Summary: a likeable comedy for some what of an ok time
Review: I saw Old School in the theaters and let me tell ya, whew. It had its moments, basically Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell steal the movie and Jeremy Piven is just so hateable in this movie. The funniest moments are when Ferrell and that old guy are together, Blue.

Funniest line- "Your my boy Blue"- Ferrell

anyway, I enjoyed it for its time and I left not so bored.

Summary: Simply awesome
Review: The gradual disappearance of quality non-PC comedies in the last few years has been a downer, but every so often something comes out of nowhere and makes me roll on the floor with laughter - this is Old School, the funniest movie since Road Trip (incidentally made by the same people, too). If Old School was shown to the Taliban, they would put down their weapons and toast to world peace over kegs and strippers. The extras on the DVD are worth it, especially the deleted scene with Vince Vaughn inside the store run by his character, as is the Inside The Actor's Studio Spoof. Walk - no, streak - to your nearest DVD outlet or website and buy this.

Summary: Good Movie
Review: I bought this movie because the previews looked really funny. When I watched it, I was a little disappointed. The movie is funny, but it didn't live up to all the hype that was made about it.

My favorite part is the cinder block scene! :c)

Summary: 'You're my boy, Blue!! You're my boy.
Review: I love Old School. All of my friends love Old School. I am going to be 30 very soon, and I can relate to these 30-somethings wanting to relive their college fraternity days. The movie is hysterical. I know guys like the guys in this picture. Guys around 30 will love this picture. I smile everytime I see it.

Summary: One of the best if you're in the right mood
Review: My wife and i, generally conservative and in our late 40's, watched this one Fri nite when our 2 teenage kids were out. The way the movie started had us giggling at first but as things developed in the plotline we were laughing ourselves into near hysterics, having to pause at numerous places in the show to stop laughing so that we wouldn't miss anything. Others have compared this to an updated "Animal House", something i wouldn't quibble with at all. I think that anyone who enjoyed "Animal House" would add a gem in getting "Old School" for their DVD library.

Summary: I am not a talker, I am not a talker.......
Review: This is an excellent comedy, I saw it twice at the theater and I have seen it 3 times on DVD. The more you watch it the more things you pick on. I do not own many movies but this is a must in my collection. Vince, Will and Luke are great, so is Juliette Lewis. I have read some of the reviews and I have to agree that the the unrated and out of control part may be misleading to some people. Here is a tip: if you want some good nudity get yourself a girlfriend, if you want to see a funny movie see Old School. Reviewers that did not like this movie should mention other movies that they did like to put things on perspective for the rest of us, if you like movies such as Scary Movie, Not Another Teen Movie, then you've got a problem.
If you got through this review you deserve another tip. There is a deleted scene on this DVD that not many know about. Go to "setup" scroll down with the arrows until you highlight "Frank" and click. Voila.

Summary: College Life without the Education
Review: Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell give college a second try in the raucous comedy "Old School". A party for their depressed friend Mitch (Luke Wilson) becomes the talk of the college campus and gives them the chance to relive their wild college lives. Soon, Mitch, Frank "The Tank" (Will Ferrell) and Beanie (Vince Vaughn) form their own unorthodox fraternity whom crazy hijinks draw the attention of no-nonsense Dean Pritcher (Jeremy Piven). "Old School" is a hilarious comic romp but it's no "Animal House". The movie is good-natured fun with a great comic cast and off-beat humor. Luke Wilson and Vince Vaughn are quite funny but it's Will Ferrell who delivers the movie's outrageous scenes.

Except for some slight nudity in the opening menu, there isn't much difference between the un-rated and rated editions of "Old School". The movie is presented in anamorphic widescreen format. The DVD contains a fine video transfer with good sharpness and color detail. The dolby digital and DTS sound is clear and often engaging. The DVD contains audio commentaries by cast and Director Todd Phillips, deleted scenes, "Inside the Actors Studio" spoof and behind-the-scene featurette. Overall, "Old School: Unrated Edition" scores a "B-".

Summary: Just plain fun
Review: This is not high-brow humor, it is not about plays on words and intellectual laughs... it is about beer, sex, and all other things that fraternities are stereotypically known for. The first time I saw the movie (in the theater) I thought it was funny, but did not find it too memorable. Seeing it a second time (at my husband's coaxing) I found it much funnier. We did purchase the unrated edition, but I don't think there was really too much material that was added...

I loved the cameos in the movie, from Snoop Dogg to Andy Dick... they really added to the overall humor.

The special deleted scenes on the DVD are also great--don't miss them! Also, if you are a Will Ferrell (SNL) fan, check out the Inside the Actors Studio clip. It runs a little long, but has some hilarious moments.

Summary: so funnny
Review: u gotta see this movie. the characters are so funny togethere and the story is so good and funny stuff happens just at the perfect time. alotta movies tried to follow in the footsteps of american pie which seemed to bring back the crude style comedies and this one was the next best after the american pie series in my opinon. check it out.
