Review: It was such a great movie. I saw it 5 times. Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, and the totaly hot Tara Reid. The group comes back together again from their first year in college and go to a summer house to throw the biggest party. This movie is packed with laughs, its fun, and some hot scenes. I reccomend it to all. The DVD features have hours of more funny stuff.

Summary: What the [heck] is this?
Review: I think the only reason I gave it a two is because I actually felt like watching the whole thing. Just to see what happened next. But geez, this movie [was not that good].I thought the first one was pretty good. There were some fresh shenannegans and plot twists. American Pie 2 just ripped off each plot twist in a different way. Kevin knows the gang has to do something, and goes to his older brother for help. ... Sorry I can't tell you the plot. I really wish I could, but there's one small problem. There is none. Usually that helps a movie. All I could squeeze out of it is that things are changing for them after high school and Kevin feels that they need to stay together. So he asks his older brother for advice and then rents a lake house for the summer and they have wild parties etc.etc. You'll laugh only a few times in the movie, only because of some of the "Happy Gilmor-ish" relentless cursing. which isn't really that funny in the first place. Don't buy it, maybe rent it. It's rated R for stron language, strong sexuality, nudity, alcohol, and crude humor.

Summary: Spectacular
Review: I saw the original Pie the first day in theaters, and it was a new experience for me. I was 14, and it was the greatest thing I've ever seen. Well, I'm a much more mature 16 now, and perhaps surprisingly I still loved the much grosser sequel. Thie movie was great because of three things: this amazing cast, a great script, and underated cinematography. Everyone is back from the first Pie, and they all took their characters and allowed them to grow while still being the people we fell in love with that summer. Jason Biggs is amazing in this movie. He tops himself in terms of comedic presence and delivery. His Adam Sandler meets Jim Carrey style is impeccable. Seann William Scott as Stifler is great as well. Many people say that he was only funny because of his large quantity of lines in this one. However, his delivery of the lines is fantastic, making Stifler a huge jerk yet one that is still likeable. And, my personal favorite, Alyson Hannigan as Michelle was just great. I might be a little biased because Buffy is my favorite show and I'm convinced Alyson should marry me, but she was great. From the comedy scenes with Biggs to a scene where she realizes she loves him, I can't say enough about her. Eddie Kay Thomas gets his share of laughs as Finch as well. The other characters I thought, deserved a bit more screen time. I really like Thomas Ian Nicholas and his character Kevin, and I thought they should have given him and his relationship with Vicky (Tara Reid) more time onscreen. Chris Klein, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, and Natasha Lyonne round out the cast.. However, with this cast, it all came down to the characters themselves. It was funnier to have the more comedic characters like Jim and Stifler onscreen because, well, normal well-adjusted people like Klein's Oz aren't that funny. The lack of screen time had nothing to do with these actors, all of whom are talented (however, one has to wonder how talented Shannon Elizabeth and Tara Reid are, as both Nadia and Vicky seem exactly the same with no growth. Was it the actor or the script?). Still, this movie is fantastic with not only classic comedy moments but sweet ones as well, especially with Jim and Michelle. This script was fantastic in showing how going to college does affect relationships and friends. Also, it doesn't get enough credit, but this film has some great cinematography. There is one shot especially, when the guys are walking back to the party after Kevin's walkout, that is the coolest shot I've ever seen. I wonder if they make a poster of that shot? The extras are also abundant. You get auditioning videos, FOUR commentaries (Two are with filmmakers and have alot of technical info, but I think that the ones with Jason Biggs, Mena Suvari, Thomas Ian Nicholas, and Eddie Kay Thomas going solo are much funner to listen to), and more. Also, the best extra is the reel of deleted scenes. It's to this movie's credit that as I watched these deleted scenes, i thought all of them were good enough for the final version. In short, AP2 is a great movie. Get it.

Summary: the same great stuff part two
Review: this film continues the adventures of the gang and keeps up the great jokes, including a classic scene with "lesbians." but just like the first film, it keeps the raunchy stuff on the more tasteful side. i thought the best part of this film was when Jim was finally going to get Nadia--the girl he always wanted--but then realizes that he was a band geek just like Michelle and that he was truly attracted to her. that was a nice scene and really added depth to Jim's character. i cant wait until American Pie 3 comes out for their second college summer on the lake.

Summary: Only mildly entertaining
Review: Long-awaited but disappointing sequel to the previous teen hit has Jim and all his old buddies reuniting one vacation to try and re-live their past summer. This isn't as raunchy or outrageous as the first one, nor does it have all of the fun, sharpness and energy that made its predecessor so good. Only mildly entertaining.

Summary: I hate to admit it, but it's funny.
Review: Really funny, actually-- I only gave it three stars because it was not nearly as good as the first one, nor as witty as I like comedies to be. But to suspend reality for an hour and a half, to put your worries aside, and laugh at the asinine jokes-- it's worth it. For all of you escapists out there, watch this movie.

Review: I'm still in complete awe of this movie. This is by far, the best DVD I have ever bought. This sooooooooo surpased the oringinal and has the greatest ending in history. Trilogy please?

Summary: Not as Good as the original...But GOOD
Review: This movie is not as funny as the original but it is funny as hell. One reason you were not expecting the super funny stuff in the first one, but this one you were kind of expecting it so it took the element of surprise out of the movie (a little) But it is definitely worth owning if you liked the first one.

Summary: Funny...but not as good as the first
Review: The story is relatively simple and straightforward. The four boys
from the first have all ended their first year at college and returned home
for the summer. They find, while much has changed, much does still remain
the same. Out of desperation they rent a beach house for the remainder of
the summer and decide to live it up to the extreme.
The guys all do well in reprising their roles and obviously haven't
moved forward too far in their lives. The women do all return from the
first but for very little screen time. Probably the most goes to Allyson
Hannigan's character, who is enlisted by Jim in his attempts to "better"
himself before the impending arrival of Nadia, played again by Shannon
Elizabeth.
There are some extremely funny moments in this one but overall the
first one was much funnier. Possibly because of the age of the characters
it seemed as if the writers were shooting for more serious moments at times.
This didn't detract from the movie and it is still well worth seeing (if you
liked the humor of the first one) but I do stand by it not being as funny.
