Summary: The best of the breed
Review: I think of all the teen dramedy movies of late, this is the best. Probably because it has the highest ratio of people that can really act in it, and possibly because Freddy Prinze has nothing to do with this. The actors actually develop tensions between each other. The music generally fits the events of the movie, rather than giving the feeling that they threw in any old hit song. It still feels like a teen movie, but I think it tries a lot less hard to be cool to the teens. Maybe it is just not so noticeable. There is no extra maturity, or complexity, but I think that is due to the stars abilities. The extra DVD features are lacking, but I definitely recommend this movie.

Review: I would highly reccomend this movie to anyone. It is filled with very clever portrayals of the issues that face teenagers. I really liked the fathers attitude toward the dating of his two daughters. I saw a little of my own father in him. This movie is also great for a family to watch together as the content is child friendly.

Summary: Actually realistic
Review: This movie actually has people playing roles who "look" like they're in high school. Well, except Heath Ledger who looked more of a college kid. Anyway, the story was sweet and Julia Stiles ruled the movie just by that one scene where she was table dancing. Larisa Oleynik did a great job playing snobby, superficial Bianca, which was a total 180 from her famous Alex Mack character on Nick. This movie gets 5 stars.

Summary: The Best modern era Teen movie
Review: One of my guilty pleasures are watching teen movies. I am a 32 year old guy who likes this cheese ball stuff for some reason. This by far the best modern era teen movie. This is good enough to stack up against the 80's teen flicks that were so outstanding. In this update of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. There are a pair of sisters, the younger one is not allowed to date until the older one does. The older sister is consumed with being different and being a loner , we find out that there is a reason for this attitude. In addition so many guys want to date the younger sister that they pay a new kid at the school to try and date the older sister. Well just like all good teen movies romance blooms for everyone and everyone is happy. If your looking for a really great feel good movie this may be for you.

Summary: Great modern adaptation
Review: As a fan of Shakespeare and also a fan of cheesy teen films, 10 Things I Hate About You is one of the best Shakespeare adaptations so far. The story follows two sisters, the outcast Katarina "Kat" Stratford (Julia Stiles) and the popular Bianca Stratford (Larissa Oleynik). Bianca wants to go out with the most popular guy in school, Joey (Andrew Keegan). Her father (Larry Miller) objects for fear of his daughters becoming pregnant--he's an obstetrician and sees teen mothers all the time. He devises a plan in which Bianca can date--when Kat does. Kat is, according to Bianca, "a mutant" who will never date.A plan is created by the new guy Cameron James (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Michael Eckman (David Krumholtz) to find a guy to go out with Kat so that Cameron can go out with Bianca. The only suitable prospect they can find is Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger), the mysterious loner who has been gone for a year, no one knows where, though plenty of rumors fly around. This movie provides plenty of laughs while telling the story of the awkwardness of growing up and finding yourself in the modern teen world. Kat and Bianca's story serves as a reminder that just when you think you've got everything figured out, something comes along that changes everything. Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger create a perfect pair, with the right chemistry to usher them through to the end. Witty dialogue with quotes from Shakespeare himself mixed in. Also look for Allison Janney as the school counselor, Ms. Perky, and cameos by Letters to Cleo and Save Ferris. The DVD lacks any real special features other than the theatrical trailer, but you can see goofs and jokes during the ending credits after the movie.

Summary: Wow...Definitely a must see movie
Review: I saw this movie a couple weeks ago and totally fell in love with it and it's characters. Yes, I am a teenager, but I also understand that many adults (including my parents and sisters) have enjoyed it. Any teenager that watches this movie can relate to something, which is one reason I found it so interesting. I think many viewers find themselves totally interested in one character and paying attention to that one throughout the movie, hoping he/she gets what they want. Also, the acting in this movie, was awesome. The casting director needs some kind of award for this, because the teenagers portray their characters very well. If you haven's seen this movie, you must see it. Maybe some people find it to be a bad movie, but I think most of you will be very interested in it and want to watch it again and again.

Summary: great movie
Review: This movie was really good. It was hillarious yet unpredicdable. The script was very funny and very well written and the cast interpereted it well and showed that on the screen. Heath Ledger's australian accent was awesomeand Michael was Hillarious especially in the bar scene. One of my favourite quotes in the movie was "Am I transperent? I want you I need you! Oh Baby Oh Baby" (said sarcastically).
