Rating: Summary: It's the best comedy of the 90s Review: I just can't wait for the sequa
Rating: Summary: I think we got Shagged.... Bay-bee. Review: Egads. No more Austin for me. Take a trip down trival lane with this movie.. Its supposed to be a spy spoof, I know, but man, its just not very funny. Its tasteless. It doesn't remotely connect to any senses, it has no humor, acting, spoofing, action, etc. .... nada, zilch, zero... Can I get my money back?
Rating: Summary: Funniest movie ever!! Review: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery is the funniest movie I've ever seen! I can't stop laughing every time I see it! I watch at least twice a week. It cracks me up every time. My mom gets mad at me every time I watch it, she is always threating to trash it so I'll stop watching it. I highly recomend everyone to watch it at least twenty times. It's got to be the best movie of all time, and I bet the sequile will be even funnier!
Rating: Summary: Great Evening Entertainment Review: I enjoyed this movie because it was funny and there was a great plot. The lines in the movie that were so hysterical I rewound them to laugh even more. The bathroom scene after Austin was "unfrozen" got a little too predictable.
Rating: Summary: Recipe for Austin Powers Review: A capful of Mike Myers A warp back into the 60's A Swinging Psychadellic Pussy Cat Club A pinch of Liz Hurley An array of talented actors A botteful of laughterCook for two and a half hours and you get an absolutely brillant film. AUSTIN POWERS!!!!!!!!! I can't actually put this film into words, it is one of the most cleverest films of all time. Mike Myers is surperbly casted as Austin Powers the International Man of Mystery. This hilarious spoof of 60's spy movies, made me appreciate the 60's more, it made me realise how gullible and naive everyone was in that time. An outstandingly talented star-studded cast, this is the movie of the century. Crygenically frozen for thirty years, Austin Powers is bought back into the 90's where he has to come accustomed to the way techonolgy has changed his life completely. A five star movie no doubt about that, the music is magnificently fitted for the movie. Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me is the splendid sequel no doubt I will be front row centre, opening night for that one!
Rating: Summary: So-so comedy.... Review: The comedy doesn't deliver many laughs, and I just didn't care for the movie's general atmosphere...but it was okay. I thought Dr. Evil was hilarious, and Mike Meyers delivered an excellent performance....you kind of forget that one person is playing both Dr. Evil and Austin Powers...that's how good his acting is. Well, I'm looking forward to the sequel....
Rating: Summary: THIS MOVIE IS HORSE SH*T Review: IT WAS NOT FUNNY AT ALL. IF I COULD I WOULD RATE IT A -5 STAR! THIS MOVIE IS STUPID!
Rating: Summary: Awful, Tasteless and Juvenile Review: I can understand this movie appealing to a 14 year old - that's about the level of immature "humor" that Austin Powers delivers. What I cannot understand is how seemingly intelligent and mature adults have become so enthusiastic about this tasteless exercise in sophomoric self-indulgence. It's a pity that the remake of The Avengers was such a failure; the original series succeeded at spoofing the James Bond genre with intelligence and wit. Austin Powers has neither. More the pity, the DVD edition is well packaged with lots of extras. What's not surprising is that the two alternative endings are no funnier or well written than the final version. With a sequel on its way to the theaters, keep the following in mind: Caveat Emptor!
Rating: Summary: I LUV AUSTIN POWERS! Review: i am very happy that they are coming out with an austin powers sequel! i will be the 1st one to ee it! yeah baby yeah!
Rating: Summary: a great satire of the 60's Review: I think you had to live in the 60's with the Avengers, Wild Wild West, The Man from UNCLE, etc. to really appreciate how gullible and innocent we were growing up. This is a hilarious spoof on all those shows with heroes in easily escapable situations involving an elaborate death which had us tuning in every week on the edge of our seats. I think it's a classic!
