Summary: You Have To Pick The Right Parents or you are......
Review: Joe Dirt. This bottom-dwelling, trailer trash miscreant with a life more attributed to a complete loser is the most positive and upbeat inspirational character created in the last few years. David Spade is a genious! This is better the 2nd & 3rd times. Dennis Miller is classic & hysterically funny. I did not know Kid Rock was funny or could almost act! This will bring tears of laughter, sorrow, and joy to your eyes. Sure it is sophomoric, but we were all in high school once with someone like this.

You will laugh, cry and hopefully not be related to the main character. This poor guy, you can't help but love him by the end & see someone who is eternally hopeful.

Summary: Forget what you thought you knew...
Review: When you sit down to watch Joe Dirt, have no ideas in your head about what it will be like. If you try to hard to hate it, or laugh at everything, or become too involved in the storyline, than you won't enjoy it.

Joe Dirt is a movie that profiles a pathetic country kid on a mission to find his long-lost parents.

This may sound like a cheesy plot, and if I'm honest, it is. But there are some funny jokes, and you have to laugh at Dennis Miller, who plays a stuck up DJ on an LA radio station, as he judges and critises Dirt about the sorry life he leads.

The shining lights in this film are David Spade, who plays Joe, and Clem, the janitor/ex-mobster, who he ends up working with. Spade is very funny, and if you like him as Finch in Just Shoot Me, then Joe Dirt is worth a look.

Perhaps the best part of the DVD is David Spade's audio commentary. In this he talks of the amount of times he had to beg producers to keep scenes in, and how he loves when someone says this or does that. His witty one-liners and unique laugh only help improve this film.

Watch the movie, then listen to Spade's commentary, and the short but entertaining blooper reel, and after all this decide whether or not Joe Dirt is a good movie or not.

Don't buy this DVD if you are after the best comedy ever, or an original and quality plot, but if you want some quick laughs and aren't too quick to pass judgement, then Joe Dirt might be right for you.

Summary: Funny
Review: Joe Dirt was a good, funny movie. It had a solid storyline, and was a story to be heard. David Spade was great is this movie, and Dennis Miller helped make this a laugh out loud comedy. Though the story came off a little strange in some sence, I'd reccomend this as a movie to be rented, rather than bought.

Summary: I'm glad I only checked this out from the library!
Review: My husband and I watched this movie and sputtered a few laughs.. this has got to be one of the worst outputs from James Spade, ever! I'm a huge fan of parodies, and this movie tries to poke fun at "trailer trash". I think that they could have done a much better job with the examples, like thrown in Wal-Mart and/or Jerry Springer somewhere.

Summary: Classic Written All Over It
Review: This is one of those "stupid classic movies" you must see. I laughed from beginning to end. You have to enjoy it as a no brainer flick, otherwise you will be disappointed. Its one of those movies that when you have a bad day, you turn on Joe Dirt and laugh for the whole time. I definately rec this movie!!

Summary: JOE DIRT ROCKS
Review: Joe Dirt is probably my favorite comedy of all time. It has this certain flavor that sets it up for great jokes and crude humor. It is sure to have a huge cult following and I am included in that group. I dont regret buying this movie and find it even funnier each time I watch it, killer cast!

Summary: A classic yet good story
Review: This is the classic story of the trash tramp who turns into a big time star dude. This movie delivers many laughs though many produced in a crude way. David Spade(Tommy Boy, Lost & Found) is just the person I would have casted, if not him, Steve Buscemi(Mr.Deeds, Airheads). This movie has an over load of SNL people, which isn't a bad thing.
If you like SNL and Adam Sandler(Mr.Deeds, Airheads, Big Daddy) you'll LOVE this move!!

Summary: BAD! Waste of talent- Denis Miller, Christopher Walken, etc
Review: In short, this movie stinks. I mean it smells B-A-D! I like many of the actors in it, but the humor is just so predictable or at times disgusting. I couldn't wait for the movie to end, but found the ending like the entire story, unbelievable and uninspiring, not what good comedies are supposed to be about. The movie ARTHUR, for instance, has unrefined humor (person getting drunk in public, etc.), but you believe in the characters and aren't just watching actors portraying exaggerated personalities going through the motions for a one-liner joke or to be gross out the audience. Even the scene with the dog being frozen to the porch was unnecessary and unfunny, like this movie in general. Sorry JOE DIRT, you're a mess!
