Summary: Dogma Rules!
Review: Kevin Smith is right on track with this hilarious comedy. Ben Affleck and Matt Damond star as two renegade angels trying to get back into heaven. Linda Fiorentino is the person chosen to stp the angels. Alan Rickman is an angel helping Linda, Chris Rock is the 13th apostle left out the bible, tagging along are Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as Jay and Silent Bob. Jason Lee is Azrael, a demond helping Ben and Matt. This movie rocks, buy it.

Summary: Kevin Smith does it again
Review: What a wonderful movie that takes a satirical look at the rules of catholisism. The surprisingly successful low budget movie has a great cast and a very good plot. One of the best things about it was the twists in the plots, everytime you expect one result there is a new twist in the story. I absolutly loved the movie as did almost everyone I talked to.

Summary: Kevin Smith's Best Work
Review: This is Kevin Smith's Best work to date, the whole cast was awesome, Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith), especially, they have great comedic chemistry and timing, and the song "Still" by Alanis Morissette is her best song, I cannot wait for Clerks 2! Keep up the good work Kevin!

Summary: What was this guy watching?
Review: C'mon! Kevin Smith is the best new director on the scene! (Well '95 new) Conversations that last 10 minutes? For those of you without A.D.D. buy this movie. If you liked Clerks or MALLRATS you'll love this... especially if you're "not of the faith."

Summary: First of all...I hated it.
Review: First of all...I hated it. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon truly bombed in making this film. You may have heard that many Catholics are outraged at this film...no wonder...it is a rotten film. It's boring, it's stupid, and it has no redeeming qualities. Forget the whole religious offensiveness bit, this movie simply stinks. Bottom line....the title should have been "Ernest Gets Kicked Out of Heaven and Then Trys To Sneak Back In."

Summary: DOGMA is a facinating story that will make you think.
Review: For those of you familiar with the other films in the "Jersey Trilogy", this film is exactly what you would expect from Smith when tackling a subject as involved as the Bible. In-depth storytelling, facinating characters (including Linda Fiorentino as the morally confused descendant of Christ), and a large amount of dialogue. Smith has never been afraid to tell a story through the words of his characters. DOGMA is no different. If you aren't afraid of a movie that will make you think about your own beliefs on the Almighty, I highly suggest picking up DOGMA.

Summary: This Movie Rocked!
Review: Dogma was one of my favorite movies of all time! The cast was great, the lines were great, and it trashed religion in a funny way. Chris Rock, and Jay and Silent Bob were the best. Great movie I recommend it for all!

Summary: Excellent Film
Review: Dogma is an excellent blend of comedy, and religious satire. From director/writer/star Kevin Smith, Dogma is a religious comedy for the non-religious. It stars Linda Fiorentino as Bethany, the last descendant of Christ, who is called upon to save the world from Bartleby and Loki, two fallen angels trying to return to heaven, played by pals Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. It is the supporting cast that makes this film so hilarious. The cast includes Selma Hayek, Kevin Smith, Jason Lee, Chris Rock, Alan Rickman and Alanis. It is the most original and provocative film done by Kevin Smith, since his low-budget pic Clerks. It is a film which embraces religion while poking fun at it in the classic Kevin Smith style. I highly recommend this film to everyone.

Summary: Great fun
Review: I am a very religious person but I don`t see anything wrong with this movie. It is a great movie. Matt and Ben are wonderful actors and the plot is very funny. So enjoy the movie and stop thinking about the Angels/religious thing. Just see the movie for what it is: Great fun!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Overly Talky But Still Great Fun
Review: Kevin Smith's "Dogma" is an insane blend of comedy, action, religion, discussion, toilet humor, etc. . . It's hard to peg this movie. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are both very good as the renegade angels. The supporting cast is very good also. The only thing wrong with this movie is simply the over-abundance of dialogue. Most of the time, Kevin Smith is right on target with hysterical dialogue that is both funny and insightful but sometimes it feels like his fingers went crazy on the word processor and he let a character blab on too long. Some of the serious dialogue will drive you batty at it's inane lengths. Conversations sometimes last up to ten minutes! Still, though. This movie is highly entertaining and probably Smith's best film to date. I'd rent it before purchasing it.
