Rating: Summary: somthing remind you of Tom and Jerry? Review: The reviews for this movie are polarized. It is not that the color, sound, display, and actors are being evaluated. It is the genre and the content. For someone who thinks this is to risqué and just want Tom and Jerry then watch (Tom and Jerry's Greatest Chases ASIN: B00003JRAJ.) If you are into Laurel and Hardy then watch (Lost Films of Laurel & Hardy Vol 01 ASIN: B00000FE36) the rest of us can enjoy this simple formula movie. Sorry but no recommendations for those that do not like formula movies. The three stars are because there are better formula movies. It was four stars but many people did not agree with me so I re-evaluated.
Rating: Summary: What's wrong with this movie? Review: I loved this movie so much that I watched it several times in the theatre. I'm not really a fan of physical comedy, but I thought this one was nicely done. Not to mention Santa Barbara Studios for the mouse and other effects. This movie isn't about death, but just happens to have death in it. I most certainly am not afraid of death and maybe that's why I can watch it and find it funny. This is a great movie for just about any age. Many thumbs up.
Rating: Summary: Well Done Review: This has got to be my favourtie out of Silvestri's scores ( apart from Back to the Future ).The main title is so good it'll make you want to play it again and again and perhaphs again if your feeling up to it. It is very well writen and creates the perfect mood for the start of the film as well as through it. the track called Dying Wish has got to be one of my favourites, although it sounds depressing it just makes you want to feel sorry for this poor hunted mouse, it took me a while to get used to the emotional responce to this track but after that I couldn't help but set it on repeat mode on my stereo. The perfect Orchestral score the those who just can't help saying that Silvestri's music is Great, well, can't stop, I'm off to buy his score to Forrest Gump, another classic deserved to be praised.
Rating: Summary: Mouse in the House Review: Sweet natured and irresistibly cute, MouseHunt pairs two brothers against the likes of a small mouse that has taken up its abode in a musty, damp old house the two brothers have just inherited from their father. What seems, ever so like a simple plan of releasing the house from one small mouse, escalates into a full scale war where the deductions of logical thinking are completley tossed to the wind. Fun for a while, the film soon sinks into one labouriously hatched plan to the next, plans that never seem to get rid of the mouse. Echoing films of the late Laurel and Hardy, the slapstick comedy somehow all seems to have been done before in other countless films. Lane and Evans however work together wonderfully diverting attention away form the mediocraties that exist. Cute and fun loving, the kids should find it a blast to see a mouse outwitt two grownup men.
Rating: Summary: This movie gives you laugh after laugh. Review: Mousehunt is beautifully made though it is predictable it sure doesn't take the fun out of watching the crazy situations that ensue. Nathan Lane is really great and so is Lee Evans but what keeps me watching it again and again and again is the always good to watch Christopher Walken as Caesar the exterminator who "thinks like a mouse". His performance possibly stole the show with his extravagant exterminator's suit, "the big one" flea bomb, and the Squeak Seeker 2000. Caesar's scenes make me laugh so hard my ribs hurt and that sure is a good laugh. Every time I watch the movie I notice little things that make it even funnier, like Ceasar yelling in the background as he's being put into the ambulance, "Exterminate, aaAAaAAAH! " I can't get enough of this movie. The string factory is an awesome sight and the ending is always cute. I don't understand what is wrong with you people who don't like this movie, you just don't have a sense of humor. Oh and does anyone else wonder how exactly that mouse gets people in the trunk in the attic?
Rating: Summary: We're not dealing with an ordinary mouse. Review: I can't belive some of these awful reviews this movie is getting. "2nd worst movie i have ever seen"? come on , i have seen bad movies and they don't look like this. Lets start with the look, what year is it? what lush and rich backgrounds, great costumes, GREAT lighting. This film looks fantastic. Now throw in a fantastic cast, Nathan Lane is one of todays jewels, a real genius, Lee Evans , i think is amazing , like a Charlie Chaplin reincarnation( you must see some other movies with him to understand fully what i mean). To top it off we have Chris Walkin, oh come on, and you say this is a bad movie! Bad movies have Lou Ferigno in them, not Nathan Lane. I am not saying this movie is perfect, i had some problems with the continuity and i thought the characters could have been flushed out some more. But this was Gore Verbinski's 1st film. Not bad for a 1st film. Now i might be a tad bias on this film, you see i have 2 young boys who watch this movie non-stop, so in turn i watch this movie non-stop. I liked it the first time, i liked even more the 34th time and i really like it now after 243 times. I think that says something about a film in itself.
Rating: Summary: Love this film Review: Obviously people either hate or love this movie, but then comedy is an elusive beast. I love this movie, but then i loved Mars Attacks. Very funny, black, slapstick humor. The movie has a very upbeat ending, everyone's happy. Nathan lane is as usualy, incredible...
Rating: Summary: Very Boring Review: My friend had been talking about this movie forever so oneday I rented it. I was vry dissappointed. It was about two brothers who own a house that is worth millions. So they spend millions renovating. One problem, there is a mouse that wont go away so they wrek the house trying to get at the mouse. This movie never got to the point, it was very boring.
Rating: Summary: A Cute & Funny Movie. Review: That movie was pretty funny. I thought that all of the parts were funny about how the old expensive house that Ernie & Lars lived in was always getting all torn up all the time. Even all because of the Mouse. But it looked cute where the mouse was rolling the big cheese down there Hallway, after they set a trap for him. But it was funny where the Brothers & The Men always tried to ketch the Mouse, and they always got hurt for it. But I think that there are 2 problems in this movie. One was where Lars stuck his hand down that one girl's dress, trying to ketch the Mouse. And then the last problem is about where Ernie stuck his hand down Lars' Pants trying to get the Mouse too. Those 2 parts were pretty discusting! But the rest of that movie was pretty funny, and goofy, and cute. I think that the best part is where Caeser (The Exterminator) goes flying down through the house, and he ends up at his Car looking all beat up, and mad, right when the Mouse walks across him.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Darn Good-But Not Family Fare Review: Mouse Hunt is a wonderfully funny feast for the eyes, despite what others seem to think. Okay, okay, that's just my opinion. The movie's not for everyone. There are a few crude scenes, and some of the subject matter is not suitable for everyone. The plot can also be pretty confusing, too. In fact, I'm still trying to figure out whether to root for the brothers or for the mouse. But Mouse Hunt is still a good film for those who enjoy slapstick and black humor (is it just me or is everyone using those terms for this movie?).
