Summary: Classic
Review: This is not my favorite, or least favorite AS film, but it's good for laughs. As with all his films, they show that endurance and perserverance rule! (heheh) Seriously, The Waterboy is a classic because so many scenes/lines are etched into our brains (WATER SUCKS!) and because it achieves the AS goal perfectly-not even Happy Gilmore, which I consider his best, did that-but it's better because it has more funnier scenes. I mean, you have to either be a cynical freak or stuck-up critic to deny that you were NOT rooting for the Muddogs at the end of the film. A great american, football, Adam Sandler classic.

Summary: Not Sandler's best
Review: I think the world is burned out on Adam Sandler. After bursting onto the big screen with Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, each movie is doing progressively worse than the last. This movie is like Forrest Gump on the bayou. The village idiot becomes an accidental football star, almost loses the big game, but of course comes through and saves the day. Kathy Bates was funny as his overbearing mother and Fairuza Balk as his crazy girlfriend, but that's about it...

Summary: Sandler's Best
Review: 'The Waterboy' is chock full of fart jokes, sex jokes, and a hilarious plot. In a way, it is the perfect comedy. Sandler is great, but it is Kathy Bates who really steals the show. Definately recommended to any Adam Sandler fan.

Summary: One of Sandler's best movies!
Review: The Waterboy is a simple tale about how a simple guy goes from being a picked-on "water distribution engineer" to superstar college "foosball" player. This role is tailor-made for Adam Sandler, who makes a good living acting stupid onscreen. OK, your opinion about this film will probably hinge entirely on whether you find Bobby Boucher (Sandler)'s voice - complete with stutter - hilarious or annoying. I think it's hilarious, but this film has so much more! Alot of the comedy is sight gags, and the football scenes are especially well done. Sorry, but EVERYONE should laugh when Bobby drop-kicks "Number 62". The supporting cast do well too, with Henry Winkler providing a few laughs as Bobby's wimpy coach. This is the prototypical Adam Sandler movie: he plays a lovable loser who rises to the challenge and gets the girl (see Billy Madison, Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore, Little Nicky...), but if it ain't broke, why fix it? I give this 4 out of 5. Could have been 5, but a few of the jokes miss, and as usual, some of the acting is less than good.

Summary: What is it with Sandler going nuts?
Review: I'm not sure if I want to subconsciously act out as Sandler's character does in the movie (in the same vein has Happy Gilmore) but Waterboy and Happy Gilmore are probably his best movies. If you like movies where the character "snaps" this is top notch. And hey, how can you not like seeing Fonzi?

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: This movie once again lived up to Adam Sandler expectations for me: Laugh until your throat hurts funny. The movie is about a misguided kid named Bobby Boucher who lives in the Louisiana marshes with his strict mother who doesn't let him do anything but be a waterboy. Then one day at a team practice, he tackles a player down to the ground and becomes a linebacker for the team! The movie is excellent and funny as Bobby Boucher practically murders the opposing players, goes to school, hangs out with that chick Vicki, and disobeys his mother all at the same time! I also like the part when Bobby tackles his college professor during class! Seeing Fonzie as a football coach is also quite hilarious, because Henry Winkler goes from the coolest dude around to a coach known to have a nervous breakdown at any moment! Definetly worth watching!

Summary: Funny Waterboy!
Review: A movie about a "special" momma's boy, Bobby Bouchea, from the boonies of Loisiana. Bobby is played by Adam Sandler. Poor Bobby just wants to be a waterboy and serve the football team pure Clean water compared to the old sewer water they used to drink. Then he wants to play football, but ol mamma dont think so!

Summary: Well, what can I say
Review: I must admit, I do like Adam Sandlers' humor, but his role as Bobbie Buche (however you spell it..) did not fit. Just this whimpering, downcast but mainly uncomfortable look about him, made for a annoying character. And that chick off the Craft, god that role suited her too well; but ended up making the movie worse. Finally, the Col. Sanders refrence made me very cynical...

Summary: Sandler Rules
Review: This is one of the best Adam Sandler movies, which are great in themselves. I recommend this to anyone.
