Summary: Adventures in Amish Land
Review: This film is all that it promises. Tim Allen's ultra rich character finds himself in trouble with the IRS after his swindling accountant (Seinfeld's Wayne Knight) embezzles millions from his company. Allen and wife Kirstie Alley find themselves on the run. They end up stranded together in an Amish town. To hide, the two pretend to be Amish. This leads to many funny situations. They learn some lessons from the Amish and mend their rocky marriage. This movie was very funny and much better than I thought it would be.

Summary: This movie was so wonderful I want to see it again!
Review: This is one of my all time favorite movies. It is wonderful and Has a great message. The ending is great, but you have to watch the credits to see the good (best and most surprising) part. At first it is bloopers, but then it is the real ending.

Summary: Comic acting at it's best
Review: This is one of my favorite funny movies. What a pair! Didn't make the Amish look foolish and wasn't tastless, sorry Tim. Great movie.

Summary: An excellent comedy
Review: This is one of these rare classic comedies you don't want to miss. You'll laugh your heart out. Through some odd circumstances a wealthy NYC developer (Tim Allen) gets in trouble with the IRS. Suddenly, he and his wife (Kirstie Alley) must flee from the authorities and they must leave their wealth behind. The couple ends up in Amish country and there they fake to be Amish cousins of a certain Amish family so that they can remain in hiding until their legal mess is cleared up. Everything's going crazy as the worldly couple tries to fit into this religious community. It's a fun movie and a laughfest so very rare these days. There's plenty of suspense as the IRS is closing in on their hide out, and we think "For Richer or Poorer" is one of the best comedies in years.

Summary: FANTASTIC!
Review: This movie makes you realize that we humans really are obsessed with the "material world". This video is really sweet funny and I would recomend it to anybody. It had one of the best endings of any movie I've ever seen! Buy it! :o)

Summary: The movie was funny and intriguing!
Review: This movie was hilarious and fun to watch. Tim Allen and Ally were great together! Althought the ending was predictable, you still had fun during the movie.

Summary: What's the point?
Review: This movie was made on the comic talents of Kirstie Alley and Tim Allen and it just didn't deliver. You never really like them, and as far as the movie went, I didn't believe they even "clicked on screen." It wasn't credible, but undeniably stupid, and putting them into a pond in Amish country was a complete travesty. The whole idea of changing the Amish code of dress towards the end of the movie was unrealistic, and this is purely a Hollywood production-dumb and dumber!! Don't waste your money.

Summary: A very funny movie
Review: Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley are New Yorkers that are forced to flee to Amish county to avoid the IRS. the movie is predictable but a very entertaining one. The DVD picture is very good and for not an action movie, this DVD sounded awesome. The 5.1 surround really works. Buy it.

Summary: A funny look at the other side of life.
Review: Tim Allen once again uses his "man" comedy to show how city sleeker can hide out with Amish people and find out that the are more things than just material items. My favorite scene is when Alley while has a chance to do real housework.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Mediocre at best.
Review: Two great and gifted actors and very mediocre scripting. Actually the idea for the story line wasn't too bad. Just very poorly written and too predictable. The actors really never had an opportunity to act. A few good laughs. But the movie drug in several parts and believe it or not I had to get up and move around to stay awake. Somehow I think this story could have been much better protrayed. It just never connects. A great label does not a good wine make. No awards here.
