Summary: Great cable guy
Review: I believe this is one of the better movies of the 90's. Until I saw this, I may have not noticed Jim Carrey. As a student of psychoanalysis, I intuitively know the hostility underneath all comedy. Jim Carrey pulls through beautifully, with a picture of his own frightening hostility.

Summary: not bad, but definitely worth it for one scene
Review: I saw this at a friend's house, not being a huge fan of Jim Carrey or his work. The movie went along as usual, mildly funny, until Chip and Steve (Carrey and Broderick) went to Medieval Times- there is the highlight of the movie! That whole scene was just a scream. Absolutely inspired! I laughed so hard during the Medieval Times scene - it is so hilarious - in my opinion probably one of the funniest movie scenes ever (and not in your typical grossout Jim Carrey way) and I was so surprised to find such a comedy jewel stuck in the middle of this semi-unknown movie. I own this video, but I usually only watch the Medieveal Times scene - it is worth buying the video for, but that's about it. Still, if you haven't seen it, the jousting scene had me rolling on the floor in tears, it is just tooo funny! Feel free to memorize the dialog and sprinkle it liberally through your conversations. Thanks to ye, fair wench!

Summary: I Could Use Make A Joke About Carreys' Voice But I Won't....
Review: I Really Think This Is One Of My Favorite Dark Comdies.I Really Enjoy The Fact That The Some Of My Family Does Not Like This Film Because You Need Something Out Of The Ordinary. This Film Is About A Broken Hearted Matthew Brodderick Having To Move Out And He Develops An Unnatuaral Bond With His Cable Guy Jim Carrey.I Really Do Not Understand All Of The Negative Hype This Is Reciving. The Same Happend To Carrey's Other Film The Truman Show,Both GREAT Films Which The Critics,Pardon The Pun,"Chewed Up And Spit Out".All The People Wanted Was For Jim Carrey To Be In The Category Of Pure Comedy,Like The Ace Movies And The Others. It Is A different Movie With Different Views. That Is What It Is. Well That Is Just My Thoughts,I Could Be Wrong,But Hey.....I Hope You Enjoy My Review.Feel Free To Look At My Others.Bye,Bye Now....Have A Good Day....

Summary: Simply the Best of Carrey
Review: Nothing angers me more than when people claim this was Carrey's worst film just because it did not earn 100 million. This film is undoubtedly the most clever and best film of Jim Carrey. His other films, though very good, just don't compare to the reality based humor of this film. From the classic Medieval Times excursion to the perhaps hauntingly hilarious phone messages left by Carrey on Broderick's machine, this film gives life to so many excellent scenarios. People talk of how Carrey should have won awards for Man on the Moon and The Truman Show, but this movie clearly takes the cake. His depiction is a sublime depiction of a true psychopath.

Summary: Very Under-rated.
Review: This remains remains a tie with Dumb and Dumber for my favorite Carrey film. I cannot choose one over the other because they really are 2 different comic entities. Don't expect the giddiness of the Mask or Ace Ventura here, but expect a pretty dark comedy which Carrey fits into "like a gllloove! " I never knew that he could be so creepy. I think everyone has known somene like this cable guy at one point in their lives! The movie also has a message, and it is a good one. It's fairly obvious at the end, but I'll let you discover that on your own. Don't delay in watching this movie, because "he who hesitates....."

Summary: THIMPLY THUPER!
Review: This is brilliant, very funny and darkly comical. The acting is great and Carrey does a brilliant performance as Chip Douglas, a man obssessed with making a friend for life. A lot of critics and people slanted this film but I liked it and everyone is free to judge it for themselves. Only you can decide what you like and what you don't.

Summary: THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE
Review: This movie was genius. I have never seen Jim Carrey act like this in my life. I loved the movie. He combines his humor with his psycho side and the movie is just brilliant. I would give this 1,000,000 stars but there is only a 5 star scale.

Summary: Hideously underrated . . . one of Carrey's best
Review: In my opinion this movie is much funnier than Ace Ventura or The Mask. This really is a terribly underrated movie, as it full of great gags, and although the premise is somewhat simple, it is built on very well. Carrey gives a terrific performance as "The Cable Guy". This deranged character is a product of neglective parents letting TV raise their children - literally. A very funny, and very good movie. Yes, it does get a little too dark, especially towards the end, but it is still very well done. I'm surprised a movie this funny was directed by the hideously OVER-rated Ben Stiller - stick to directing, Ben, you're much better at that than acting.
