Rating: Summary: Do You Believe??? Review: Leap of Faith is a movie about nothing but that..... Faith. Do you believe is the question the entire movie asks over and over again. Steve's character (Jonas) believed once, but that faith was shattered by someone whom he thought he could trust. His way of dealing with his pain was to con everyone he could for the injustice that was done to him until in the end truth shows up. This one act of truth turned his world upside down, and now he had to ask himself.... Do "you" believe? The performances in the movie were riveting, the musical score was done exceptionally well. In closing I believe that we all have faced trying circumstances which test our metal, but the real question remains.... Do You Believe???
Rating: Summary: Steve Martin at his best Review: Leap of Faith is an excellent movie, with great music! I would really love to have it on DVD.
Rating: Summary: Are you ready for a "MIRACLE" Review: Leap of faith quite simply is a comedy masterpiece. Steve Martin is on top form as he plays the role of "Johnus Nightingale" a faith healer who travels the country with his choir and fantastic sound and lights to entertain and heal. But make no mistake this film is set out to show up the way these so called men of god work. And whe the lights go down and Steve Martin comes on the stage he is full energy and constently on the move, the comic value is in the way that he performs on the stage and not in the quick jokey way that people concider funny these days. I would advise any one to get this film and marvel this mans fantastic talent on the screen. J.J
Rating: Summary: Please please get it on DVD Review: One of my favourite Steve Martin Movies. Why is it still not on DVD.

Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: Steve Is Great In This Movie About A Con Man Who One Night Performs A Real Miracle And He Was Shocked It Is Great Watch It You Will Love It I Have Watched It Over And Over Again
Rating: Summary: Steve Martin is a joy to watch Review: Steve Martin is a joy to watch in his portrayal of a religous charlatan preying on the gullible. Leonard Maltin's criticism of his performance as "not credible" is off the wall. Martin hits the mark, carries the movie with convincing charisma.
Rating: Summary: The Well Known Correlation Between MEATLOAF & Word Of Faith! Review: Steve Martin is born to play the starring role of Jonas Nightingale, a travelling huckster, fraud of a faith healer, demon "caster outer", "slay in the spiriter" & more importantly, a money grubbing false prophet. Along with his no-nonsense sidekick manager, Jane, played aptly by Debra Winger, they bilk poor souls from a small town out of their hard earned cash with the oldest profession in the world. No, not prostitution. The selling of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ! This film exhibits many word-faith doctrines such as "positive confession", "gospel of health", "gospel of wealth" and the whole "name it and claim it" belief. More imporantly, what it also has is some great smaller role performances given by Lolita Davidovich as waitress Marva, Lukas Haas as Boyd, Liam Neeson as Will, Philip Seymour Hoffman as Matt, and MEATLOAF as Hoover! This movie also has a great soundtrack with samplings from Don Henley, Patti LaBelle, Wynonna Judd and of course, the great Meatloaf with "Paradise By The Dashboard Lights"! Seriously though... This film has a great ending and shows what REAL MIRACLES are made of and EXACTLY where they are made... A fun & entertaining family film! Happy Watching!
Rating: Summary: Highly Entertaining Review: Steve Martin is underrated. The man is a good actor! Especially in this movie. I think he was the perfect choice for this role. The music is great, and see, what is really good about this movie is that in the end, the charlatan is spoken to and is given another chance by the Master.
Rating: Summary: Best Steve Martin ever Review: The best Steve Martin movie ever. Debra Winger is superb and you can even ignore the anomaly of a tall Irish sheriff in Kansas. Great script, excellent acting, fantastic music (get the soundtrack). Rather than waste your money on Burning Down the House get this instead.
