Summary: Great movie, terrible video
Review: Unless you've spent the last 20 years on the far side of Mars you know the story of "Animal House". Suffice to say that this is one of the funniest movies of all time. Which is unfortunate because this is also one of the worst dvds I have ever seen. The picture is grainy, the brightness level changes almost continuously, and the sound is muddy at best. I realize that this is no "Citizen Kane", but you would think Universal would have taken more care with the release of such a popular movie. I have heard that the "special edition" of Animal House is better, but I'm not risking it. Rent this one before you buy.

Summary: ENTERTAINING, AND INSTRUCTIVE
Review: I've never thought of finding a date by cross-indexing the young obituaries for neighbors and friends of the decedent...but these guys proved it works! Hilarious yet inspiring, drunken and perverted!. All will love this film. A true cinematic masterpiece - Shakespeares best work!

Summary: This movie rules!
Review: Even though this movie has it's moments just like any other, John Beushi brings his brilliant acting into the movie resulting in a film that will amuse anyone with a "twisted" sense of humor and leave them yelling

TOGA!!!!!! TOGA!!!!!

Summary: One to see over and over again!
Review: Okay, okay. I know we're supposed to watch only sophisticated films that better us, but here's a guilty pleasure that can't be beat! It makes one long for the old irreverence of the National Lampoon! All you can wish in a movie about college life: toga parties, a wild city street scene, half-naked girls, great 1960's music, even a dead horse! John Belushi is outstanding! Donald Sutherland is excellent as a professor. (As one myself, I can fully sympathize with his sentiments regarding Milton and students' reactions to same.) Yup. This movie is crass and gross at times. Antisocially motivated. Appeals to coarse sentiments. But if you want uplift, get a Wonderbra!

Summary: The Best Ever
Review: It doesn't get any better than this. Where was 'The House' when all those top 100 lists came out. Too many good scenes to count. Go on John - smash that guitar! Did you notice that the check out girl also appears as in Caddyshack as Maggie - the Irish girl who dates Danny Noonan. Bet you didn't know that!
