Rating: Summary: The Funniest and Greatest Movie of All Time Review: I loved this movie, I thought it was going to be corny like all the rest, but instead it was insanely funny!
Rating: Summary: "Quick man... kick me in the junk" Review: I never heard of this movie before my friend introduced me to it. I thought, "The dude from Saved by the Bell? How lame is this going to be!"Au contraire! This has to be the best movie MTV films ever put out. While the idea is somewhat funny in itself (passing college by inding a suicidal roommate, guaranteeing yourself A's from the trauma regardless of your failing grades), it's the characters that make this movie. Cliff, the drooling party-animal frat boy who is so high he sets a chick's hair on fire trying to lite a pipe... Buckley, the egocentric computer geek who believes Bill Gates wants him for his brain and will sacrifice himself to prevent an apocolypse... and let's not forget Matt, the depressive, maniacal British musician. Even the locals at the bar are great. "Some people eat bugs... ewwwww!" Believe me, if you liked Happy Gilmore, Tommy Boy or anything of that genre, you will love this movie. It's got tons of hilarious quotes that you and your friends will be saying again and again...

Rating: Summary: Classic! Review: I read somewhere, someone called this the best college movie SINCE Animal House? Well, I will no doubt get flamed for this, but in my book, Animal House does not hold a candle to "Dead Man on Campus". Unlike some, who either decided they loved or hated the flick based solely on previews, I was kind of indifferent, until I saw it on FX. Blew me away! And I immediately purchased the video. Cliff O'Malley seems to have made the movie for a lot of the other reviewers here, but my vote for best performance in the movie goes to that of Gosselaar. I won't discuss the plot, others have done a good enough job of that, but I do encourage you to see this movie.
Rating: Summary: Name is Cliff, brother of Joe..... Review: I recently bought this dvd after years of wishing that I had it. I remember it being better, but it is still pretty good. The "roomates" are funnier than the main guys (Tom and Mark). I gave it three stars because it cost more than a lot of my other dvds and could have been better. All-in-all it is a funny dark comedy worth watching.

Rating: Summary: Stupid but it has it's moments Review: I saw this movie while selling my Plasma, so I had to watch it. Thankfully it was exactly what I expected - a pleasant comedy full of idiotic jokes and lame humor with flashes of greatness, but nothing too distracting. I had interest in watching this movie awhile back as the dead-roommate-straight-As was one of the only urban legends that I actaully believed. While I'm glad i didn't spend money in the movie theater for it, I'm still happy to have seen it. The characters are cliched, the situations are pretty standard, and everything is the way you expect it to be. Not that that is bad but it could have been better. The Frat Boy from hell character is just not up to John Belushi of Animal House standards (then again, who is?) and the conspiracy theory freak is pretty tame. However, the goth rock star who acts like a depressed brit in public but happily sings showtunes in private is hilarious. I think it's probably because I've alternately hated and loved the kind of music (Cure, Peter Murphy, etc.) parodied by the song "Tragic Sperm" that I was giggling through those scenes. Besides, revelations that Robert Smith is now an overweight drunk football fan make that character all the more believable. Sadly that character is only on screen for about 15 minutes total. The whole movie could have been about him and it would have been great. better than average comedy. Has a darkness about it that is superceded by formula - a lot like Better Off Dead. Buy it as a gift, because someone is going to embrace it as their cult movie.
Rating: Summary: Morbidly Funny Review: I was expecting this movie to be pretty stupid, but I was quite surprised. This story actually made me laugh out loud in places, and I had a constant smile on my face. Two students are in a predicament. They face expulsion from college unless they can take advantage of a loophole that will grant them perfect grades: the traumatic death of a roommate. So the two students come up with a plan. They go through a list of possible candidates (the most unstable students on campus), ask them to move in, and then attempt to drive them into committing suicide. Things don't go as smoothly as they expect. You will probably recognise the two main characters from other "wacky" comedies from the past. To me, "Dead Man on Campus" is like a combination of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Weekend At Bernie's". The two students, caught in a dilemma of their own making, attempt to use the easy way out: (someone elses) suicide. Although the premise is bizaare and macabre, I found "Dead Man On Campus" one of the least offensive of the "college comedies".
