Summary: Just the opening credits are enough to make anybody laugh!
Review: It starts off slowly, but soon picks up its pace to win the affection of any comedy & video lover. After every funny scene I witnessed, I said to myself: That one was probably the climax of the movie. Little to my knowledge at the time, it just kept on getting better and funnier, and became more of a 5 star movie classic. I recommend this to any person who needs a pick-me-up from life's dissapointments.

Review: I didn't think it was possible for a movie to be that funny until I saw Monty Python and the holy grail. This movie takes laughter to a new level. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is truly one of the greatest achievements of all human history along with stonehenge, the pyramids, beethoven's 9th symphony and all that other stuff. This movie will make you laugh so hard the ground beneath you will shake.

Review: You already know it's great. You don't need one more review to tell you that. Sure, you may never have heard of it before, but just from looking at it you should intrinsically *know* it's great.My fave scene: the repressed peasant "Look, strange women lying on their backs in ponds handing out swords...that's no basis for a system of government." And to all you people who gave the movie one star: "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time-a."

Summary: the funniest i have ever seen!!!!!!
Review: this movie is great! i have to contradict the person who said it wasn't funny in another review i read here. the reason they were pretending to ride horses was not because they were saying arthur didn't have a horse, but because they thought it was funny. and it was funny. i usually like movies to have historical facts correct too, but come on! this is monty python stuff we're talking about, it's supposed to be wrong and silly and stupid, that is what makes it so funny. this movie is not meant to be historically correct, it's just supposed to be funny, and it is the funniest movie i have ever seen, so that is what i have to say to that other person on the first page of reviews who was complaining about it. this is a movie that is worthy of praise, but i'm laughing so hard thinking about this movie that i can't type anymore.

Summary: Screamingly funny
Review: In a previous life, I got a Ph.D. in medieval literature. If you know anything at all about the Arthurian legends, you'll find this film doubly hilarious: the Pythons actually used a lot of motifs straight out of the tales (e.g., the castle of women) and gave them their own special, twisted treatment. They're fearlessly irreverent (the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch had me rolling on the floor), and even if some of the jokes (e.g. the non-horses) get a little old after a while, there's so much wildly original material that you're too busy laughing to care. Stuffed shirts beware: you'll laugh till your stuffing comes out your nose!

Review: OK. Just kidding about the 1 star thing. I just wanted you to read my review. ---------------------------- Really, so far as being an 'insider' goes, this movie is the next best thing to being a Free Mason. Virtually anywhere you go, you need only introduce yourself as "Shrubber. Roger the Shrubber" and you'll find yourself making fast friends, winning jobs (true story) and finding a cure for cancer (OK, there's no proof of that, but I'm sure laughing that hard couldn't hurt).

Summary: The movie was so funny that it became too stupid
Review: I have read reviews on this movie that say that this is the funniest movie ever made, but I disagree. I don't see what was so funny. The movie was rather ridiculous, silly and annoying. It just got so stupid and I kept on watching to see how much more stupid could it get. First of all what annoyed me most was them acting like they were riding horses. I mean what was it, did King Arthur have a horse or no he did not have a horse? Movies like this distort facts. I mean if you are going to make a stupid movie about the medieval times, don't use real names, or real Kings, use fake names. Was there really a Rabbit that could jump and was so scary? This movie does not really clarify things either. Was it God that spoke to King Arthur? What was the Holy Grail? Why did Arthur call him self a King? Where did this King come from? Some parts were plainly silly, the part where Sir Allahad goes into the castle filled with woman, I mean it is like every man's idea of heaven, why would he try to run? The movie also got bloody, the part where the black Knight gets his hands and legs cut of was bloody and pretty silly. The only parts I thought was somewhat funny were the credits in the beginning and the part about the witches. In summary, this movie is plainly silly and stupid. It has little or no historical significance and I do not see the "funny" in the movie. May be I am a different kind of individual but stupid movies like this is not funny. I do find Austin Power funny but at list they do not use real names and they don't pretend to be riding horses.

Summary: an extremly go getter
Review: my friends had talked about this movie called monty python and the holy grail and I thought heck why not see it? so I did and laughed so hard I just about fell off of my couch. I love that movie. and the french with the outraaagous accent is one of the funniest. so if you are into english humor monty python and the holy grail is a gotta see. so if you are a black night watch out for king auther he will chop off your leggs. or a night that says "ni" you shall have no more shrubberies.
