Summary: The funniest movie ever made!!!
Review: Austin Powers International Man of Mystery is an awesome comedy that keeps you entertained throughout the whole film! There are always new things coming into the picture, but everything fits together perfectly in the end! Mike Meyers is just totally awesome, and everyone else plays their roles just wonderfully also! This movie is definitely one of my favorites just because I know that I can get a good laugh out of it no matter how many times I watch it!

Summary: Splendid
Review: This film was hilerious! I laughed the whole time because Austin Powers and his partner, Ms. Kensington, had this typical British akzent.

Summary: Ahh, give it a break...
Review: A lot of us seem to be trying to look at Austin Powers as a work of art, instead of what it really is. This is a lighthearted comedy (what else from Mike Meyers?) that succeeds on many comedic levels. This movie has got to have some of the greatest one-liners outside of "The Princess Bride." These include:

"An *evil* petting zoo?"

"Allow myself to introduce... myself"

And too many more to mention in this small review. I found myself dancing the Dr. Evil dance (when he's trying to convince Scott he's hip) at a party once. So I was drunk! Big deal!

It's a great experience the more you see it!

Summary: AWESOME
Review: This is the best DVD availlable now. The deleted scenes are hilarious. The movie is a great parody of many great spy movies. This will be a classic.

Summary: Can't Wait Until the Release of "The Spy Who Shagged Me!"
Review: Mike Meyers is brilliant! His ability to play dual parts (in this movie and in "So I Married an Axe Murderer") is simply masterful. If you like quirky humor, you'll love Austin Powers - there is no one better than Mike Meyers. Jim Carrey is pretty close though...

Summary: A multi-leveled cultural icon
Review: Even if you are not a fan of the movie, you have to admit, an incredibly large percentage of this movie has made it into the common vernacular. The timing for an early 60's retro spoof was perfect; late 1990's USA culture was ready for this film.

Due to the sheer quantity of jokes in this film, two things are unavoidable: (1) there are at least SOME jokes everyone is bound to enjoy and (2) there are likewise some real duds; many of the gags are embarassing, they are so bad. But I still love this movie, warts and all.

Probably the single most entertaining aspect of this film to me was the way that Austin completely misinterprets the sixties. He consistently misuses sixties terminolgy. He was as clueless then as he is in the 90's. Myers acting genius is in the subtle way he lets Austin's insecurities shine through his outward show of self-confidence. The genius of this movie lies in taking the most superficial aspects of an era and propping them up as the most significant. I am 48 and my father and I have watched this movie together maybe 12 times! We know it's silly but we keep finding more hidden gems. I fear for the sequel; I am afraid that Myers will drop the subtle undercurrents that elevated this movie to greatness in favor of the cheaper, more easily recognizable gags.
