Summary: Absolutely Hilarious
Review: I know this movie isn't exactly life-changing and it doesn't attack any real *issues* in the world, but if you're looking for a fun comedy that will have you laughing so hard you're practically crying, The Hot Chick is it.

Age plays a huge factor for the audience - I'd recommend it to teenagers and people in their 20's, but anyone much older or younger will probably find it repulsive or confusing.

The basic storyline is that Jessica, this stereotypical popular girl, accidentally switches bodies with a disgusting man (played Rob Schneider). She overcomes a gazillion challenges while trying to get her body back and Rob Schneider should really be commended for his acting. Sure, this sort of character isn't going through any extreme mental drama, but it isn't as if normal teenage girls act just like her, either. Every nuance of over-superficiality is purposely there to make the audience laugh, and I can honestly say I was rolling on the floor with by the end of the movie (whether it be the first time I watched it or the tenth).

While almost every scene contained something hilarious, my favorite was when Rob Schneider and three other girls were having a pillow fight and s/he doesn't know her/his own strength and ends up practically throwing the other girls in the walls and knocking them out. Whoever was Anna Faris' stunt double did a fantastic job.

Overall, it's just a fun, happy romance/drama/comedy/action/etc. that deals with a wide variety of teenage issues, from accepting one's culture (as seen in Ling-ling, one of the girls in Jessica's clique) to parental marriage trouble.

Summary: Sight gags and bodily functions still work!
Review: I did not go to see this in the theater because I was thinking, "okay this is just another Rob Schneider attempt at being funny" In fact the only thing I had previously seen with him in it that I thought used his talent correctly was The Waterboy. Anyway, I was very surprised by seriousness of the beginning movie setup which was markedly different than the rest.
Lets face it people... fart jokes, body oder and bodily functions and yes even homosexuality still work as comedic fodder. This isn't your typical Chevy Chase pratfall or Three Stooges romp. It addresses real issues that kids have faced in high school and spins it like a top to exaggerate the complete nonsense of how cruel the popular people are to those with lesser looks or little money. The movie did not drag (in my humble opionion) as other reviewers had said. Instead it moved from one carefully, sometimes predictable, but always hysterical scene to the next.

If you need to chuckle, rent something else, this one will make you laugh until you wet your pants. (Just pray there's a nice attendant to help you out afterward)

Summary: I Love this movie!
Review: It is soo funny! But Adam Sandler plays a crackhead! I like when Jessica finds out she's a man! I'm like Jessica and Allie's like April! I like when a guy at the handbags stand gave me and Allie free designer purses (I got Gucci and Allie got DD!) And the purses were worth thousands of dollars! But they didn't let us get the real expensive ones! Just Gucci and DD! I wanted a LV! WAA! And I like where the Bartender comes and thinks she's gay! And I like when Jake pours his drink on his date (Ashlee Simpson).

Summary: I wasn't wearing your bra!
Review: I was merely holding it against myself.

"The hottest chick in town just switched bodies with the luckiest loser in the world."

An attractive and popular teenager who is mean spirited toward others, finds herself in the body of an older man, and must find a way to get back to her original body. With this story line, I went into this movie not expecting much, I surprised at how good this was. I can honestly say this is Rob Schneider's second best lead performance only behind Deuce Bigalow.

Tom Brady (The Animal, writer on Home Improvement, writer and producer of The Critic) directs this film. When I first saw the preview and story line I thought to myself, "hasn't this been done before? Wasn't it bad when it was done before? Who would put up the money to pay for this type of film?"

Someone did, and they were a genius. The Hot Chick may not have made a ton of money, heck it may have broke even, but it was a smart and fun comedy all at the same time. For anyone who liked "Freaky Friday," or "Mean Girls," this is along the same lines. The story was just as good in Hot Chick; however, this may have been a little funnier.

The Hot Chick is a very smart comedy, watchable for kids of all ages, in my opinion. I think you should give this movie a chance, and not just go by the reviews that originally came out for this film. If you watch it with no bias going into the film, you will like it. Basically, go into this movie not expecting much, and you'll be happy is what I'm trying to say. Definitely a rent before buying film, not everyone will like Hot Chick, it is an Adam Sandler production after all.

