Rating: Summary: Boresome Plot, Unremarkable Acting, and Humorless Comedy Review: I'm not quite certain why everyone seems to enjoy this movie so much. In the movie, Adam Sandler plays the title character, an unsuccessful hockey player who plays professional golf in order to prevent the IRS from repossessing his grandmother's house. Unfortunately, the character comes off as being as asinine as he is mercurial. While I would not go so far as to call the humor crude or tasteless, I didn't find it very amusing either. If your idea of comedy is seeing people getting hit by golf balls or watching Adam Sandler get beaten up by Bob Barker, then this is the movie for you. Overall, I found the acting unremarkable and the plot boresome.
Rating: Summary: A great comedy for both golfers and non-golfers Review: If you haven't seen Adam Sandler comedy before, be ready for some harsh humor. This movie is an excellent comedy that both golfers and non-golfers will enjoy. Just so you know, there are not many bonus features on this DVD.
Rating: Summary: The best comady by adam sandler Review: This is probably the best comady of last year(Isay this because I don`t know how good the comady films are going to be this year). I think IT IS GRRRATE! I would advise you to the toilet befor you wach it because you don`t want to miss a bit. It will also make you laugh so hard so that if you arn`t carful you will wet your self. My favorit scene is where he carn`t pot the golf ball and when he pot`s it this guy says "it`s about time " and happy just walks up and smacks him one. I think Adam is really good because he doesnt look like he needs to act.
Rating: Summary: Best Comedy Ever Review: This movie is the greatest comedy of all time! It stars Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore, a wannabe hockey player who just cant cut it. As his grandmas house is getting repossessed, Happy needs money and after outdriving a couple of moving guys, Happy decides to hussle golfers @ the Range. A old pro sees Happy there and says he hits the ball farther then anyone he has seen. So Happy goes on the road to the tour hitting caddies, Bob Barker, and fellow players in the funniest comedy movie ever. This is Adam Sandlers best movie by far! I do not know anyone who hasnt loved this movie. There are too many funny moments to list. Just see the movie!
Rating: Summary: Adam Sandler at his BEST! Review: Happy Gilmore is my favorite Adam Sandler comedy there is. It is absolutely hilarious! Everyone will just love it! Happy (Adam Sandler) is a man who has dreams of becoming a professional hockey player. Then one day, a man by the name of Chubb's finds Happy's talent in golf and wants him to use it. At first, Happy says no way! But then his grandma's house (which was built by Happy's grandpa's bare hands) is being taken away because of not paying taxes and Happy wants to get the house back. So Happy plays in the big tournament(strictly to get the house back), and his biggest challenge is Shooter McGavin. Shooter has won the tournament soo many times he thinks it's gonna be a piece of cake. WRONG! The humor of this movie is Happy's additude, and a very bad attitude it is. But in a very funny way. Also, his competiton against Shooter can get taken a little far-fetched some times. If you are looking for a great comedy, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this movie.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant, despite what the critics say Review: I think this is a genuinely hilarious movie. This is hands down Adam Sandler's best movie. Many critics have dissed this and said it's no-brainer comedy, but in fact it is very imaginative. Quite a bizarre atmosphere too. "Talk about a hole-in-one!"
Rating: Summary: EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING Review: This is an Extremely funny movie. You will laugh no doubt! This is 1 of those special films that you wont get sick of, even if you watch it all the time. This with a doubt one of Adam Sandlers funniest movies and sits up there with the wedding singer, water boy and little nikki. This even beats Billy Madison! Happy Gilmore is a wanna be pro ice hockey player that can hit the puck as hard as any one but cant skate for ****. The IRS takes his loving grandma's "who is too old" house off her.Until he discovers that he can hit a golf ball like no other and chubs offers him a free training lesson to earn some BIG BUCKS. He is rude and crude, a guy you dont want to mess with and he is playing with golf players! You just have to see what happens (you will see bad language and fighting) it is a very fun and enjoyable movie from start to finish and i recommend this to all comedy fans! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Rating: Summary: One of the best comedies of the 90's generation! Review: Adam Sandler stars in one of the most funniest movies I have ever seen. A cocky hockey player who turns pro golfer. Adam Sandler wisecrack jokes and comments bring out endless laughs through this whole movie. Funny for people ages 16-25, the younger generation and golf fans absolutely love this hilarious comedy which is up with the ranks of caddy shack. Tons of wisecracking comments and jokes a real laugh out loud comedy. DVD version is ok, not great, it was kind of cool to see the trailers and I like the full screen format of the movie, that is a good feature. All in All, awesome
Rating: Summary: Adam Sandler gets an eagle with this one Review: Well...Its everything you would expect from AS: physical comedy, verbal assaults, humor, language, mild violence, Happy getting [beaten up] by bob barker??? It has a bit more of a point than some of his movies. I'd reccomend it to anyone with a sense of humor.
Rating: Summary: "The price is wrong, (...)!" Review: Let me tell you that this is the funniest movie ever made! If you want to laugh your ass off, buy this movie right now! This is Adam Sandler's best movie. His new movies really suck.(Little Nicky, Big Daddy)The story is simple. Happy wants to become a hockey player, but he really blows at it. While he is at the batting cages(not practicing baseball)an ex-golf pro with a wooden hand named Chubbs, helps Happy gain money for his grandma because she is evicted from her house. That is the plot. In the movie, there is a cameo from Chris Farley, and even Bob Barker. Just buy this movie and be ready to laugh!
