Summary: Big Daddy
Review: Adam Sandler in BIG DADDY was O.k. as a comedy and a pretty good romantic comedy/date movie. When I tell people about this movie (guys in particular), I always tell them that this is NOT your typical Sandler comedy (ex The Water Boy, Happy Gilmore and Little Nicky). This one has some funny parts but for the most part, it's a romantic comedy.

Sandler is Sonny Koufax, your typical guy that has the right ideas but not the drive. After a kid gets dropped off at his apartment, he finds out that the kid is his roommates' (Jon Stewart) Sonny than tells his roommate that he'll watch the kid until he got back from a business trip. It's a really sweet and cute father and son movie with a comedy twist on parenting.

Now I went into this movie not knowing the story and me and my best friend saw this moving thinking that it was going to be another great Sandler comedy. I can assure you that I was a little mad at first when half way through the movie we realized that it was a date movie. I wasn't disappointed, but this is a perfect example for anyone who just goes and sees movies without bothering to find out what the movie is about.

Other than that, I thought it was pretty good. It has a good story, the cast is great and the parts that are funny are really funny. Steve Buscemi's character is really funny and Rob Schneider is also a total riot. In any case, I still think it's a good movie. If you're looking for another Sandler type of romantic comedy, check out MR DEEDS.

Summary: I Don't Know How He Does It
Review: Somehow, Adam Sandler has racked up a series of hit movies. While this may not go down in history as one of the great movie mysteries, it's still mystifying how he manages to draw a crowd especially when he's playing it relatively straight here.

Gone are the crass antics of a Wedding Singer and out are the mentally-challenged slapstick of a Waterboy. Here, Sandler plays Sonny Koufax, a law-school grad (???), living a life of nothingness who inadvertantly finds himself custodian of one little boy.

Now, the antics begin ... some in good taste ... some ... er ... well, some just fall flat.

While some of the jokes are funny, I have to admit that I miss the screaming humor of Happy Gilmore. It might've been more in step here, and watching Bob Barker beat the stuffing out of Sandler one more time would've been worth the price of admission.

Summary: Sandler will make you cry.
Review: Yes, it's classic Sandler in all his glorious humor, but he infuses his character Sonny with such genuine love for the orphan he picks up to impress his girlfriend Vanessa that he is really mature (look, he has a kid, doesn't he?)

Sonny won [money]in a minor lawsuit and spends his time half-heartedly working a part-time job as a parking lot attendant even though he has a law degree. He lives with his roommate Kevin (Jon Stewart) and makes fun of Kevin's girlfriend Corrine who is now a doctor but had a previous career as a waitress in a certain chain restaurant with an Owl on its logo.

Kevin has just left for China when the 5-year-old son he didn't know he fathered is brought to his door. Seeing a chance to win back Vanessa, Sonny claims to be Kevin and begins his messed-up and often hilarious version of being a single parent.

Sandler also co-wrote this script, and it stars his SNL pals Steve Buscemi as a homeless guy and Rob Schneider as Nazo, the delivery guy. The funniest scenes are watching the kid Julian sing and jump to his favorite kiddie song "Would you like/to come and play?" while beating Nazo over the head with a magazine.

This film is a comedy that takes place in New York City, about a thirty-year old guy (Adam Sandler played as Sonny Koufax), that decides to take on the responsibility of a five-year old child (Julian McGrath-Gerrity). His decision is based on a recent breakup with his girlfriend who left him because she wanted the commitment of a marriage and family. She also expects him to find full-time work and to be a more responsible person for his actions...

The plot involves the five-year-old child, Julian being dropped off at Sonny apartment with a note explaining that the mother cannot take care of the boy any longer. The child is actually the son of Sonny's roommate, Kevin Gerrity (Jon Stewart). Kevin had just received a promotion and was at the airport on his way to China when Sonny called him and explained the situation. Sonny assured Kevin he would take care of everything and had planned on returning the child to social services the following morning. The more time Sonny spent with the child, the more aware he became of his feelings for him.

Sonny decided as a father, Julian should make his own choices in life because when Sonny was a child he always had to do what someone else told him to. Julian decided to change his name to Frankenstein, dress the way he wanted, eat whatever and whenever he wanted and go to bed when he wanted. When Julian started school it became obvious that his was not the correct way to raise a child...

On a scale of one to five (five is the best), I would give this film a three. I thought this was a good film but only moderately funny.

Summary: Big...
Review: Adam Sandler is Sonny and he has to take care of his friend's kid. The boy smells, wets his pants and watches the worst television programming anybody could watch. At least Sonny taught him a thing or two about tripping roller bladers and getting the ladies' attention. Hey, he was good for something! Sonny's friend, a delivery guy couldn't read and McDonald's should have an earlier lunch menu. Over time, Sonny and Frankenstein bonded like father and son, something Sonny never had. It was truly heart warming. Just kidding. A good Sandler movie.

Summary: A very funny movie
Review: My brother got this movie for his birthday a year ago, and today I finally watched it. I couldn't stop laughing. I watched it two times in one day! Adam Sandler is a very good actor. I would recomend this movie to anyone.

Summary: Good movie!
Review: I rented this movie along time ago on VHS. I kind of liked it. I thought it was pretty good. It didn't have good acting but it was good. It was called kidnapping when he wanted to keep the kid because he was trying to find the natural parents for him. I also think the title should be changed because he wasn't a daddy he was just looking after him for awhile. Some of the scenes were funny but not that funny. The kid did a good job for his first acting career. Adam Sandler was allright. He's not usually good in his movies but he is funny. The only thing that made me laugh in this movie was when he got mad and when he and the kid were peeing on the building.

Summary: Big daddy review
Review: I watched this movie for like the 15th time last night and I was still rolling on the floor laughing. This is the best Adam Sandler movie he has made, and the little boy is a cute little actor too. I just love this movie.

Summary: RETURN OF THE CUTE COMEDY
Review: Comedies seem to get fewer and fewer. The quality tends to get worse and worse. Then there's those few exceptions and this is one of them.
