Rating: Summary: Hilarious Movie! Review: I've been a Kevin Smith fan from the begining, "Clerks", "MallRats", "Chasing Amy", "Dogma".... and now "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". The title of his latest flick really doesn't sound like any of his previous, and the laugh-out-loud style really doesn't compliment well with the others either, but when watching it, they all fit together so nicely. Every person who was in one of Smith's other movies now returns for at least one of their original parts(Affleck and Jason Lee play two). I loved how it comes together, and it's nonstop laughs from the get-go, whether it be crude, Jay and Silent Bob humor, or more orginal, creative laughs like Affleck's and Damon's self-satire(a personal favorite in the flick), you can't help but not laugh. "Chasing Amy" is my all-time favorite Smith film, but as far as laughs go, this is probably number one. .... And if you've seen any of the previews, you know that it's filled wall-to-wall with cameos starting with Mark Hamil and Carrie Fisher and ending with Jason Biggs and James Van Der Beek. Even though there's non-stop cameos, Smith makes it abundantly clear early on that the film is ALL Jason Mewes. Jay and Silent Bob have become huge , and have a tremendous following, which has brought them significantly bigger roles in each film(except Chasing Amy, which was all Silent Bob), and I couldn't think of a better way to see them go out with a Bang(with Morris Day and the Time). If your like me, you hate to know that the two will not be back for any more laughs, and crude jokes, and aren't happy about it... but your happy with the treatment Smith gives them. If your a Smith fan in the least, and have seen ANY of the previous films(my friend who watched "Chasing Amy" with me looked over in awe at me everytime a returning member from Chasing Amy came back, and she loved every moment of it), this is a required viewing. A big-budget film with a big-Smith heart, anybody who doesn't see this film is crazy. I loved this film a lot.

"Chasing Amy" is my all-time favorite Smith film, but as far as laughs go, this is probably number one. If you've read anything about the film by now, you know that it's been targeted by Gay Alliances around the world, but I didn't see why. There was a couple scenes that we're homo-phobic, but I've seen worse in other movies. And when they play out here, they're so damn funny, you know that they were done in good taster, and not made to hurt homosexuals. Of course me being heterosexual, I really don't know if it does hurt them, but I'm sure they've dealed with worse. And if you've seen any of the previews, you know that it's filled wall-to-wall with cameos starting with Mark Hamil and Carrie Fisher and ending with Jason Biggs and James Van Der Beek. Rating: Summary: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back Review: Hey! This movie is, by far, the funniest movie of the summer! It's about 2 stoners named Jay and Silent Bob who practically live outside a quikie mart. Once they get kicked out for selling [illegal substance], they go to their friends comic book store, and their friend tells him that they're making a movie out of Jay and Silent Bob, yet niether of them are getting any royalties for it! On top of that, they find out people are bad-mouthing them on the internet! So they have to hitch a ride to Hollywood to stop the movie. You can see the movie yourself to know about the rest of it. All I have to say is, this movie is the funniest movie of the summer!
Rating: Summary: JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK Review: JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK is the fifth and final installment of the 'New Jersey Chronicles.' Everybody's favorite potheads Jay and Silent Bob find out that a 'Bluntman & Chronic' movie based on there comic book counterparts is being made and they ain't getting any royalty checks (being paid) for it, so they set out on a road trip from New Jersey to Hollywood to stop the movie from being made. I'm a big fan of Jay and Silent Bob and of Kevin Smith movies in general so I knew that I would like this movie, no matter what everyone else said, and that's all that matters. I saw this movie the first day it came out and I (along with the audience in the theater) had a good time. Anybody who's a fan of Kevin Smith movies should just go ahead and check this one out! The movie also has a ton of cameos by movie stars like Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Shannon Elizabeth, George Carlin, Jason Lee, Sean William Scott, Jason Biggs, Chris Rock, plus many more!
