Review: i really like this movie. it's in the top 10 of the best teen movies of the 80's. there's plenty of laughs in this movie. the funniest joke is maybe about the guy who spent 6 weeks in the school bathroom, because his zipper got stuck. this is maybe the 3rd best teen movie of the 80's. it's 3rd behind the breakfast club,and the last american virgin. it's also in the top ten of the most watched movies,i've ever watched. to me this is a is a unforgetable movie,because of all the fun characters in it. im sure mostly anybody will find something good about this movie.

Review: I WATCHED THIS MOVIE WHEN I WAS GETTING READY TO START THE 6TH GRADE MANY YEARS AGO. IT IS A GREAT MOVIE AND SO FUNNY. I HAVE JUST ABOUT WORE MY VHS COPY OUT! WHEN WILL THERE BE A DVD VERSION?????? I WOULD ALMOST BUY TWO COPIES OF IT ON DVD. SO, I WOULD HAVE ANY EXTRA ONE IF I NEEDED IT. WATCH IT YOU'LL CRY WITH LAUGHTER AND IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN!

Review: I'm 55 years old and got this in VHS when it came out. I turned my children, family , friends etc, on to it because it's just a funny film. It should be in DVD and I'm writing this because I just looked for it as a christmas gift for my kids to share with theirs only to find it's not available. Who makes those decisions ? They struck out on this one.Steve

THIS IS THE BEST! People here in Brazil, LOVE this film. PEople around my age ( 18 - 30 ) grown up watching this film! It's very famous here, everybody knows this film! Summer School walks by Ferris Bueller side!

Summary: Still great after all these years...
Review: In all the teen comedies that came out, this has always been a very favorite of mine, and unlike so many 80's movies that get stale and are no longer funny, this one holds up very well.
I have seen this movie countless times. It was nice to see a DVD version.
The movie is funny, well written and directed by comedy god Carl Reiner. Plus unlike teen comedies today this one has heart and a good message, not just filled with D*&k jokes.
The cast is amaizing, Mark Harmon is perfect in the role of Shoop, and it was nice to reflect on an era when Kristie Alley was hot.
I wish the DVD had more, but I understand that this movie never got the attention that a Say Anything, Breakfast Club or a Sixteen Candles ever received.
I am just glad to have this in my collection on DVD.
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, tension breaker...had to be done.

Review: It's definitly a cool movie and I've seen it about five times. It's not "Yellowbeard" or "Book of Love" but it's a goody.

Summary: A Comedy That Works With a Soundtrack and Talent To Match.
Review: Just like little Rob, Carl Reiner has the flair and knowhow of the eighties to produce well-working teen comedies which were an abundance in those years: (Sixteen Candles, The Allnighter, The Sure Thing and The Breakfast Club to name a few). Reiner uses the dramatic talents of Mark Harmon and turns his role into a perfect laugh, as a failed actor teaching a summer school class with no clue. The movie used to make me angry growing up when I had back-to-back summer school years in high school, because our teachers were nothing like Mark Harmon. Clueless about teaching, he takes the class of the classic stereotypes out on everyday field trips. At the same time he tries to grab the heart of a successful teacher (Kirstie Alley) who sees herself as above his intelligence and maturity. This scenerio sound familiar yet?...The difference is the movie uses acting and comedic talents rather than dogs answering phones and space aliens taking the SATs. 'Summer School' is a great fish-out-of-water movie for this teacher, who gets in trouble with a hard-nosed pricipal and is forced to make his students work instead of take trips at the end. But E.G. Daily is the biggest reason to watch and listen. As the voice of Nickelodeon's 'Rugrats' Tommy for the last ten years, she's a successful and cool actress who stared in this movie as well as many others in the eighties. She's also a great singer and songwriter who usually sang songs for the movies she played in, like this one. 'Summer School' is a really cool movie...and I wish they made this on DVD.

Review: Look, all you have to know is this: Wondermutt. It's the dog, and he makes the whole thing worth watching. Not to mention the COOLNESS of the movie! It's funny, original, and it's got babes. Review: Mark Harmon at his absolute best. This is a movie that will remind you of the good times you had in the 80's if you were fortunate enough to live them. This is a movie that doesn't take itself seriously and it looked as if the cast had a great time filming it. Paramount needs to release this on DVD ASAP!!!

Review: My photography teachers showed this the last class every year. This is the greatest American film classic of all time. It doesn't get any better than hearing the famous line, "Zipper got stuck" from the black students who is never there. Greatest of all time.
