point that amazes me is that twenty years after it's relese it's still a cult favorite. Now that's got to be a pretty funny movie.

Summary: Great Movie, Horrible Audio
Review: Well Caddyshack is one funny movie, but where the movie lacks, is it's mono soundtrack. I was very dissapointed that this was not in dolby digital 5.1 I would have loved to hear the .1 LFE kick in every time there was a golf swing, and the ball would travel speaker to speaker. Oh well the movie is still great though.
