Summary: See this for what it is, everybody...
Review: I read the book first. I loved it. I saw the movie, and loved it even more. The story is excellent, and the visually stimulating recreation done by Fincher made my jaw drop. Worthy of an oscar nomination in my opinion. As usual, Norton puts in a performance that further solidifies his high ranking among the young actors today.

However, I think many people are trying really hard to analyze this movie, and in doing so they're only scratching the surface. Many of the reviews of this book/movie have been entirely off base in my opinion. Norton's character was frustrated and unhappy with his life. I'm sure many people can symphathyze and even agree with him. But the character was also schizophrenic, with multiple personality disorder and an inferiority complex. He is not a character that is a victim of a mundane, artificial society that breeds contempt as well as conformity. He is a product of a screwed up head that was probably brought about from some physical or mental abuse. Tyler emerged because his alter-ego was a psycho. Should we praise the actions of a delusional sick mental patient as appropriate and even revolutionary? That would be like praising Genghis or Adolf. Lets accept this movie for what it is: a fantastic story about a sick, albiet brilliant, man who, in his struggle to regain his sanity, managed to gain the loyalty an army of blind followers: both in fiction and in real life(i.e. many of these reviewers).

PS: The book ending was alot better. Check it out.

Summary: Remember, the Oscars Voted Titanic Best Picture
Review: First of all, having the same organization that voted Titanic best picture should not disgrace this picture with the same award. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Excellent performances all around, paritcularly Brad Pitt. This movie, along with American Beauty and Magnolia, is one of the best of the past year. The only thing that kept this movie from being the best was its mediocre ending. The best part of it is the transition. This movie changed the way I look at my own life. I saw it twice and regret not seeing it more. If you have never seen this movie, you have to see it more than once. It is a totally different experience when you see it a second time. The hidden stuff within the frames is real cool too. This movie is just an amazing ride!

Summary: Nihilism in practice
Review: If nihilism intrigues you then take a look at Fight Club. This is the definitive story of a true nihilist. Try it you may like it. Although you may or may not identify with the protagonist, if you are open, you will learn something about your self and possibly the human soul.

Summary: Fight Club
Review: I have not seen the DVD, but I pre-ordered it! I did see this movie in the theatres 6 times. And let me tell you, NO MOVIE has affected my life quite like this one. The title may make the movie sound like a couple of guys beating each other up and starting a club of it, but if that's what you expect from this movie get ready to get your brain torn out and kicked around. About the violent content: I've seen worse dehumanizing violence in Disney cartoons. The book is very well written and the movie is true to it, this is definately David Fincher's best so far, Pitt and Norton deserved Best Actor Nominations. Forget American Beauty, watch a real movie that tells it like it is....or how it should be.

Summary: Wonderful- intellectually twisted
Review: This would definately have to be the best of Brad Pitt's films. However, this film goes well beyond that by providing a twisted and intricate story line that involves the audience every step of the way. One can not watch this film without feeling mildly disturbed at the amount of emphatic connection with the film. This movie's not for kiddies, though. Definately not. Enjoy!

Summary: cool for some people
Review: at first I was a little off-put by the title. I went to go see this movie because I admire the work of David Fincher very much. I must admit that, despite the graphic violence and facism involved, I truly enjoyed the movie. this is only the second movie i have gone to see in the theatres two times. it has a surprising ending, not your so-called "same old movie" I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for an evening of entertainment that is a little bit less ordinary.

Summary: A Masterpiece of Epic Porportions: Hated by Conformists
Review: This Movie was easily the greatest movie I have ever seen. At nopoint was I not amazed by its gorgeous cinemetography, or its plot that keeps the audience raptured. This movie told you to think outside the box, so natuarally those who cling to the inner walls of the box will resent the message in this movie. I work in a movie theatre and this movie was definently snubbed by the public, looking at the title and wondering why Jean Claude Van Damme wasn't in it. The fact that the DVD will be a double disc crammed full with features only goes to show how much thought and care was put into this great film. I say film because a movie is something made by production companies to earn money. While Fight Club is a film because it certainly did not make money, it also gives the world a message about your world and how to percieve it. I would seriously recommend to anyone to inves the $4.75 needed to rent this movie.

Summary: I've got to do a review of this one
Review: Quite possibly the only film other than _Blade Runner_ to achieve instant cult status is that of _Fight Club_. Critics hated this film. Almost everyone I know hates this film. Those few of us that like this film really, really like this film. It is an artistic treat of excellent acting, an excellent story, a nice industrial score, and strange funkyness that never ends.

A must see film. But I warn you, you'll either love it or hate it.

Summary: The Best Movie Ever- Robbed at the Oscars
Review: I remember anticipating this movie with my buddies at school, October 15, 1999 was the greatest movie watching experience I have ever had. This film gave me so many emotions and insights with my own problems as well as other problems that Americans have to deal with. This brave, extremely well shot movie deserved much more than a sound effects editing award at the oscars, it was a masterpiece. Brilliantly acted by pitt and norton, this was perfectly based on the outstanding book (read it before the movie). Now the anticipation is rising for this feature packed DVD which should encapsulate the movie theater watching experience I had. If you want to see a movie that makes you think, revs your emotions, and makes you wanna go run around naked through the streets, this is definately the one to see again and again

Summary: Fight Club is not just a movie!
Review: David Fincher is a master. After "Seven", I didn't think it would be possible for him to create better, but he certainly has done just that! You find yourself dwelling on this movie long after the credits have disappeared. Discussions with friends appear never-ending. A definite must-own! Don't allow the violence to steer you clear. Take the leap! You won't regret it. Just keep reminding yourself how great "Seven" was. That should do the trick!
