Summary: ok
Review: This is a funny movie. And it is somewhat of a romantic comedy. If you like the movie pretty womman then you will like this movie.

Summary: Runaway Bride
Review: My wife and I sent the kids to bed early and curled up in front of the fireplace to watch this one, ready for some magic. Unfortunately, we found the action and dialog forced, painfully so at times. Gere and Roberts gave it their all, but in the end this film was difficult to sit through to the predictable finish. Pick up Notting Hill instead.

Summary: Sweet, Romantic & a Breath of Fresh Air!
Review: For those people who disliked this film so vehemently, I suggest you read a plot summary/review of the next film you rent/buy so you have some idea of what you will be watching! How could you NOT know that this was a romantic comedy with a "predictible" ending before you watched it? And if you didn't like either Roberts or Gere, why did you rent it in the first place? Unlike most romantic comedies that start brightly and fade quickly, "Bride" delivers from beginning to end. Well-edited, it is light-hearted, sweet and oh-so-funny! The comment made by Hector Elanzo about the Fed-Ex truck gave me the healthiest belly-laugh I've had in ages! And there are more like that! Humor is personal, but this is just darn cute! The chemistry between Roberts and Gere is real! They are beautiful together, AND as has been mentioned before, without swearing up a storm and rolling naked in the sheets! And you STILL know they love each other! That's romance! We need more of that! As for the predictability, we go to the movies to have our emotions manipulated and to be entertained! If you're going for another reason, save your money! The supporting cast is excellent - Rita Wilson, Hector Elanzo, Joan Cusak and a host of other small but necessary bits of brightness in an already starry look at the bittersweet but inevitable search for love ! As one of Julia's fiancees says, "There's a lid for every pot!" Watching this optimistic rollercoaster ride gives hope to all of us who believe that it CAN happen! And even if it doesn't, you'll have a smile on your face for 2 hours. AND there is actually some substance to this story - real messages about how men and women should feel about themselves BEFORE they can say they really love someone else! The ending? Anyone who would want it any other way needs to have his or her head examined! Oh, one more thing - you can even watch this movie with children in the room! They won't understand everything! But there is absolutely nothing offensive! I'm a teacher - you can trust me on that! "Runaway Bride" is a small joy in an otherwise cynical world!

Summary: What Fun! What a Kick!
Review: What a fun entertaining movie. Keeps up a good pace, no bad language, a good clean movie. The end predictable? Is that all you can say, it was beautiful, perfect, very touching and romantic. You know I think sometimes when we review or critics when they critisize a movie try to much to pick it apart and miss out on a lot of the fun. Julia Roberts is so fun and beautiful. Gere is dynamic, charming and sexy as ever. I would say it's worth buying. Great movie, well done.

Summary: Not a guy movie but...
Review: I have to start off by saying I don't like Julia Roberts or Richard Gere. I had no intention of seeing this but my girlfriend wanted to. To my amazement, I didn't hate it. It's definitely a "chick-flick" but Gere's character made the movie entertaining. Maybe three stars is a bit generous for this movie but it's one of those where the woman will be happy and the guy, well, entertained.

Summary: Runaway Smash Hit!
Review: Brilliant work from Julia Roberts and Richard Gear. It's about time you guys got together again to film this movie. The movie flows very well from one scene to the next. The scenes are hilarious. It's not very often you get a movie with good clean fun anymore. I highly recommend you watch this movie to the very end!

Summary: Average Romantic-Comedy, Nothing new.
Review: This movie is only kept afloat by it's two stars. If you like Julia Roberts and Romantic-Comedys I recommend you see 'Pretty Woman' or 'Notting Hill', both much better films. It goes on a little long, rent it first.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: As a huge fan of the Roberts and Gere team, I have to say I was highly disappointed in the outcome of this movie. Original? Yes. Interesting and funny? No. Just because a movie is original, doesn't mean it's good. Although we all knew the happy ending was forthcoming, the storyline to getting there was pure boredom. Then again, it's hard to make an engaging (pardon the pun) movie with such a ridiculous story line. Pretty Woman was a far far better flick, you can't even compare the two. Then again, this is just my own personal opinion, after all, everyone is entitled to their own. Go ahead and see it if you're curious. I hope you enjoy it more than I did. Thanks for reading my review.
