Summary: Classic Doris Day up-beat amusement.
Review: "Lover Come Back" follows in the footsteps of "Pillow Talk," and uses a similar plot-line. This movie is very enjoyable and contains some classic scenes and lines. Wonderful for Doris Day/Rock Hudson fans, or simply for its comedic value.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best of the Three
Review: As much as I LOVE "Pillow Talk" and enjoy "Send Me No Flowers," this is my favorite, and I think the best, of the three Doris Day-Rock Hudson films. The humor is sharper and bolder, and the pay-off punch lines even better ("And I'm taking you in," Rock ironically tells Doris as he plots to reel her in.) Tony Randall is an even funnier foil here as the ineffectual boss than he was as the "best friend" in the other two films. As always the the sets as lush, the costumes stylish, and the color is lavish. What a treat even 37 years after its release to watch this old-fashioned sex comedy! As they say, "they just don't make'em like this anymore!" More's the pity.

Review: Carol Templeton (Doris Day) is a advertising agent whose company keeps on loosing money to Ramsey and Son Owned by The young Peter Ramsey (Tony Randall) but his worker Jerry Webster (Rock Hudson)is always stealing campaigns and then when He steels the Miller Wax campaign from right under their nose! This movie is full of a lot of surprises and is considered one of the best of the 3 Rock and Doris Comedies! If you havn't seen this movie yet I highly suggest to you that you watch it I can guarantee you that you will certainly enjoy it a lot!

Summary: Doris in her trademark pairing
Review: Doris and Rock star in their 2nd film with LOVER COME BACK, a funny romantic comedy set in the world of advertising on Madison Avenue.

Day plays Carol Templeton who is more than a little peeved when she is losing clents to the suave, smooth talking agent across the street (Rock Hudson).

He then catches on and masquerades as a professor who needs an agency to invent a campaign for his new product VIP.

The mystery product is on everybody's lips, but what exactly is it?

The laughs fly good and thick in this great movie that also stars Edie Adams.

Summary: They don't make 'em like this anymore!
Review: Funny, charming, romantic, is what I have to say about this film. "Doris Day" was a smash. "Rock Hudson" was suave and debonair, he played his roll very well. And what a handsome gent he was. "Tony Randall" was a hoot. He was the funniest of them all. Mr. Webster played by: "Rock Hudson" makes up a phoney Idea called, VIP; to throw "Doris Day" off his track in a business deal. He creates a commercial with a show girl, and calls her the VIP girl. "Doris Day" finds out that the product VIP wasn't a real business deal, and demands that Mr. Webster prove his product exists or face the court for false advertisement. A very funny romantic comedy. I recommand it for the whole family to watch.

Summary: Movie Fans Rejoice!
Review: I adore this movie! I love the chemistry between Rock Hudson and Doris Day. It has wonderful comedic moments and I love the two old men that always seem to have a comment when Rock Hudson walks by. It is too bad that Hollywood does not make movies like this anymore. If you are an old-movie fan (like I am) then you will love this movie.

Summary: Boy, have things changed!
Review: I found this video in the stores recently. Now, mind you, I have already seen this movie when it was in the theaters. Then it seemed like a light hearted romp. By today's standards, it is virtually archaic in the acting and the script. Still, it is DEFINITELY a PG film.

Summary: A Pretty Good Movie!
Review: I Like Doris Day and Rock Hudson and while my favorite of their movies is Pillow Talk I also liked Lover Come Back and think it's a very good movie. Doris and Rock play rival Madison Avenue ad executives and she is bothered by his sneaky tactics. This is a cute romantic comedy and I highly recommend it. I used to have the video but the tape was defective and since it is coming out on DVD in April I'm going to buy it but it is also coming out in a box set that includes Pillow Talk and Send Me No Flowers and a CD that has several songs that Doris sang in the movies and the price for the box set is pretty good and I definitely would consider it.

Summary: I love Doris Day and Rock Hudson working together!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I loved the other two movies that Doris Day worked together with Rock Hudson and Tony Randall( Pillow Talk and Send me no flowers)and it wasn't different with this one .

Summary: The Best of Day and Hudson
Review: I think that Lover Come Back is the best of the Doris Day/Rock Hudson romantic comedies. The humour is sharper and more adult, and all the actors nail their characters down perfectly. Day and Hudson are rival advertising executives, with Day using the by-the-book approach, and Hudson wining, dining, and providing female companionship to lure and sign clients. Through the kind of mixups you expect from one of their movies, Day comes to believe that Hudson is a client, and then things become complicated. Tony Randall plays Hudson's boss, an insecure man that wants to protect himself above anything else, but who ends up paying the price over and over for Hudson's antics and schemes. The dialogue has a lot of funny lines and innuendos, and the three leads play it with relish. The supporting cast of Edie Adams, Ann B. Davis, and others, all add to the fun. Director Delbert Mann has a sure touch and keeps the film moving along briskly, and even though you can pretty much guess the conclusion, it's a lot of fun getting there.
