Review: A classic! the best matthew i have seen yet in his movies! a great script! one of the best movies of all time....every joke is funny. Rating: Summary: Ferris on DVD.... Review: Of course this is a great film, so I will comment on the DVD. The picture is very good compared to others I've seen from this timeframe. It is made for widescreen!! Sound is great and the commentary by John Hughes is very enlightening(I wish he'd done one for Breakfast Club!!). Interesting to hear how much character development he planned for and you get secret info, like the fact that all the leaves on the trees outside the glass garage at Camerons towards the end of the movie had to be painted green as it was summer when they took the car and was into fall when they filmed the car busting thru the glass. Overall a great buy, don't hesitate to upgrade to DVD on this one!!!
Rating: Summary: the must see comedy movie Review: This was one of the best movies ever. Every line is a crack up. When I watch it I can't here it I am laughing so hard. It is the story of a boy who is a sophmore in high school. He fakes being sick and gets away with it. THen he persuades his best friend cameron to get out of bed, Cameron thinks he's always sick, and think up a plan to get ferris's girlfriend, Sloane, out of school. they succeed and spend the day having fun in chicago. Then they have to race back home after something happens to cameron. It is hilarious
Rating: Summary: THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER! Review: I loved this movie! It is my all time favorite! If you love comedies, you will LOVE this movie! I couldn't stop laughing! So get away from your computer and watch it already!
Rating: Summary: BUELLER. FERRIS BUELLER Review: This movie is one of the funniest comedies of all time. There are so many funny parts.Everytime I see Cameron in this movie,I crack up.The "twist and shout" is now a classic. "WHEN CAMERON WAS IN EGYPT'S LAND, LET MY CAMERON GO"
Rating: Summary: Ferris Bueller's Day Off Review: This is a classic, worthy to be on the most avid film collector's shelf. Matthew Broderick is priceless as the all-knowing Ferris, playing hooky one last time before graduation. Alan Ruck plays Cameron Frye, his best friend, who gets coaxed into the fun and frolicking. Mia Sara is also stunning as Ferris' main squeeze "Sloane Peterson" but perhaps the funniest character in this movie is Jennifer Grey who plays Ferris' younger sister Jeanie. She is constantly trying to get him "caught in the act " of skipping school, but in the end comes to his aid. A must for all students and teachers to see.
Rating: Summary: A teenage film adults love more than kids Review: John Huges has some of the best films about teenagers and families. The reason I love this movie is because I always skiped school when I was a teenager.I had a friend just like Ferris,Tom Murphy. We all looked up to him,and I was Cameron in away,I had a car,but was poor. This movie's not only a comedy, but has some serious issues with Cameron, played by Spin Citys Alan Ruck.I love it when Matthew Broderick looks at the camera and talks to us during the movie. The greatest part is the parade, when Ferris sings to the Beatles,"Twist and Shout."One thing I always love about John Hughes films is the music. Its always way out there. You might hear punk rock or Wayne Newton."Ferris Bueller's day off"is one movie everyone in the family can enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Very funny! Review: This film starts out very funny. The first hour or so is great. However, the last half hour gets kind of boring. Nevertheless, this film starts out great. Matthew Broderick plays a high school student who basically doesn't want to go to school one day. He calls his friend, who is extremely sick, and convinces him to take his dad's sports car out for a spin. Ferris, his girl friend, and his best friend spend the day going to Chicago, and hanging out there. The plot isn't that great, but for a movie this funny, you don't really need a plot. Again, the only major downfall to this movie is that the last third of it isn't as great as the rest of it. However, this movie is still outstanding.
Rating: Summary: Ferris rules, but his DVD doesn't Review: Ok, so eversince I was a really small kid, I always loved "Ferris." The movie was always appealing and when I got the DVD I thought that it would come with some great perks. I mean, this movie is practically a cult classic, and the DVD should have come with some trivia or at least a little bit about the actors. All the movie came with was commentary by John Hughes. I think the DVD should have at least come with some deleted scenes or outakes. The only good thing about the DVD was the quality, the sound was great and the picture was absolutely perfect.
Rating: Summary: HA! Review: What a great movie. This movie was great because I hate school and it was great to have seen a movie about skipping school and giving the principle hell. All time classic that i recomend to every one except teachers.