Grade: B+

Summary: Anna Ferris the real star of this comedy
Review: Hot chick uses the switcheroo as the theme for this movie. Rob Schneider plays Clive a thief who ends up switching bodies with a stuck up popular pretty girl named Jessica. Jessica steals a pair of earrings she had no business taking. Turns out the earrings have some kind of ancient spell on them. When Jessica is bumped into by the thief, they each have an earring not knowing that when they fall asleep and wake up they will be in bodies other then their own. Jessica wakes up and realizes she is the thief to her horror and the thief wakes up realizing he is now a girl. Clive now Jessica goes in search of her friends to help her figure out what is going on and help her get back into her own body before the prom. The scene with Jessica getting maced by her friend April (Ferris) garnered a few chuckles. The one scene that did make me laugh hard was Jessica's first attempt of using a urinal. There is one scene involving Jessica's parents that was also kind of funny. Rob transforms into Taguito the gardner and bonds with the father, but also has to later ward off mom's sexual advances. What I wanted to see more of was the McAdams time as a guy because I'm sure that would have added to the movie. Watching Sneider act girly is actually kind of comical. Anna Ferris (Scary Movie, Scarey Movie 2, Scary Movie 3) is simply fantastic in this film as Jessica's best friend. The movie ends with the bodies being switched back, and all being well in the world. The Jessica to Rob pole dancing transformation was a hoot as well.

The movie made me chuckle a few times, but other than that it was just an okay movie. Adam Sandler has a forgettable cameo in the movie and R&B artist Angie Stone plays the part of the store clerk that did not want to sell the magical earrings to Jessica. Matthew Lawrence, Tia and Tamera Mowry (Sister Sister) also star in this comedy. Die hard Schneider fans will enjoy this movie. For those that are not Schneider fans will find this movie worth a rental or two.

Summary: Not so hot ...
Review: The Touchstone comedy entitled THE HOT CHICK (2002) is an ugly and uninspired lump of less-than-interesting characters, a formulaic plot, sloshy sentimentality, and overplayed, raunchy humor.

I kept thinking, "I can't believe they made a movie about this."

We have two `magic' earings; when two different persons put them on, they swap bodies. With that, we require very little effort to figure out where the story will go. Meet Jessica (Rachel McAdams): a popular but snobbish high school girl. She likes strolling around with her girlfriends. Enter Clive (Rob Schneider): a low-living dudd who has little going for him. And so, as it happens, Clive mugs Jessica. Man, and chick, put on earrings, thus switching forms. Man and chick must reacquire their original bodies. That's it.

At no point did I begin to care for the characters. Maybe that's because the story's basic problem - to say nothing yet of the way it was played off - is so ludicrous that it renders any serious overtones nearly entirely overlookable. Adding to that problem is the relentlessly juvenile quality of the comedy, that begs us, on hands and knees, to take next to nothing seriously. So absolutely silly (and sustained) is this humor that, when the usual moment to promote a couple serious elements arrives, the movie shifts into a misplaced moralizing tone, toting that "inner beauty" line after already implying that the outside package is King. And this behind a wake of ad-nauseum sex-ploitation.

The chick may have been hot, but this film is certainly not.

Summary: Sweet-natured fantasy
Review: I enjoyed it; it's got great laffs. Adam Sandler's occasional appearances are fun. Director Tom Brady has made a film that has many levels of thought, a grotesque reimagining of Boys Don't Cry with a happy ending. Rob Schneider's energetic performance is to be commended; Anna Faris (Scream movies) has proven that she can handle fun comedy. This is not a film to be judged, but to be enjoyed. Those who take the time, will be rewarded. Some great messages for everyone.

Summary: Naysayers.... Nigga Preeeezzzze.....
Review: I've seen this movie over 10 times now... Didn't catch it in theaters, but on satellite many times now...

Nope,I'm not 18. I'm in my 30's and I'm not a right wing religous zealot and I'm not uptight about sexuality...

This is a teen comedy.. It's hilarious... There are so many memorable lines in this movie it's incredible...

"Ling Ling... You Forgot Your BLING BLING" "Nigga Preeze"... What a riot...

Every time I catch this movie on, I absolutely have to stop what I'm doing and watch it...

For the naysayers out there... Nigga Preeezzzee.... You guys probably think Jerry Lewis movies are the scourge of the earth... It's just a comedy... What did you think??? You were coming to see "Sophie's Choice"? "All the President's Men"? ...

Give me a (...) break... This is a hilarious movie... Let this movie take you where it will and accept it for what it is.. A lighthearted somewhat sexual comedy. Oh My God!! You Mean They Actually Show Those On TV ???

Got nothing to do for about 90 minutes... Stop and watch it... It'll reduce your blood pressure and make you laugh a little.. What more does anyone need.
