Summary: Friday 3 review!
Review: Bottom of the barrel third entry in the Friday series is supposed to play like "a Christmas in the hood" comedy with the bumbling cousins from the previous FRIDAY film doing a "Christmas Friday".

This movie has little to do with the last two FRIDAY movies and even less to do with Christmas. Most of the new characters are obnoxious and the old characters have none of their flare from their previous movies.

Summary: Better than friday and next friday.
Review: 1995's Friday gets an A grade, its hilarious, 2000's Next Friday gets a B+,but not as good as the first. Finally we get to Friday After Next, AN A+! The funniest movie ever! This movie introduces new hilarios charicters, like Damon, A funny bully. Too bad Deebo is gone, but Damon is even funnier, but not as mean. Definetly worth your 20 bucks!

Summary: Funny Movie
Review: I know a lot of people hate on this movie, but it's really funny. This movie can stand on its own. Craig and Day Day are back as ghetto security guards. They need to some how get their rent money, and how they go about getting it is funny. Definitely check this one out. If you haven't seen the other Friday movies, peep those ones too.

Summary: Better than "Next Friday", inferior to original
Review: Let's face it, the first one was the best. It came out of nowhere and became a decent hit which has grown into cult status in a very short amount of time. Chris Tucker and Ice Cube were perfectly matched and had a chemistry so palpable which made for a very enjoyable ride. Then, inexplicably Chris Tucker didn't appear in the sequel "Next Friday" (it was probably his choice not to return after the success of Rush Hour) and he was sorely missed. This second outing in the trilogy was boring beyond belief and, even though I had tried, I couldn't bring myself to like it.

Then, I had pretty much given up on the whole Friday thing until a friend of mine recommended that I rent this next installement. He told me he found it very funny and, not really knowing what to expect, I gave it a try. I must say my confidence was restored in the Friday potential and, even though this third act is not as great as it could have been, I found myself enjoying it quite a lot.

True, I am like most fans of Friday who all wish "Smokey" would come back. Chris Tucker made this role so memorable that everytime we get a new one, most of us secretly hope he'll be around. Well, no luck here either even though Mike Epps is doing quite a good job and is very funny in this. John Witherspoon as the father is always hilarious to watch and I found myself captivated by the pimp character, dressed in flamboyant costumes with an attitude to match. He was probably the best new character in the film in my opinion along with the new big tug around the block involved in a delicious storyline with homoerotic overtones.

My one regret about the Friday movies is the fact that Ice Cube doesn't give us the whole family anymore. What made the first one so enjoyable was the fact that they were all part of the scheme of things but now, we never get to see Craig's sister and his mother is only featured in a small thankless role. Frankly, she deserves much better.

There are some very nice gags and I laughed out loud at many of them. I must say I don't really care much for the infinifilm gimmick where you see the film as different options to watch the behind the scenes stuff became available all throughout. I either want to watch the movie without interruption or watch the special features and mixing the two is not my idea of fun. But maybe that's just me.

In conclusion, this third one is a good effort. It also made me hopeful that the fourth one (I am pretty sure there will be one according to what the actors said in the documentaries) will be even better, if we can finally have the chance to see every member of the family have a bigger part in the story. Good comedy worth a shot!

Summary: Not funny.
Review: Summary:
Craig (Ice Cube) and Day-Day (Mike Epps) are cousins that are kind of down on their luck. As a matter of fact, their luck is so bad that they get robbed by Santa Claus on Christmas Eve; he even takes their rent money they hid in a speaker. They are supposed to be starting jobs that very day as unarmed security officers at a ghetto ... mall. They spend the day causing problems and trying to use their new jobs to meet girls. Eventually they are fired and come up with the idea of having a party that night and charging people to come so they can make enough to pay their rent. They also have another run in with the thief Santa Claus. The movie ends with them catching Santa and getting their presents and money back. But because so much is left unanswered they have to explain what becomes of everyone in the movie using voiced over dialogue at the end.

My Comments:
It's almost as if this is supposed to be a black version of The Grinch That Stole Christmas; only this version isn't funny and doesn't have any ... lessons to teach. The acting is really [weak]; I've seen Ice Cube do better. Women are continuously objectified; ... The story is disjointed and makes very little sense.

I don't really know what else to say about it. It's supposed to be a comedy, but their potty humor and debasing of women just isn't funny.

Overall, perhaps this type of movie appeals to some people, but I'm not one of them. I seem to recall this movie actually receiving some release attention with commercials on TV. It definitely didn't deserve the hype it received. Very much a waste of time and money.

Summary: WHERE'S SMOKEY?????!!!!!!
Review: Not even Chris Tucker (Smokey) could have saved this Friday!!! The story line was soooooo lame. First off the original Friday is the greatest movie of all time. I don't why they decided to get rid of Smokey. Next Friday, Chris Tucker was replaced with Mike Epps, who is funny but no Chris Tucker. The story was average and dissapointing but still a funny movie. Now Friday after Next. I was really hoping that they would pick it up on this one, maybe even give a little cameo too Chris Tucker. The idea sounded tight: X-mas in the hood and the commercials looked funny. However this movie was so bad I couldn't even stand it!!! The story was wack and filled with tons of stupid anoyying characters like The Pimp, The donut guy and the strong gay guy who is supposed to be the new Deebo. The whole movie is about these guys not Craig or Day Day, who by the way aren't funny at all. Even Mr. Jones was lame. I have lost all respect for Cube as a story writer. You have to be real stupid to think this movie is funny. Cube should have kept it simple like the original but instead it's just a bunch of anoyying sub plots.

Summary: A White Boy Reviews 'Friday After Next'.
Review: Okay, let's start with this: I'm white. Thankz.
Why I wanted to see this movie, I have no idea. Oh, wait. I do. I saw the trailer. Damn, the trailer was funny. And then I saw 'Next Friday' on USA, and I thought it was okay. So I decided to spend my hard-earned cash from man-... and rent 'Friday After Next'.
Sadly, the movie isn't as good as the trailer was. Of course, me being white, I have no idea who this Ice-Cube-Boy is, for I'm more familiar with VANILLA Ice. *Ice, Ice, Baby!*. Although there's a few chuckle-worthy moments in the movie, the rest of the movie just drags until the end.
The DVD wasn't bad, though. Lots of special features, including the trailer I liked so much. There was also a little thing that plays throughout the movie and it pops up with little tidbits and trivia, and stuff...yeah.
Overall, I don't know why I didn't like this movie as much as I thought I would. Oh, yeah. Now I remember...
I'M WHITE!

Luv,
Muttz!

Summary: Why the hounding for this movie?
Review: Whats with all the reviews saying mike epps is not funny. The guy is one of the funniest comics around. Also this hype about chris tucker. I mean he isn't that funny. He has made upteen movies with the same character. Loud obnoxious guy who is off below normal intelligence. I didn't like the first friday and think the second one is the best. The third is still better than the first in my opionion. And remember movie fans, a comedy is a comedy its not and eye openning drama. Its just suppose to make you laugh.
