Summary: Funny sequel
Review: The gags in AP2 are even more outrageous than the original. Some hit the mark, others are a little bit off, but all in all, it's another funny send-up of young sexuality--American style. Some of you may be old enough to remember a 1960 show, "Love American Style," and these movies are sort of reminiscent of the farcical TV series--except for being much more open and blatant about the sex. The same crowd returns to reprise their roles in the first movie, and Eugene Levy is still the coolest/funniest dad around--too bad he doesn't get more screen time in the movie. And Stiffler steals the show again just like he did in the original.

Summary: As funny as crude comedy gets.
Review: From the first moment you spot their familiar faces on the silver screen as you sit in a dark theatre the cast of American Pie 2 keeps you laughing. At times you'll stomp your feet and hit your head on the individual sitting next to you because your chair won't have enough room for all the rolling around laughing you'll be doing. The movie should come with one of those warning stickers: "Danger, this film could be hazardous to your health. If you have lung problems, heart problems, or broken ribs this isn't the film for you." Why? Because you'll be laughing so hard that everything physically should be in good shape before attempting to laugh your way through this two hour movie. It's hard to say what makes the movie so likeable. Perhaps it's the fact that all the characters, and the delicious story really truly, in a very poignant way reveal life as it is (or can be) in 21st century America. Take myself for instance. I've grown up not particularly sheltered in a smaller town of about 40,000 people. I've never shot anyone, never been shot at, never had any one of my friends beaten up or molested in any way. Of course, perhaps that's just because I don't know about it, but we'll assume for now that life in my small town has been rather sheltered. So for me, watching American Pie was a chance to explore some of those things I hear about from my bigger city friends but have never experienced myself...and perhaps to find that some of those things are worth only seeing someone else go through in a controlled enviroment. After all, aren't actors trained to handle crisis and everything that normal people can't? ...As long as there are cameras watching? But that last almost sounds a little deep. And the only thing deep about American Pie is the crap that our favorite guys get themselves into...exploring the wild wild world of their sexuality. It's a lot of fun, and a riot to watch. If you get the chance, and feel like getting out from under your shelter for a couple hours see it. Perhaps you'll enjoy it as much as a slice of your Grandmas "warm apple pie."

Summary: It's repetitive but this movie is funnier than the original
Review: O.K. this summer that's all I've been hearing. Scary Movie 2 came out I asked someone how was it "funnier than the first one" they reply, went and saw it and it wasn't even close. Rush Hour 2 came out asked someone how was it "funnier than the first one" was again the response, saw it although close but the first remains the best. American Pie 2 release date rolled around and I asked people how was it "funnier that the first one" I was not surprised to hear that but I was surprised to see it on the screen. No lie American Pie 2 is funnier that the first one. It starts of slow but picks up and has some very funny scenes. Don't want to give anything away but trust me on this one this is a must see. The only really let down is that Nadia does not expose her breast like the first one, if that would of happen it would of been a five star movie without a doubt. But there's 2 pairs of other breasts that we do get to see. Not as beautifull as Nadia's breasts but I guess If you add both of them up it comes out about the same.

Summary: Is The Second Slice Twice As Nice?
Review: When the first "American Pie" came out in 99 I, to put simply, loved it! I thought it was at the time the most outrageous "teen" comedy that I ever saw. It managed to brake all the "rules" of previous "teen" comedies. I can go through a bunch of scenes I remember getting a really suprised response from the audience. Like the famous...once at band I stuck a flute up my (*&)(*&)&! Everyone in the audience had their chin on the ground. Or, what about the scene with Jim, Nadia, and the computer? What happened in that scene, I'd never seen before. And, finally no one can forget when Jim showed his love for pastry. It's because all of these scenes and more I think "American Pie" is a hard act to follow. It set such a high bar of gross out humor I don't know if anything can beat it. What can I see that the first one didn't already try? Well, apparently, they were a few things I hadn't see yet lol. "American Pie 2" is a really funny movie for people who enjoyed the first one. It probably does have just as many laughs as the first one had, but, the problem is, they don't shock you as much as the first one did, because 1) we've seen this before and 2) we know what to expect. People who've paid to go see this movie, know what type of movie to expect. Its the same thing like with "Scary Movie 2". You know what your paying for. And because of this, there's nothing this movie can do to "out gross" the old one. Sitting here as I'm writing this, I can't think of too many memorable scenes. All I can think of right now, is the bedroom scene, when the guys meet the two girls ( I don't know if I can actually use the word on amazon). And there's a scens that deals with Jim, a vsh tape and superglue, need I say more? Thoses might be the only really shocking scenes. But, I guess enough with this point. "American Pie 2" is about Jim, Stifler, Oz, and Finch getting a cabin for their summer vaction by Lake Michigan. Their plan: Have one unforgettable summer! And trust me, they won't forget it so easy. Like I said before, if you enjoyed the first, you'll like this one too. A lot of people said the first one was disgusting how it showed teenagers. People said it was an awful movie, well, to those people, clearly don't go see this one. "American Pie 2" is a very funny movie, that's going to please mostly the teen crowds. Don't go see this movie by ourself or in a small group. It's best if you get a whole bunch of your friends and go. Trust me, you'll have a better time talking about all the jokes with them afterwards. In a summer I feel that has some pretty bad movie out there, I wouldn't mind going to see this movie again. It's a lot of fun!

Summary: Absolutely histerical
Review: Funnier than the first. Many surprises the second time around and laughter formula they use still works.

Summary: Better than the first
Review: As sequals go American Pie 2 was really a suprise. This movie didn't borrow anything from the first, it was its own movie. The characters were funnier and the "gags" were better. Eugene Levy did an excellent job portaying Jim's father. His deadpan comedy was truely funny. This is a laugh out loud till you breakdown in tears movie.

Summary: What did you expect?
Review: First I would like to start out by telling you that I did not think the original American Pie was as funny as everyone said it was, I didn't dislike it, I was just expecting the funniest movie ever and I was disappointed. When it came to American Pie 2 I knew what to expect, and for this reason I enjoyed it far more than the original. It was funny, funnier than the first one, even though some of the great gags were ruined by the trailers and tv spots (when will they learn not to show the funniest parts on trailers). There were still several surprises and I found myself laughing for most of the movie, which is the reason I went to see it. Character development, perfomances, etc... Who cares? Its a plain old funny movie so just lay back and watch it and enjoy it for what it is. If I could I would give it 3 1/2 stars but I can't so it only gets 3.

Summary: Better than the original, but not perfect
Review: The first year of college is over, and the boys are going nuts trying to find women. So they rent a beach house and get a job painting houses. Jim still wants Nadia. Oz tries to remain faithful to Heather. Stifler is as rude as ever and gets his just desserts. And our crazy pal Finch still desires "Stifler's Mom". A sequence with supposed lesbians drags a little, and "Jim's Dad" steals every scene he is in. Room for an American Pie 3, but leave it alone unless you know for sure that it will be better.

Summary: funny but nasty
Review: american pie 2 was a very comical movie but the movie also had a lot of sexual content, this was one of the funniest movies i've ever seen but i suggest that children shouldn't be watching this movie.

Summary: One of the Best "Sequels" to a movie
Review: Suprisingly this movie cracked me up. I was histarically laughing through the whole entire movie....and I HATED American Pie. I thought it was horrible comedy, but this one gets my vote. I dont think i laughed maybe twice in the original, however i couldn't stop laughing but maybe twice in the sequel!! It was hilarious. All of the original cast put in a stellar effort for the sequel...which by history is ALWAYS worse than the original...however when they say there is an exception to every rule....this one is it!! Go see it today.
