Review: This movie is excellent. It's one of the funniest comedies I've ever seen (after Animla House). I also liked it because Harold Ramis co-wrote it. Het tried and succeeded with the Animal House of golf which he named Caddyshack.

Review: Although I agree with some of the other reviews that Rodney was very funny, I think that the late Ted Knight sole the movie. The facial expressions and the sounds that he makes are priceless. The scenes with his grandson Spalding are quite funny. This is a movie classic to be compared with the likes of "Blues Brothers" and "Animal House".

Review: I AM NOT THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO GIVES A 1 STAR. BUT TO SEE THIS MOVIE IN PAN AND SCAN GOES AGAINST EVERY BONE IN MY BODY. I CONCUR WITH THE PREVIOUS APPAULED VIEWER ON THE DVD TRANSFER. NOBODY, I SAY NOBODY BRINGS OUT A DVD IN PAN AND SCAN AND NOT WIDESCREEN. A TOP NOTCH MOVIE, MIXED WITH A BAD TRANSFER. THAT IS WHY I GIVE THIS MOVIE 1 STAR NOT 5. THIS REVIEW DOES DEFINITLY NOT APPLY TO THE VHS WIDESCREEN EDITION. I DIDNT FORK OUT 1000'S OF DOLLARS TO BUY A WIDESCREEN TV FOR NOTHING!!! GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME PLEASE. Review: TED KNIGHT AND RODNEY DANGERFIELD MADE A GREAT COMEDY TEAM. BILL MURAY PLAYED HIS ROLE EXCELLENTLY THE ONLY ONE I WASN'T IMPRESSED WITH WAS CHEVY CHASE. I THOUGHT THE GUY WHO PLAYED TED KNIGHTS SON (SPALDING HA HA) WAS BETTER THEN CHEVY CHASE. IT IS A MUST SEE COMEDY JUST LIKE AIRPLANE IS. I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO GO SEE IT IF YOU HAVEN'T.

Review: I have always liked Bill Murray, and he is what made this movie so funny. My personal favorite lines would have to be "He'll use about a 2-iron, I think..." and "That must be the tea!". You'll understand when you see the movie!

Review: ..and "STRIPES", comes yet another vulgar 70's comedy. This time around, our familiar motley crew disgraces a fine country club beset by financial woes (great!). Stinging one-liners and anti-establishment slams puncuate agreeable status-quo performances by well known contemporary social critiques/comics. A gratuitary sub-plot about a young caddies want to better himself mar this period comedy gem (but without it - or her - they couldn't call it "Caddy Shack"). Still, very funny, and with a catchy song. Cool golf cart!

Review: this and tommy boy are the funniest movies of all time. as you can tell yes i like stupid and golf. all the comiedians put together in this movie leave no dull moments. every scene is funny and the part where dangerfield farts at the clubs dinner party is the funniest scene in movie history.

Review: IN ACTUALITY I WOULD GIVE THIS FILM A 5 STAR RATING AS A COMEDY. I HELD OUT FOR OVER A YEAR HOPING THAT WARNER BRO. WOULD PUT OUT A WIDESCREEN EDITION OF THE FILM. ANYWAY MY VHS COPY WAS SO WORN OUT AND OLD THAT I FIGURED AT WORST THE DVD WOULD AT LEAST LOOK SOMEWHAT BETTER. OH BOY!, WAS I WRONG. THIS DVD LOOKS LIKE GARBAGE! THE SOUND IS AVERAGE AT BEST, BUT THE PICTURE IS TERRIBLE. THE PRINT LOOKS SO WASHED OUT AT POINTS THAT I REALLY HAD TO WONDER IF ANY EFFORT HAD BEEN PUT INTO THE PRODUCTION OF THIS DVD. NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT THERE IS REALLY NO EXTRAS OTHER THAN A HORRIBLE LOOKING TRAILER. IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND STILL CONSIDERING GETTING THIS DVD JUST TO HAVE A COPY OF THE FILM, DON'T DO IT TO YOURSELF. NEXT YEAR YOU'VE GOT TO FIGURE THAT WARNER BROS. WILL PUT OUT A RESPECTABLE 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION. IN ANY EVENT STEER CLEAR OF THIS DISASTER, I WISH THAT I WOULD HAVE! JUST A REMINDER- THE MOVIE ITSELF IS AWSOME, IT'S JUST THIS DVD EDITION THAT IS AWFUL.
