Summary: great look at a tv soap opera and it's stars
Review: this movie is a great spoof on the going on's at make believe soap opera!!It is very confusing just like the soaps in real life daytime tv!!Look for some of todays hottest stars in a movie you would least likely to see them in!!!It is very funny movie and very good!!a must for soap opera addicts of either prime time or daytime soap junkies!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This movie deserves an Oscar!
Review: This movie is a must-see for anyone addicted to soaps or anyone addicted to making fun of them! The entire cast is funny, particularly Kevin Kline. The script is well written and the film as a whole is well produced. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a truly funny film.

Summary: Fun and funnier!
Review: This movie is funny, witty, and just downright fun! It has an all-star cast, with the standout being good ol' Robert Downey, Jr. But I'm biased--I love all his work. His talent shines again. He plays a producer who only cares about one thing--himself. And he will do whatever it takes to take care of himself, no matter who is involved. Kevin Kline is also a great, having some of the best lines in the film. This is a great Sunday afternoon film. Try it. And see for yourself why I love Downey.

Summary: Forget Marshall Fine's Review, Thank you!
Review: This movie is HILARIOUS, and the first time I saw it in the theater, people were practically rolling in the aisles. Sally Field, Kevin Kline are fantastic, but my favorite is Cathy Moriarity, playing the evil soap vixen Montana Moorehead. She is just perfect!! I also like Robert Downey Jr. a lot too. If you are fan of daytime drama, you will love this movie, because it has many inside jokes for soap fans -- even the sets and cinematography add to the "soapish" flare. This is a treat not to be missed. Take it out when you are feeling blue and you will be roaring in no time!!

Summary: Very enjoyable
Review: This movie isn't a laugh-riot from start to finish, but it does have some very funny moments, mostly when Kevin Kline or Cathy Moriarty are onscreen. Both of them rip into their roles with gusto, and steal the show from Sally Field, who is funny but only truly lets loose when she's interacting with Kline (i.e., an uproarious scene in Kline's apartment). Whoopi Goldberg and Robert Downey Jr. give fine comical supporting performances, as does Teri Hatcher (sporting extremely big hair) and Elisabeth Shue (though it's a little hard to picture the blonde Shue as the child of Kline and Field). Clever cameos by Garry Marshall, Carrie Fisher, Leeza Gibbons, and several soap actors round out the enviable cast, and sharp writing keep the whole thing afloat even in the weaker parts.

Summary: Laugh, Laugh Laugh
Review: Why can't funny movies like this be appreciated instead of downgraded? This is a soap opera set in a soap opera, and better than any soap opera written. Obviously it's a spoof of soap operas and is well written and acted. Sure the acting is over the top but it's a spoof. Sally Fields is great as a Susan Lucci character. Kevin Kline is really over the top. Look closely as Teri Hatcher plays one of her first roles as a bit nurse in the soap opera with one great line directed at Kevin Kline.

It reminds you of another great soap opera spoof, Tootsie which is also one of my favorites. That was more of a love story where this is written for pure laughs and is very successful.
