Rating: Summary: It was fun! Review: Having appeared in this film - on the white "nerd" team - I never thought it would achieve almost "cult" status. I had just finished appearing in a "serious" play, and while I did have fun filming, it was quite a let down for me. Although I thought the finished movie was an light diversion, upon the films release it was blasted by the critics and - I thought- destined to oblivion. But a "cable classic"? What a pleasant surprise. Unknown at the time, Michael J. Fox was nice and friendly to work with...and who knew? For me the film is now a guilty pleasure. Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Catch Midnight Madness Review: I first saw Midnight Madness on HBO late one night as a child, and I remember staying up late everytime it was on just to watch it again and again. Now that it's out on video, I can watch it whenever I want (even though it seems to be best enjoyed in the wee small hours of the morning). Midnight Madness is an absolute laugh riot and a must for any fans of comedies, 1980's movies, or just about anyone with a sense of humor, for that matter. I have yet to meet one person who's seen this film and didn't enjoy. It's just a fun movie, and, as a bonus, it's the first ever big screen appearance of Michael J. Fox. I would have to highly recommend this movie to anyone interested in simply having a good time.
Rating: Summary: midnight laughter Review: This is one of the greatest comedy movie i've ever seen in my life. I enjoy watching it over and over and i'm dying laughing everytime i watch it.
Rating: Summary: Where have you been all my life? Review: I have been searching for this movie for years. I saw this film in the 80s as a child when it came on cable in Puerto Rico, my older brother had recorded it for me, but of course it's in Spanish and it's not the same you know, I can't believe I've actually found it and in English at that. I can't wait till it gets to me, I found it a few years back for $80 at a video store but I wasn't willing to pay that much at the time. I'm eternally grateful I didn't stop my search. This is my favorite childhood movie of all time. Everyone should watch this at least once, this is 80s corn at its very best.
Rating: Summary: Midnight Madness Review: Overall a poor movie. It is worth it to see Michael J. Fox in his first movie. I got a chuckle or two from Eddie Deezen (the greatest movie nerd, hands down). And look for a camio from Pee-Wee Herman (yes, he keeps his pants up).
Rating: Summary: A Great, Funny, Bad Movie! Review: This film is just alot of fun to watch and rewatch. For the first time you watch it, put it on near midnight, and somehow its enjoyment is enhanced. I originally taped it when it was on HBO during the mid '80s - and I must have seen it at least 50 times since then. My tape is wearing out, so I'm delighted to hear that it's now been released on home VHS. Just a really enjoyable, offbeat, at times almost surealistic movie. The acting is often bad, the romance and brother-to-brother troubles cliched, but just forget all this and sit back and watch a fun romp. From Barf's stupid laugh, to Maggie Roswell's facial expressions as she opens a door in a hotel room that she shouldn't have, to the airport scene (and, of course, "fagabeefe"!) if you rent/buy this movie, I gurantee you will be wacthing it over and over again. Again, don't buy it to get "Citizen Kane" revisted. Just get it for great mindless fun!
Rating: Summary: Whats the Matter with You Lunatics! Review: This Movie was a favorite of mine during the 80's and still is. Still as cheesy as the first time, but just as hilarious. My favorite parts, "Please Gentlemen, Accept our humble literature." "Leave us alone! What's the matter with you lunatics!" "Please take a Brochure, It's Free." FAGABEEFE! Eeeeester, huh, Eeeester bunny huh huh, Eeeeester Parade huh huh huh... This is the Best day of my Life! PABST BLUE RIBBON! And Johnies FAT BOY (Harold) I dunno, I just love this movie and its one to watch when there is nothing else on TV. I reccomend this film to anyone who likes classsic 80's films.
Rating: Summary: A must see! Review: I saw this film when it was released to cable and have been looking for it to add to my collection ever since. Wild, funny, silly yet still respectable. A cute cut-up and angst movie of college kids without having to add foul language and overdriven sex to make the movie. See this with a group of friends and I challenge you to come up with as good a scavenger hunt!
Rating: Summary: Pin Ball Sit-E Review: RIGHT NOW YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING MIDNIGHT MADNESS.And I suppose it's too much bother for you to remember Scott's BIRTHDAY! pin-ball-sit-E, PIN BALL CITY! And I'm tired of making poached eggs every morning! ...just a little present from my father... Hey Einstein! Isn't Venus over there? Hey Armpit, be careful! Miss! There's a cockroach in my water! My eternal thanks to my sister Debbie for purchasing this gem for me this past Christmas...our copy was getting pretty sketchy...and thanks to Shelley for a killer review! Now there's a girl who knows what's up! A piece of trivia: Maggie Roswell, who plays Donna ("get in! get in!") is one of the voices on The Simpsons...look for her name in the credits! Now go buy this movie and quote it from beginning to end, preferably with a friend! : ) p.s. do you think the other chick in the red team was a lesbian?
Rating: Summary: cult classic Review: This is one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. Its one that you'll never get tired of watching. My favorite part is the "Fagabeefe" sceen. I gave it 5 stars and i hope you feel the same.
