Summary: Adam Sandlers worst
Review: This was by far the worst Adam Sandler movie I have ever seen. Althought it had its share of amusing scenes I was really disappointed. The black foot thing was just nasty

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Definately one of Sandler's best
Review: This was definately one of Adam Sandler's greatest movies. It is not his funniest but was still better than some of his others (Little Nicky, The Waterboy). The movie (I think) is a mixture of all his other comedies. It has a love story(The wedding Singer), he's rich(Billy Madison), He beats up everybody(Happy Gilmore). If you're a fan of all his other movies you will most likely like this movie as much as the others.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Good Flick
Review: Mr. Deeds was funny and a good romance, but it was a little stretched out. Adam Sandler, however, delivered a fine, hilarious performance. In fact, all of the characters were great. The previews kinda showed a lot of the jokes, but it was still a good flick nonetheless.

Summary: Why is everybody saying that this movie is terrible???
Review: I saw Mr. Deeds today with a few of my friends and we all really enjoyed it. Yes, I know it didn't contribute to the same sort of laughs we got from Happy Gilmore or The Waterboy, but it was kind of nice to see Adam Sandler acting with a little bit of "seriousness" in him and at the same time kicking some butt like in Happy Gilmore. I don't see why people are downgrading this good movie. If you haven't seen this movie yet, or you're unsure because of other reviews, then give it a try because I would really recommend this movie to most people.

Summary: Not his best, not his worst; somewhere in the middle
Review: Okay, so I'm an Adam Sandler fan. I admit it. I will take the pies in the face. Some of his movies are better than others. This isn't one of the better ones; it isn't the worst, either. It has some truly hilarious moments and what is, arguably, John Turturro's best performance--as the faster-than-light Spanish man-servant. Turturro alone makes this film worth seeing and, to his credit, Sandler lets him fly as one of the daftest, cleverest characters I've seen in ages. Turturro utterly, completely, convincingly inhabits the character of Emilio, complete with cummerbund and foot fetish.

Winona Ryder is pedestrian, Conchata Ferrell (one of the great underrated actresses of all time--check out her fine performance in Mystic Pizza) has terrible material to work with; and Steve Buscemi is literally nothing more than a running sight gag. There is, however, a fire-rescue scene involving a lot of cats that is howlingly funny. The supposedly feel-good ending is pretty flat but, still, if you need a little mindless fun, go see Mr. Deeds. It's not a total waste of the price of admission.

Summary: Weak addition to the Sandler Catalogue...
Review: This movie pales in comparison to Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore, and Billy Madison. There is such poor chemistry between Winona Rider and Adam Sandler it is pathetic, and there is no truly hilarious part of the movie. However, I was mildly enetertained as a Sandler fan.

Review: Mr Deeds was a very funny movie. I couldn't stop laughing at Adam Sandler. He played a great part. It's a must see movie.

Summary: Funny
Review: This movie was pretty funny. As usual Adam Sandler is really funny. Winona Ryder is really good in the movie also. The only reason I give it a 3 is because the story is really predictable. Little town guy fights big corporate owner and the little guy usually wins. However the servant turns out to be the owner of the company so the corporate owner didn't legally own the company and the servant fires him. The servant had some really funny parts of this movie. My advice see it for the comedy and not for the story.

Summary: GOOD DEEDS!
Review: This is a great movie, including that it has to do with money, and this is not just a comedy, it is a romantic comedy-drama, with lots of action. (You should have rated it PG-13 for Language, Comic Violence, Rear Nudity, and A Scene of Sexuality. It also has a good cast: Adam Sandler, Winona Ryder, Peter Gallagher, Jared Harris, Alan Covert, Erick Avari, and John Tuturro. You should make a good sequel out of this brilliant movie.

Summary: Not Bad, Not Bad at All
Review: This was my first Adam Sandler movie, and I confess, I only saw it because I got dragged to it. I laughed a lot, and thought it was just fine.

The movie appeals to the 12-year old that lurks in there somewhere. The good guys are good. The bad guys are bad. And when the bad guys get out of line, the good guys thwack 'em. Is it a naïve world view? Sure. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't revisit it from time to time.

Some of the gags can only appeal to persons who actually are 12-years old. And while one hates to dump on an already much-abused Wynona Rider, she's a weak link in the film. But those quibbles aside, it's a funny movie that's worth [the price of admission].
