Summary: Funny Teenage Romp
Review: This is this decades teenage funny movie. There are parts of this movie you will never forget. I currently have fond memories of flutes, and I was never in band. But now I wish I had been...(See the movie, you'll understand why.)

A funny movie...the new "Fast times at Ridgemount High".

Summary: Good but could have been better
Review: I thought the movie was pretty entertaing, but could have been better. Very funny but with crude acting. Please do teenagers really act like that in high school. The Foreign student Nadia, please do teenagers really act and dress like that.

Summary: hey, this pie tastes good!
Review: The movie isn't all that, but it is a good, clean (except for the penis in the pie segment) fun. Why do we think this is such a good comedy when in reality it is probably more hype than reality? Well, not only does it touch a very touchy subject (finally!), but it has been a while since we have seen a good comedy. With Jim Carrey dedicating hiumself to dramas Truman Show and Man on the Moon, there really was little good comedy out there. American Pie, yummy!

Summary: In the running for a spot in the 10 worst ever
Review: American Pie (Paul Weitz, 1999)
availability: in every major video store you can hit with a stick

Every bad thing I dreaded about this brainless, boring, unwatchable movie given the trailers i saw for it was absolutely right. The acting was atrocious, the script was one-dimensional and stupid, the jokes (what few there were) were completely unfunny, and the whole thing stank as bad as the outdoor toilet at a national park. I can't believe I sat through the whole thing. Zero stars. Go rent Porky's; at least there were a few laughs to be found there.

Summary: This Movie is a Hoot!
Review: I was skeptical of AMERICAN PIE as well. I don't remember PORKIE'S, but the comparison to that 1980's teen flick wasn't a good sign. But I sat down with a group of guys this weekend and watched AMERICAN PIE and laughed wildly.

Yes, it's a film about guys who vow to get laid before they graduate high school. But the adventures that happen to them along the way are hilarious. I'm not a snob about my comedy. I found the diarrhea/farting scene in the girl's bathroom more funny than anything Woody Allen has done for the last 8 years. And the female character who begins every sentence with "One time at band camp..." has a line that stops the movie -- and will make you laugh for weeks at the memory. And the father/son scenes with Jason Biggs' are funny as well -- parents just don't have it easy when it comes to sex and their teenage sons.

This movie actually made me think (after I laughed hysterically). Here I am in my 30's, and I realized how great movies like this are for teenagers. Seriously! Those teenage years are just awful! Having sex for the first time is just awful! Thank God I don't have to go through that again. This movie makes it ok to laugh about. And it even gives a good lesson about falling in love.

The young performers are great. Chris Klein is my absolute favorite, just because he seems to have "star quality". I'm looking for him to break out of the pack and be one of America's rising stars.

All-in-all, AMERICAN PIE is a very good movie. It's loaded with laughs, but not as shallow as you might think.

Summary: Very Funny Movie
Review: I have had so many laughs off of this movie. It is definitely the Porky's of the 90's and beyond. I have had the chance to see the rated version and have bought the unrated version....the uncut scenes are very few (the pie scene for one) the others are unnoticable at best. If you are going to buy one, I would definately go with the unrated version. This version has a Tonic Video in the beginning which is kind of cool. At the end of the movie there are some interivews and outtakes which are pretty cool to see. As for the movie itself, its probably the best comedy of 99 by far. Everyone knows someone from high school whose main goal was to have sex, American Pie takes that idea and exploits it. There are too many funny moments in this movie to mention. This is one of those videos that everyone should have in their collection! Hightly Recommended!

Summary: Bathroom Humor
Review: Note: I really give it four and a half stars. I'll make this short; I really liked American Pie, not as much as There's Something About Mary, though. The Unrated Version is even better than the original, which I give four stars. While the original American Pie has bathroom humor, this version has gas station-bathroom humor; the kind where you have to go around back (you know what I'm sayin'). Now I'm not like the four guys ...in this movie, who think of females as sex-objects, however, I did still enjoy this film. And man, that Nadia!

Summary: A Great Teenage Comedy!
Review: American Pie is a well written, well played movie about the real issues in teens life. The characters portrayed in the film can be related to many young males across the country. Jason Biggs made a breakthrough performance and has proved to be the next big thing. I give great praise to this film and out of 4 stars, I give it 5. If Jason Biggs ever sees this, please e-mail me(hey it might not happen but it doesn't hurt to try) Moonstar1117@aol.com :)

Summary: The 90's Version of Animal House
Review: It seems as if every generation has at least one memorable defy authority and party hearty movie. The late nineities teens have this one and it pretty darn amusing as each of these characters has some memorable character traits about them. In between all the partying, pranks, and sex, there are plenty of moments of human emotion and teenage insecurities. Although alot of teenagers are chasing after sex, they are also indirectly trying to find attention and who they really are. I think it succedes on both counts.
