Summary: Best Movie ever
Review: This movie is the best movie in the world. If you like Ruperttt Everlett you will love this movie. It is about this girl that relices that she is in love with her best friend. She only has three days to brake up the weddinding. A chickFlick movie.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: I cannot tell you how much I HATE this film
Review: Ok. The gay guy has a few funny lines. The actors are pretty. That's it.

The plot is ridiculous. The acting is at best poor. Even for a chick flick, this is one of the most painful movies to sit through ever made. Avoid it like the plague.

Sure, I am a guy, but my wife hates it more than I do. It is an insult to intelligent women.

Summary: Nice Modern Musical
Review: First off, this film should have just went ahead and been a full on, singing at the drop of a hat, high kicking musical. I mean, it wanted to be a musical, it kept hinting that it was going to turn into a musical. And it has a very, very, very 1950s charm to it from the references to Rock Hudson and Doris Day flicks to its funny, albiet a little sexist premise.

After multiple viewings of this film, I realize that I only watch it for two reasons, the songs and Rupert Evert, hence my longing for it to be a musical. I'm not a big Julia Roberts fan and the notion of her being a food critic is laughable ... she's borderline aneorexic.

I also couldn't figure out for the life of me why this guy both Julia and Cameron are fighting over in the movie is such a great catch. Once Julia shows up he treats Cameron like she's transparent. He expects his future wife to drop out of school and move miles and miles away for him, live a life of poverty and what he gives up in return is diddly squat. He never acknowledges the fact that an old flame/best friend that looks and acts like Julia Roberts may be difficult for Cameron to deal with but invites the woman to the wedding anyway. And Cameron plays the ultimate doormat. As soon as her fiance says boo, she's babbling and crying and doing anything to patch things up ... like give up her entire life. But she playing a naieve and 20-year-old. Her character will come to her senses when she divorces him two years later.

Needless to say, if we're just going on the sheer psychology of the thing, this marriage is doomed from jump. In the real world he'd end up cheating on her with Julia anyway and Cameron would grow to hate and loathe her husband because she gave up so much to get so little in return.

Perhaps I've watched this movie one too many times, but it's notion that women should just give up everything, and I mean everything, in the name of love while a man just gives up having sex with other women is rather dated. Everyone just keeps trying to pass it off that loverboy is just old fashioned but he's really just a huge prick. Personally, I think I would have enjoyed this farce more if they'd made him less a schmuck, her less a doormat and make Julia actually have to think of something more devious that phoney emails to break up an engagement. She didn't have to do much to make them fight after all, which they would do rather quickly with little provocation.

But I know that from my review you're wondering why I gave it four stars and once again, the music and Rupert Evert. If there had been more music or more Rupert I wouldn't have noticed the sexism until the 100th viewing, rather than the second. I was sad everytime the songs or Rupert had to go away and I was just left with the aneorexic and the Neadertal.

Summary: Disappointingly "un-quirky"
Review: OK, so the restaurant scene where everyone breaks out singing "I Say A Little Prayer" is cute. But this is NOT the strikingly original comedy it's touted to be. I mean, it ends with a chase scene for crying out loud (and who but Julia Roberts would not be facing grand theft auto--or grand theft bread van--charges after such a stunt). From the director of the delightfully off-beat "Muriel's Wedding," I expected more. Well, it is possible to do weddings to death and maybe that much can be said of P.J. Hogan's directorial efforts.

The attractive cast and the occasional chuckle make "My Best Friend's Wedding" worth seeing--once! Unless you're a die-hard Julia Roberts or Cameron Diaz fan, it's hard to imagine wanting to own a copy.

Summary: Hail Julia, Hail Cameron, Curse Mulroney!
Review: Oh Julia Robberts! You've done a great job to break up that wedding. I like this movie because of the funny scenes, funny acting, and absolutely cool songs. I'd surely would like it if you came along and did what you did in this movie to break up my wedding. This film can provide you with the tips to break up a wedding. I love you Julia Robberts. Wow! this is a great absolute shocker love film. It's too bad you've failed to break up that wedding. Oh Well, Try again next time. Oh Cameron Diaz! I sure like it when you sang the song I Just don't Know What To Do With Myself. It's too bad you had to marry that acursed Michael Mulroney. This film deserves a full credit. It's nothing that I dislike. It's something which I laugh the love out of me. I like this film alot. I bought this 2 years ago. I talked my mother into lettin me buy this film. This is the best movie ever found. Will someone E mail me some stradigems to help me break up a wedding please? I want to do this in Julia Robberts style. Hail Julia, and hail Cameron. I highly recommend this film to any future fans who love it or find it interesting. It'll make you laugh the love out of you.

Summary: Will She Get Him Back?
Review: My Best Friend's Wedding is a delightful, lighthearted movie. This is by far my favorite romantic comedy movie. The entire cast is superb. Being a Julia Roberts fan, though, I might be a little bias! If you were to see this movie, though, I'm sure you'd think the same.
This movie has Jules(Julia Roberts)trying desperately to get back her ex-boyfriend and best friend Michael(Michael Mulroney) before he goes and marries this bubbly blonde(Cameron Diaz), while getting help and advice from her good friend(Rupert Everett). Jules makes numerous of devious attempts to win Michael back. She will do anything-and i mean anything-to get him back.
The plot keeps you guessing, while the chemistry between Roberts and Mulroney make for a romantic, hilarious movie. Will Jules get him back? Well you'll just have to watch the movie for that answer.

Summary: What Stupid Movies are Made of..
Review: Oh my she's almost 30 and doesnt' have a man. She had better get one any way she can even if she doesn't love him. Kimmy must give up her college dreams and do everything her husband wants. Says a lot about women doesn't it? Don't waste your time on this one.

Summary: ANOTHER ROMANTIC COMEDY
Review: Ever since the delightful FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL came to set the new fashion for modern romantic comedies of our time, producers have tried to duplicate its success often in vain. The freshness of it's appeal is not recreated here;this is mainly another tailor made part for JULIA.The parody of DIONNE WARWICK in the early days did not make me laugh;i was rather annoyed by it, because i love those old BURT BACHARACH songs, but ok,after all this is a comedy. If you care, the song THE WAY YOU LOOK TONIGHT was written by DOROTHY FIELDS and set to music by JEROME KERN in 1936.What was the name of that actress again? ANDIE MCDOWELL the L'OREAL girl.Gee whiz ,i miss her.Am i the only one for god's sake?

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: While the plot is original, it goes fairly slow. A must for any Julia Robert's fan, that's for sure. It's a fluffy, romantic, comedy that at points will have you crying.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: your expectations maybe crushed
Review: Dont get me wrong. This isnt a bad film.its not a excellent one either.
Julia roberts came across as pathetic, and a little unlikeable,as she tried to steal her best friend from his marriage to kimmy(cameron diaz).there are quite a few good scenes in this film. The restaraunt scene is very enjoyable, where the whole table erupts with singing.
it is a very bitty film in my opinion, all over the place.
dont expect a typical romance, because you will be sorely dissapointed.
