Rating: Summary: One of the best romance/comedy I've seen in a LONG time. Review: This is a clean movie. Of course there might be some language, but it was totally VOID of any bedroom scenes, or long-petting scenes. This is the movie I wouldn't be embarrassed to watch with my little sister. But don't think that's bad for the plot, because it made it even better I think. It was clean, funny, and sweet. That combination is hard to find in the modern movies these days. The actors did a good job, the music was good, and the story was cool. What could get better! Anyway, this is a fun movie, and I hope you enjoy it! By the way, the people who said this movie stank....well, they can't see strait. ENJOY!
Rating: Summary: Shandy's review for On The Line Review: I loved this movie! I can't wait until I have my own personal copy and I have already rented it twice it is the neatest movie and Lance does a great job so if you are an Nsync fan and like great movies you should definately buy this one.
Rating: Summary: On the Line is a good movie, give it a chance! Review: I love On the Line!! It is such a sweet romantic comedy. Now I have to be honest and say that when I went to see the movie I had to reasons: 1)I love romantic comedies and this one sounded great 2) whether it sounded good or not I was going to go and show my support as an *NSYNC fan. However, after I saw it I realized that this was a great movie and I would eventually buy it~not because it has Lance and Joey but because I loved the movie. It is such a simple, yet beautiful love story and I think that Americans need a movie like that, especially now. I own On the Line now and have watched it at least a dozen times ( if not more ) and it gets to me every time. I just get the chills. I love the idea of putting your heart On the Line to find that one special person; the one person who is meant to be the love of your life and that is just what this movie does. As far as the acting goes, I think everyone was perfect in the roles they played. Lance was great as the shy, sweet-heart Kevin Gibbons. I don't understand how people could say Lance did a bad acting job when that character was so similar to his own personality!Joey did a really good job as Rod and made him such a funny character. Emmanuelle Chiriqui was excellent in the role Abbey, she is such a sweet girl. I think that the entire cast did fabulously. Here are a few interesting things that you most likely don't know about On the Line. On the Line was awarded The Golden Halo Award for Best Family Film by the Southern California Motion Picture Council. Lance was awarded the Golden Apple Award for Male Discovery of the Year! Please watch On the Line for yourselves! Don't trust the negative reviews! Any normal person with emotions will love this love story. It is a good, wholesome, family movie with a good message! Please watch On the Line and find that out! You don't know what you'll be missing if you don't!
Rating: Summary: A sweet storyline... Review: I happen to like Nsync (and no I'm not a teenybopper!) but was still a little skeptical when I heard that Lance and Joey were going to co-star in a film together. Making the leap from success in one entertainment arena to success in another, especially feature films, can be excruciatingly difficult. If you don't believe me, just think of all the television stars, actors to begin with, who have crashed and burned on the big screen. Still, after hearing the premise, I was hopeful for "On The Line", with it's sweet, uncomplicated storyline of a young man struggling to find his confidence, and love, in the big city.I wasn't in the least disapointed in this film. Okay, so it's no "Gone With The Wind", and there's the problem of that awful dubbing near the end (I really wish they'd done something different with that) but it's a nice, feel good romantic comedy, and offers a great escape from the insanity of the real world. Lance Bass turned in a fine performance as Kevin, very respectable for a first lead, and Joey was perfect in his portrayal of somewhat goofy best friend Rod. The unexpected cameos by Al Green, Richie Sambora, and women's wrestler Chynna were inspired! All in all, this is a sweet, easy to watch little film that doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a must have in your collection if you enjoy a light, fun, romantic comedy where in the end the boy really does get the girl.
Rating: Summary: Not a bad little movie Review: Yes, it's not Oscar material, nor is it the worst movie in the world. What it is is a charming boy meets girl, loses girl, then finds her again movie. I'm a 39-year old *NSYNC and Lance Bass fan. I'm being honest when I say that it didn't suck, but it didn't bowl me over either. Despite it's lousy box office take, I think both Lance and Joey Fatone will continue, and should continue, to work on their acting skills. I think, given plenty of time, Lance could be a great romantic leading man. He went into this project saying he wasn't an actor, and while he wasn't awful, he has long way to go. Joey does an adequate job in his role. Keep it up guys; you'll hit the mark at some point, if you really want to. :)
Rating: Summary: Lance and Joey [no way]! Review: Please someone help me, [...]!! Why did joey and lance even bother!! They cannot act worth beans!! I can't believe I even wanted to see it. If yo0u want to see this terrible movie FORGET about it!!
Rating: Summary: "You Can't Say That!" "Well I Said It!" Review: This movie is bad. Really, really, really bad. My teenage sister and I rented this when we had a terrible flu, and the only reason we finished watching it was because we were both literally too sick to get up and switch it off. The acting is bad, the script is bad, the casting is bad, the premise is bad, and the photography is stupifyingly awful. It should be understood that both my sister and myself are mild fans of N'SYNC; we own the albums and my sis has seen them live (whatever their faults, the members of N'SYNC are electrifying performers, and worth seeing in concert even for non-fans for the sheer energy they bring to the stage). That is why this movie is all the more offensive; the fans deservce better than this sloppy and lazy production. The plot, such as there is, concerns the trials and tribulations of a young man, played by Lance Bass, as he attempts to locate the dream girl he met on the subway and instantly fell for. This is where we run into our first problem: Bass. He is the LEAST charasmatic member of the group, why is he the one starring in his own movie? At the end of the film , fellow bandmates Justin Timberlake and Chris Kirpatrick make an appearance in a ... "behind the scenes look" ; this two minute segment is far funnier than anything in the movie ("I got three words for you: Dee-Knee-RO!") and demonstrates that Timberlake should be the one with his own movie. Bass actually formed his own production company to produce this film, and after its abysmal box-office take he would be well advised to stick to outerspace. And as regards the "performance" of Joey Fatone, well, my Mom always said if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. I'll say it anyway: He is bad. BAD. All in all, a dull, uninteresting film that should be avoided by anyone who is not 100% devoted to all things 'Sync. A person still capable of objectivity will be bored, annoyed and probably a little insulted by this movie.
Rating: Summary: A nice romantic comedy Review: I really enjoyed this film. I was really surprised and enjoyed the acting ability of Lance Bass. This is a film not only for NSYNC fans, but truly for adults who love romantic comedies. I must have watched it 3 times since I got it and I have clapped and cheered at the end every time. With the things going on in the world today, it's nice to see a film that can light one up for a 90 or so minutes. I would recommend this film to anyone.
Rating: Summary: A must for a real Lance Fan Review: Ok, so the acting is so so and the plot is predictable. But don't we all need a no brainer movie with a hunky pop star to let us escape the real world for awhile, of course we do. Plus Lance is shirtless in like the first five minutes.....come on what is better than that!
