Summary: Slapstick but made me rolling with laughter
Review: I had a tearing dilemma last month when I was deciding between A.I. and Rat Race. I chose A.I., much to my disappointment. I later got a chance to watch this movie on a VCD and it turned out to be not bad at all, as opposed to previous reviews I get.

Some say that this movie is too ambitious in that it is trying to showcase too many characters. I beg to differ! There are only 8-10 major characters, each of them distinguishably amicable and interesting to watch. I didn't find it difficult to catch who is who.

Very ingeniously cobbled together and with amazing harmony, the movie seems to push on smoothly with incapacitating jokes-of-the-year at every turn.

Watch it, especially if you need something to lift you up out of your blues!

Review: I just couldn't find good enough words for my title! I do NOT watch movies. I go to the theatre maybe once a year, usually because a friend wants to see a movie, needs a ride, and offers to pay my way. But Rat Race I have seen.....in the theatre.....twice! AND *I* am the one dragging my friends this time! Whatever drugs the writers were on should be legal and the world would be so happy :)

Summary: One Of The Funniest Movies Ever!!!!!!!
Review: From beginning to end, I couldn't stop laughing. A very well-done movie. Six people (excluding families, mothers, etc.) are racing to win $2,000,000 and whoever get's to the destination first, gets to keep all of it. Great movie, great actors, great story, I can't think of a single complaint. If you enjoy solid comedies, go see "Rat Race". You won't be disapointed.

Summary: Ouch!!!
Review: I was waiting my whole life for a movie like this. This movies focuses on six teams of people who are each given a key and expected to race hundreds of miles to Silver City, New Mexico to win 2 MILLION DOLLARS! Each key has a tracking device on it so the casino owner/ billionaire Donald Sinclair (John Cleese) can keep track of them. Back at his casino he has other billionaires betting on who they think will win. Includes an all star cast which includes the funny and talented : Rowan Atkinson, Jon Lovitz, Whoopi Goldberg, Cuba Gooding Jr, Seth Green, Vince Vieluf, Breckin Meyer, Amy Smart, Kathy Bates, and Dave Thomas. Along the way, they run into: Flying cows, hookers, retarded psycho squirrel merchants, evil hardware store men, I LOVE LUCY impersonators, stripers, Adolf Hitler worshipers, and insane cab drivers. There is only one bad thing about this movie: I missed half of it because I was too busy rolling on the ground in hysterical tears. OUCH!!! It hurts to laugh for the WHOLE movie. MUST SEE!!!! NOW!

Summary: No Oscar, but funny!
Review: If you want to prove your movie rating prowess by disecting this movie and pointing out it's flaws then be my guest. But....if you need an escape (especially now) then this is a great movie. I laughed so hard my sides ached. Jon Lovitz's scene at the WWII veterans convention is a classic. Cuba Gooding's scenes with the Tour Bus Lucy's was unforgettable also. Don't take it seriously and enjoy!

Summary: "Laugh Out Loud Riot!" <-- It's true!
Review: I would have to say that comedy is my favorite genre of movies. I mean, who doesn't enjoy a good chuckle, eh? "Rat Race" looked entertaining to me ever since the trailer/preview. And it's produced and directed by Jerry Zucker..you know J-E-R-R-Y Z-U-C-K-E-R? Okay, so maybe you don't know him, but I do. Haven't you heard of "Airplane" or "Naked Gun 2 1/2?" There you go, now you're getting your memory back. However, Rat Race is slightly different from his previous pieces; it's not as goofy. Don't get me wrong though, it is hilarious! I have never laughed so hard in a movie theatre since "Dumb and Dumber." And it's got funny actors such as Cuba Gooding, Jr., Seth Green (Scott Evil), Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), and much more. All of these characters must race to New Mexico to win 2 million dollars. This all leads to many zany situations. See it any time you are in the mood for laughs. May I suggest 13 and over viewers for this film because of some crude humor and sexual references.

Summary: A good diversion from the problems of life
Review: I found that although I thought that really funny movies were a thing of the past, I was pleasantly suprised that this movies had me laughing in my seat from start to finish. My reaction was shared by all those in the audiance with me.

Review: Maybe my problem is I expected too much. I heard this was a funny movie and was very disappointed. The only reason why I would give this an extra half star is the "Lucy girls".

This movie seems to be based on Its a Mad, Mad, Mad Mad world from the 1960's. While MMMM World is not a cinematic masterpiece but better than Rat Race.

What I cant understand is I have heard over and over about how funny this movie is, but there was not much laughter in the theatre. Maybe we dont have a sense of humour in my city????

Summary: I'm not getting the video.
Review: Having heard that it was extremely hilarious I decided to check it out despite not being much of a comedy film. They base mostly on jokes than action or a good plot. This film was much of the same.
A bunch of bumbling idiots at a high class Vegas hotel are selected to race to a small locker in Silver City, New Mexico. In the locker is a bag with 2 million bucks in it. Throughout there is far too many references to gambling and the Dallas Cowboys loss of the previous game. (Thanks to a near sighted referee who is, ironically, part of the race. The role is played by Cuba Gooding Jr. who completely wastes his talents.)
In the end too many jokes fall flat, and those that don't just aren't extremely funny. It has a variety of famous actors (John Clease, Whoopi Goldberg) but overall they all wasted their talents. (Though some of the actors were at times hilarious, particularly Rowan Atkinson.) Though there are some bright moments, this is overall a very unremarkable movie
