Summary: I wouldn't trust that kid as far as I could throw him.
Review: Possibly the most fun you can have whilst sitting down, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is brilliant. Ferris is the ultimate high school idol. He is irreverent towards authority, has a gorgeous girl friend, both loves and scams his parents, has a not so friendly rivalry with the principal and manages to maintain a philosophical detachment from the major crises that make unwanted appearances in his life.

As the title suggests the story covers one day in the life of Ferris Bueller. Being a fine weather day in Chicago, a fairly rare event in my experience, Ferris decides to skip school. The trouble is that he has no car and thus needs his best friend Cameron to pick him up. And what day off would be complete without his girl by his side. The level of planning and immaculate execution required to achieve these things sets an example for all of us. If he can do all of this from within the restrictions of the school system, then what limits do the rest of us really need to acknowledge.

Once the three main players are assembled we are treated to a wonderful tour of Chicago. Though the stock exchange, art galleries, observation towers, restaurants, baseball games and street parades, we get to experience it all. Meanwhile in the humorously detective styled underbelly of the film, the principal is methodically tracking down Ferris.

The sub plots in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" don't stop there however. Included are such beauties as an insanely jealous Sister trying to expose Ferris' machinations to the world, a morbidly fascinating psychology in the form of Cameron's relationship with his clinically insensitive parents, Ferris' off sick excuse snow balling into almost telethon proportions, (Save Ferris! is the slogan), and an improbable series of near discoveries by Ferris' father.

I haven't yet met anyone who hasn't enjoyed Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It will leave you feeling on top of the world, so give it a go when you are feeling low.

Review: This movie is top-notch. One of my favorites. It's Matthew Broderick at his prime, for those fans out there. The story of a high school kid who can get away with skipping an entire day of school w/o getting caught is good fun for all. Jennifer Grey does a good job, and there's a Charlie Sheen cameo, if you're one of his groupies. So go out and get it. I highly recommend it. It is so choice. What? You're still here? This review is over. Go. Go on.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: Wow, what a great, hilarious movie! Why can't they make stuff like this anymore? All of today's teen movies are so lame. This tells the story of a crafty high school kid (Matthew Broderick, at his best)who plots to skip school with his best friend (Alan Ruck) and his girlfriend (Mia Sara). Seems like a simple plot, but the movie, undoubtedly, is hilarious. It's one of those movies you could watch over and over, and never get tired of it. My only compaint is that they could have had some better music featured in it, being that it was in the time period it was in, and that it featured wild and crazy teenagers. Y'know, Scorps, GNR, Metallica. But, oh well. In conclusion, do check out this movie if you have not. It is old, but great.

Summary: A Hilarious Film!
Review: "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"is a movie about living life to its fullest.Matthew Broderick is Ferris Bueller,a 17 year old highschooler who decides to skip school one sunny day.In realizing it is his 9th sick day in a semester,he figures he'd better make it worthwhile. So, he heads downtown Chicago with his semi-neurotic best friend Cameron(Alan Ruck)and His girlfriend Sloane(Mia Sara)in Cameron's dad's expensive red ferrari. They visit an art museum,go to a fancy restaurant for lunch, and attend a parade, where Ferris raids a float.Jennifer Grey is perfect as Jeannie,Ferris's jealous older sister.Jeffrey Jones is Ed Rooney, the Dean of Students whose one wish is to destroy Ferris. And Edie McClurg is hilarious as Grace,Rooney's halfwit secretary.A hilarious film with lots of laughs and an excellent cast!

Summary: great commentary, great movie
Review: The widescreen was the best I have seen to date, the black bars at the top didn't take up to much space, not as distracting as other widescreens have been. The commentary was great, very funny. If you have fond memories of the movie you will enjoy the DVD.

Summary: The best John Hughes film!
Review: Better than Uncle Buck, better than Sixteen Candles, and better than the Breakfast Club. I thought this was one of the best movies of the 80's. I saw this on Comedy Central a couple of months ago and I liked it. But I think if your only in middle school I think it's that kind of movie that you want to watch over and over again and never get sick of it but once you'll hit high school you'll probably think it's gotten boring and stupid but it's still the best comedy movie ever made. I mean heck I'm in high school and I think it's a great movie and I love that feraii!

Summary: Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Review: Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a clever comedy. Matthew Broderick stars in this incredibly funny film. As a boy growing up in the city of Chicago he manages to escape from school to the city for as adverntous day off.

With an all star cast including and guest appeaerence from Ben Stein, this film takes you back to being a kid again. Ferris Bueller manipulates his way in and out of close calls and stikey situations.

Ferris Bueller's day off begins by his faking sick and staying home from school. He then gets his girlfriend, Sloan Peterson (Mia Sarah) out of class, while his best friend, Cameron Frye (Allen Ruck) is sick at home. Together they all head off to the city for a ball game, lunch at a 4 star restraunt, and a day to remember. This fil is not all about fun and games. Throughout the day Ferris helps Cameron to find hi inner feelings and take a stand.

This is a great film for people of different ages and personalities, so basicly it is foe everyone. It is a story of friendship, love, and growing up!

Review: I loved this film when I saw it as a teenager and I still love it today. The actors are excellent and really funny - from Matthew Broderick to the incredibly beautiful Mia Sara. "Save Ferris!"

Summary: Still a great movie, even now.
Review: I first saw this movie this week, and it's in the top five ofmy favorite all-time movies. Both Matthew Broderick, and JeffreyJones steal the show, and the movie is very well directed, not unlike another of my favorite movies, the Breakfast Club. (Same Director). Anyway, give it a rent, I gaurantee you won't be disappointed. It's very funny, with likeable characters, and some very memorable scenes. (Ferris mouthing the words to Danke Shoen, and Twist and Shout, during a parade, is one that particularily stands out).

Summary: Fun
Review: This movie is best enjoyed when you are about 13. People who liked it when they were 13 might want to go back and see it objectively, without nostalgia. It has some appealing moments, but doesn't consistently sustain its comedic level or its treatment of the characters very well.
