Summary: AT LAST THE TEENAGE MIND IS UNDERSTOOD
Review: Let's get this straight from the start, American Pie is not going to appeal to all, but anyone with an ounce of humour, anyone who is or has been young or wants to know how the average teen mind works, look no further. Great characters(due to a highly talented cast)keep you interested in what could have ended up as just another teen flick, but the use of baked goods and sweats socks as sex aids alone makes for an amusing 90 mins. Following the four friends through their sexual awakenings we see(and remember) just how hard being a teenager is,how embarassing parents really are, but most of all how the friends we have when we are young are the best we ever have. If you learn nothing else from this film, you will learn to be VERY careful with your digital cameras and your e-mailing lists!

Summary: Porky's for the 90's!
Review: It's been a long time since I've seen a movie like this. It's one that I never got round to seeing in the cinema, but watched first on DVD. What a film, I didn't think people could still make movies like this! This is not your average high school teen flick, done a million times before. This movie brings new life to a well established format, and is the 90's version of the classic Porky's series. A modern classic. I guarantee you won't have laughed this much for a long time. Definitely a movie for any collection!

Summary: The Animal House of The Nineties
Review: This movie is mostly geared towards High School Seniors and the College crowds most particularly the Fraternity/jock crowd. However, as a thirty something year old man, I found the portrayal of the four undersexed males quite amusing. This movies shows how fickle teenagers are and in between all the lust and depravity, each of the characters is searching for their own identity in a world that opening up to them. Besides all that heavy analysis, this movie is also loaded with some hillarious steamy sexy scenes that have me yearning for the good old days of youth. Maybe not quite Animal House but its pretty darn close.

Summary: Hi Hi Miss American Pie!
Review: I saw the uncut version of this move a couple of days ago on VHS, and I can honestly say, I have not laughed this much at a movie since South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut! I thought it was hilarous! I especially liked it when Jim got caught masturbating with the Apple pie and when his dad bought all those magazines for him! This movie is the best so far! And I strongly suggest that anyone who hasn't seen it, should!

Summary: "American Pie" provides some cheap laughs.
Review: "American Pie" starring Jason Biggs and Chris Klein isn't going to win any awards (mabye MTV one's) but it's more than expected. In the tradition of "Animal House" it goes for the jugular with tasteless humor. Four guys trying to score before the end of high school is a plot that is bound to have some kicks. Your certain to enjoy the mishaps of Jim (Jason Biggs) as he attemps to leave the V club. It certainly has it's moments and is good fun to watch if your just hanging with your friends.

Summary: It's not going to be for everyone, but it's certainly funny.
Review: OK. I can't deny that this movie is GUARANTEED to offend plenty of people with its subject matter, but at the same time, there are also a lot of people that, like myself, found American Pie to be one of the best movies to be relesed in a *long* time. I won't say it was one of the funniest, although it is very amusing. To tell the truth, I was a bit disappointed with the "apple pie" scene because it had been hyped up to me by all of my friends so much that I wound up expecting more than there was.

I think one of the things that really endeared me to this movie was the fact that, looking back on my own days in high school, I can attach a real, live human being that I went to high school with to each and every character in the movie. I don't know if that's good or bad, but that's the truth :-)

Subject matter aside, the acting itself is pretty good. Eugene Levy interacts with Jason Biggs quite well as the awkward father that most of us had at that age, and Chris Klein has the "dumb jock" schtick down pat. Obviously everyone is a stereotype here, but those two are much more realistic than the others. Mena Suvari also shows a lot of talent - I suppose I need to watch "American Beauty" now. I'd have to say, though, that Stifler and Sherman could have been developed a bit more - they're almost painfully transparent.

With a good soundtrack to boot - I had never heard of Bic Runga before, but she's got a great voice - American Pie is a very entertaining movie. However, as I said before, it is not something I could honestly recommend to just anyone. If you don't mind being bombarded with a rather large amount of sexual humor, overt and not-so-overt, you really ought to check this movie out. I mean, if you can watch Porky's, you can certainly handle this.

Summary: I'll keep this short...
Review: It's a good movie, but not great. The sound track is wonderful, but not the original singers, of course. (I often hear the new version over the theaters' intercom system. It IS good!)

Up to 18 years of age will love it. (However, I kept expecting canned laughter.) If you are an adult, for full effect you should be (and of course I would NEVER really recommend this *coughing*) a bit "tipsy".

Summary: Not the best but it was good
Review: It was a pretty good movie that definetly had its funny parts. It was almost like 10 things I hate about you but it kept being funny (10 things started out hilarious but then dulled down into romance.) If you watch Alison Hannigan (Willow from Buffy the vampire slayer) on buffy and expect her to be type casted you are dead wrong. This movie was worth buying if only for Alison's "love making" scene.

Summary: Cheep Laughs and mindless slapstick
Review: Thankfully I'm 20, so I just escaped those confusing teenage years. First off let me say that this movie is not very realistic, some of the relationships are, but the comedy is way out of place. Some of the things that are meant to be funny are just plain stupid. I went through all this teenage stuff just like everyone else, but the stuff here is not realistic, and the comedy is just not funny. What's so funny about a someone having "fun" with a pie or body fluids in a glass of beer (it wasn't pee). Another thing is the inconsistant plot. First off their whole goal is to have sex and that is the goal of the movie (if you haven't seen it, stop reading here), then at the end they realise they have morals and having sex this early would be a mistake, but then they just do it anyway! Very inconsistant. Plus this doesn't even compare to other movies of its genre. Not Reccomended.

The DVD is very good though, with many extra features, but for this movie, why would you want them?

Summary: The Funniest Film Ever.
Review: American Pie is the funniest and best comedy of 1999, maybe even the bloody century! Your missing out on alot, this film is lots of fun and packed with awesome stars, and a great producer.

A bunch of guys one day make a pact they must get laid before prom. Each of them has trouble, especially the geek of the group, Jim (Jason Biggs).

With this movie, you'll fall in love with Mena Suvari and you'll be laughing your head off at Jason Biggs! This perfect peice of comedy is definitely worth a look for fun-loving teenagers!
