Rating: Summary: Help Out The Seals? Hang On To Sex! Review: H.O.T.S. is one of those wonderfully innocent sexploitation films from the earliest HBO days (the kind of thing they'd never admit to showing nowadays). The story of a pack of blessedly overendowed College Sorority girls, this film features Playmate Susan Kiger and a bevy of beauties all running around topless in tight shorty shorts and looking---well, how would you expect them to look?
There isn't much of a story, and H.O.T.S. is sexually milquetoast compared to others of this genre (though the topless football game is still a classic), but nobody ever watched H.O.T.S. for its cinematic quality. H.O.T.S. is an homage to testosterone, and needs to be on every man's shelf whomade it through the early eighties with his libido intact. And even if not.
Rating: Summary: What a Waste! Review: I bought this video expecting lots of topless scenes and slapstick comedy. I got very little of either. I first read about this movie in Maxim's best "B" movies and it said it had topless skydiving, sunbathing, etc. There is a topless skydiver but she is in the air and the camera is on the ground so you can't see anything. I am fan of those movies from the good ol' 70s with big racks, but this is garbage. The scene where Danny Bonaduche (spelling?) cant get it up is an instant classic of how not to act. Topless football game is very short and not worth the money.

Rating: Summary: Not HOT Review: I first saw it on USA Up All Night. Then I watched it on video. The nude scenes that were cut out really made it worth watching again. Nice breasts footage.

Rating: Summary: THIS WAS A GREAT MOVIE Review: I mean it had everything a guy could want in it. Topless football game. Wet t-shirt contest. Disco dancing babes. Plenty of hijinx. topless parachuter. A car chase. Is it a meaningful movie? NO. Is it a fun movie? YES. A fun movie to watch. some genuinely funny scenes and even funnier acting. Plus plenty of babes. If you take this movie on the level of an almost comic book type of story You will enjoy it. Unless youre a female. Or play for the other team.
Rating: Summary: Silly 1970's fun Review: I saw this movie as a teenager at the old Paramount theater in San Juan. So it brings back some great memories of days when one had to struggle to see naughty R-rated movies. Seeing it again as an adult was interestimg, The humor is pretty dumb, but the girls are still sexy. And the movie has a "devil-may-care" attitude which is refreshing. The strip football game is fun to watch. The DVD is pretty plain. It just features a trailer. It would have been nice to have has a director's or cast commentary. Or to see how the HOTS girls are doing. Although, perhaps, its better to remember them as they were back in the 70's.
Rating: Summary: There's a big difference between nudity and quality nudity. Review: If the girls in this film were considered "hot" back in 1979 then I'm glad I was still in preschool.
Some unattractive women, not college age girls, but actual 30-year-old women who cannot get into the popular Pi sorority start their own sorority called H.O.T.S. which stands for Help Out The Seals and sadly their pet seal was the best part of the movie.
The goal of the H.O.T.S. girls is to steal all the guys away from Pi house, so they throw "wild" parties, jump topless out of a airplane (too bad the camera was on the ground), fly a hot air balloon over the Pi house to launch pies on the Pi girls as they sunbathe topless, etc. The script seems to have been written by a 12-year-old, which isn't a bad thing. I liked the fast-paced wackiness of it all and the frequent topless scenes were nice. Unfortunately I didn't find any of the girls even remotely attractive.
If this film was remade today with the same amount of nudity and with Nikki Ziering, Brittany Daniel, Shannon Elizabeth and Jenna Jameson as the four main H.O.T.S. girls and maybe Catherine Bell as the house mom it would gross over $800 million in DVD sales.
I also agree with one of the previous reviewers who complained about the lack of rear shots. How rude.
Rating: Summary: H.O.T.S. - A reminder from the early days of HBO... Review: In former days, that is to say once upon a time, when we first got cable this movie would air late at night over and over again. It speaks to a time when the point was to come up with a plausible reason for women to expose their breasts. This film overcomes that particular obstacle by putting the women in college sororities who then take each other on. Consequently there is the deep and meaningful message that we should all be more accepting of each other, and especially of women with large breasts. In other words, this is not a date movie. This is not really a movie for people who have a realistic chance of going out on a date. This is not a great film, but for this particular genre it is certainly fun and if you are sober you will get quite a few laughs and not all of them at the expense of Danny Bonaduce. It has a warm spot in my heart because this was the film that introduced me to the skin flick genere on late night HBO. Not that I can see me telling the grandkids about it someday. Yes, I remember seeing this movie on "Up All Night" and watched simply to see what they would do with the film's climax, the strip-touch-football game. You have to wonder about the thinking behind the fact that they shot the final scenes twice, once with tops and once withouts. Who would have thought there was some genius thinking about making this film available to network television? Now, this film is available in a widescreen edition. The mind boggles. Is this a great country or what?
Rating: Summary: Just buy it! Review: Okay, okay, it's not the greatest movie in the world. Two words, though: SUSAN KIGER. Buy it twice!!!