Rating: Summary: BEST MOVIE OF THE SUMMER!!!!!! Review: I saw jay and Silent Bob on its opening day. I laughed so hard I almost cried. There are so many different jokes from his old movies that it is hard to keep up with the movie itself. I am probably going to go see it again sometime this weekend and I'll bet I'll laugh even harder. You have to go see this movie
Rating: Summary: Loved It!! Review: It's really quite simple....if you've watched and enjoyed Kevin Smith's films in the past..(Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma)...then you will like this. The more appreciation you have for his precious works the more the humor of this film will be amplified. For example, the sign over a store in the beginning of the film that reads, 'Brodie's Secret Stash,' is funnier if you know that Brodie was heavily into comics in Mallrats. It gets even funnier when you know that the sign is a play off of Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, a real store dedicated to View Askew movies. (BTW: It's at 35 Broad Street, Red Bank, New Jersey) More than likely, the average View Askew fan has already seen it. If your View Askew cherry has yet to be popped, still go on and check it out. There's enough dick and fart jokes to keep anyone amused'just know that until you get your VA satisfaction, you'll only be getting a quarter of what Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back contains.
Rating: Summary: Its great! Review: Very funny, hard-core humor. No realy storyline, just lots of great one-liners and inside jokes.
Rating: Summary: Way to go Lunch Box! Review: I hate long reviews, so here it is short and sweet. If you are a fan of Jay and Silent Bob, then this movie is for you. You will not be disappointed! If you are not familiar with Jay and Silent Bob (Clerks, Mall Rats, Dogma, etc..) then this is a fantastic movie to experience them for the first time. Like a fat woman in spandex, this movie is crammed full of crude humor, bad language, and cameo appearances by more stars than I could possibly list here. This movie is as unpretentious as a Mickey's Big Mouth Beer and is a joy to watch. So, if you are in the mood for lewd and don't take yourself too seriously, this is the movie for you. I for one, will see it again.
Rating: Summary: The Funniest Kevin Smith Flick To Date Review: I was lucky enough to catch the sneak preview of this movie and was pleasantly suprised to find out that this movie is absolutely hilarious. I'm a huge fan of Smith's work and I think this is is his funniest movie so far. Jay and Silent Bob are front and center, and the TON of cameos in the movie really are great. If you're looking for a movie to really make you laugh, this one is it. I'm going to see it again!
Rating: Summary: Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow Review: I've always heard that if you look beneath the grimy setup you'll see the beautiful interior. Well that saying is not dissimilar to the horrors of the summer movie season 2001! Some of the most anticipated flicks of the summer are huge dissappointments (ie. Scary Movie 2) and some of the best moves, the general audience are too ignorant to set foot in (ie Hedwig and the Angry Inch). Well thank god we can still depend on the rapier wit of Kevin Smith. the King of Curse Words and verbal fluency. Has given us the most entertaining installment in the View Askewniverse. Well I know it ain't saying much but "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is the funniest film of the summer!!This film has all the things that make a screwball comedy perfect. Wacky Characters, Funny jokes both verbal and physical, Good storyline, great comic timing, and of course, a monkey. Many people were afraid that Jay and Silent Bob would be unable to handle a movie on their own. Well not only did they succeed they went through the roof!!! Kevin Smith kept the jokes piled, one on top of the other and each one different and original. Though I loathe bodily function jokes, Smith managed to make them appropriate and not over use them, unlike the comically declined Wayans Brothers, who seem to think making the characters fart is like printing money. Smith on ther other hand keeps you on your toes awaiting what's gonna happen next. "Is Jay Gonna Do What I think He's Gonna Do?" "If Silent Bob Speaks What will he say?" Questions like that were popping in my brain because of the aggressive spontaneity of the comedy. But another thing I loved was all our old friends from the View Askewniverse (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and one omnipotent female from Dogma.) Dante, Randal, Brodie, Holden, Banky, and even Willam the idiot Man-child. All performed once again be the same View Askew alumni and all played to perfection. And to go with them there's also stellar performances by many new faces, like Shannen Elizabeth as Jay's love-intrest Justice and also Eliza Dushku, Ali Larter, and Jen Schwalbach (Mrs. Kevin Smith) as the evil villainesses. And including great cameos by George Carlin, Marc Blucas, Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek And God knows how many more. (She does know) I think Every self respecting View askew fan Is required by cinematic Law to get up off their butts and see this flick. And all those poor schmucks who think The Wayans Brothers actually care about originality, NEED to watch this movie or I'll Beat the ever lovin' tar outta them. Now I can say there were 5 good movies this summer instead of 4. And Oh Yeah, To Jay and Silent Bob: Snooch to the Nooch and Good Bye My friends
