Summary: BEWARE!
Review: Whatever you do, DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! I can't believe I wasted my money on renting this trash! This film was nothing but an overlong version of the sketch. This is by far the worst SNL movie yet with terrible and cheesy acting. I saw this movie because I heard Tom Green was in it. However, he was only in it for about 45 seconds. To think that I wasted and hour and a half of my time on this garbage. Stay away from this film, I promise that you aren't missing much.

Summary: SUPERSTAR is "super-hysterical."
Review: SUPERSTAR is another movie based on a "Saturday Night Live" comic character--which in this case happens to be Mary Katherine Galleger (played by the halarious and sexy Molly Shannon).

Mary is a Catholic high school student who is constantly dreaming of becoming a famous superstar, so she will get a kiss from the high school jock (played by Will Ferrell).

This movie is better than some of the past "SNL" films like IT'S PAT, and manages to throw in some laughs as well.

MTV comedian Tom Green ("V.D. rules!") has a cameo, which makes this his first feature film.

Summary: Absurd gag of a movie
Review: This is, of course, based on Molly Shannon's Mary Katherine Gallagher character. If you like the sketches on SNL, then this movie is worth your while. It doesn't feel like a sketch gone on too long, but it's instead an absurd gag of a movie. Beforehand, I felt like I had probably seen the funniest parts in the trailer, which showed Mary Katherine french-kissing a tree. But what the trailer didn't show, which was even funnier, was Mary Katherine talking dirty to the tree. 3 stars, but keep in mind there was no way this movie was getting any more than 3 stars. So it played well above expectations.

Summary: Very Funny!
Review: I thought this movie was really good. It made me laugh so hard the first time I saw it. I bought it on DVD. It's worth the buy. Of course, I love the type of comedy where the characters act so stupid it's funny.

Summary: Funny, but not for everyone...
Review: Being the SNL fan that I am, I eagerly rushed to Blockbuster as soon as "Superstar" appeared on the shelves. I rented the film to watch at my little sister's 8th birthday party, thinking that I, along with my sister and her friends, would love it. Well, I was partly right. My sister and her pals found the entire movie irresistibly, stomach-grippingly hilarious, though they did not understand all the jokes (example: the "Let's Fight Venereal" Talent Show). Though there were plenty of funny bits (such as the "Tree Scene," the cafeteria dance number, the Mary vs. Evian fights, and Mary's talent show performance), I was not too impressed. In addition, the film was just too long! I do, however, have to say that I enjoyed Molly Shannon's fine acting. I didn't hate the movie, but I think that "Superstar" is basically just another goofy comedy for slightly immature moviegoers.

Summary: Superstar! (Only read if you've seen the movie!)
Review: I thought Superstar was the best movie I have ever seen! I can relate to her unpopularity. This is the best thing Molly Shannon has ever done! Superstar is about a girl named Mary Kathrine who is left out of everything. Mary even got put in Special Ed because of her weirdness. There are very funny things along the way. I think the casting is good. Elaine Hendrix always plays a good bad guy, and Will Ferrel is very funny. I also think whoever played Helen (Mary's friend) was very good.

Summary: I only wish there was a no star option...
Review: Horrible, boring and not the least bit funny. Will Ferrel looks too old to be in high school. Avoid this one.

Summary: Wore this Kiwi Lime lip gloss just for you!
Review: This movie is great! I would recomend it to anyone who grew up feeling like an outcast or went to catholic school (Like me) I may be bias but this movie totaly did it for me! I laughed so hard and enjoyed the hillarious cast and situations. Although it is your average slapstick so dumb its funny comedy, you will find a hidden message and respect for Molly Shannon! Well done! Superstar!

Summary: Suprisingly HILARIOUS!
Review: I saw this movie because everyone in my class was seeing it. I had no interest in seeing it myself. I LOVED it. It was so original and it had such good acting by Molly Shannon. The "Tree Scean" was so funny- and an immediate classic, it will be shown forever as an example of wonderful comedy!

Summary: The Worst Movie Ever? maybe yeah.
Review: i just can't believe the high rating people are giving to this extremely bored, sucking movie. thank god i work at a video store and didn't had to pay anything for this "fiasco". sorry, just didn't do it to me, i watched it with a friend, and we both we're speechless: we couldn't believe how bad this movie was. i didn't expect much anyway, but when the movie started, when i saw tom green, i really thought it was going to be cool. got it all wrong. if you like wacky, crazy, funny movies, then rent Half Baked or Night at the Roxbury, don't waste your money in renting this crap. Or, wait until someone you know rents it and watch it just so you can see how stupid and boring it is. i rest my case.
