Review: Ok, so like most *NSYNC fans, I went to see my favorite *NSYNCer in his first starring role. At first, I was take by how Lance got to sing, by himself for once, and then realized why this was his first and only time to do so. Ok, so whatever, he's not the worlds greatest singer, big deal... but then, his acting was a little on the weak side, I wanted to say, oh honey you can try harder than that can't you? However, he must have heard my pleading because once the film picked up speed, he got better, much better at this whole acting thing. The film was a bit weak, which I blame not on the script, but on the people trying to make money off the younger viewers. They had cut out some vital parts, and made the key characters sound like they were stuck in a room with their parents (ie: We really messed Kevin over) while his lips are saying something totally different. If the script is an "R" script, keep it that way, if you want younger viewers, then find a script that targets a younger fan base. Well, all faults aside, Joey was delightful as sidekick Rod, and Lance was charming as Kevin. I just hope that they will release an uncensored verison on DVD.

Summary: Bad plot, so-so acting
Review: "On The Line" turns out to be another neer-do-well romantic comedy, such as Sarah Michelle Gellar's nauseating performance in "Simply Irresistable" and the basic brainless fluff that "Serendipity" basically was.

I'll give the movie credit for some things. One, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass (from the Grammy-nominted 'N Sync band) can act reasonably well. Second is the fluffernutter happy ending that usualy accompanies such films as these. But the plot suffers from major cliches and is just a basic recycling of the long line of romantic comedies before it.

An Chicago ad salesman (Bass) is shy around girls and don't know how to meet them, along with his brainless friend (Fatone). Then, he meets Miss Right, and the usual chaos happens.

"On The Line" isn't that bad because Bass and Fatone can act well, for the major part of the film. But, it's predictable, brainless, and just plain corny. If "On The Line" had an original plot, it would have fared better.

But it didn't. Too bad.

Review: The number of reviews on Amazon, for this movie, is about the exact number of people who have actually seen it. I sadly went to see it. I was about the only person in the theater and that was opening day! This movie is a huge bomb. Nobody wants to see it. I don't know anybody who has seen it. I don't even know anybody that knows this movie exists. I don't know what gave Lance and Joey the idea they had any acting abilities. I guess they figure their popularity with N'sync is enough to draw in their fans and they don't need any talent. Don't quit your day job guys.

Summary: Everyone you need to get On the Line.......
Review: If you enjoy movies like While You Were Sleeping and Sleepless in Seattle then you will you enjoy this movie. The script from this movie is both hilarious but not so much in a corny kind of way and it is also romantic. The story is about a guy named Kevin (Lance Bass) who is the type of guy who has made so many mistakes in his life, he always is the guy who screws up and after screwing up the chance back in high school to tell his dream girl that he liked her and never thinking he was gonna find another girl again he meets the true girl of his dreams Abby (Emmanuelle Chriqui) on the Chicago L train. Instantly they click and when him and his dream girl say goodbye he forgets two things: her name and number. Desperate to find her he searches the city determined to find her and with the help of his rock singer friend Rod (Joey Fatone) and his other friends in the end Kevin finds Abby. This is a beautiful movie and their are great cameos by the wrestler Chyna, Richie Sambora as the Mick who is a rock singer in the movie(big surprise) and Dave Foley as Lances boss at the advertising agency who plays an irritating yet funny health freak. Of course there is Jerry Stiller who plays the mail guy at Kevin's agency who is so hilarious and brilliant just like he is in all of his movie and tv roles. The songs are great in this movie by artists such as Vitamin C, Meredith Edwards and an amazing solo performance in the movie by Joey, it is a beautiful ballad and Joey really shines on this song and proves that Jc and Justin aren't the only guys of Nsync who can sing. Also look out for other cameos such as Ananda Lewis and one of the girls from Blaque. Even if you don't like Nsync you should still go and see it, there is romance, comedy, great music, something for everyone.

Summary: Great movie, I highly recommend...
Review: This movie was not only a sweet romantic film, but the comedy made me laugh really hard. NSYNC fan or not, this movie was great and anyone can enjoy this. It shows what other talents Lance and Joey have besides music. The other actors, like Emmanuelle Chriqui, Dave Foley, and GQ added to the great acting. One of my favorite parts was Joey's "sugar dance song" (you'll know when you see it) and of course the end was probably the funniest. Also, the soundtrack is great. I highly recommend that you see this movie. Maybe a few parts could have been a little better, but otherwise I wouldn't change it at all. I like it the way it is. Hope you take my advice and see it soon.

Review: An out and out love story that was as sweet as can be. Lance Bass is great. It just goes to show that singers can act.

Summary: More movies like this...
Review: That's what there should be. I don't mean there should be more movies with the exact same plot and premise. What I mean is that there should be more feel good movies out there. The intent of this film is too make you feel happier when you leave than when you came in. At that it succeeds.
While Bass' character Kevin is by far a stretch of his *NSYNC persona, you can tell that he has talent. He has presence on-screen and is quite charming. Normally a character such as Kevin can be somewhat of an annoyance to the audience. However Bass manages to get everyone rooting for the under dog, rather than frustrated.
Emmanuelle Chriqui plays Kevins love interest, Abbey. Her performance as the girl who brings a little bit of sunshine into Kevins life is excellent. The chemistry between Chriqui and Bass is evident and makes the movie that much better. Their characters compliment each other beautifully.
It seems to me that the part of Rod, Kevins best friend, played by Joey Fatone was written for him. I can't imagine anyone else playing that role except him. The character of Rod is clearly for comic relief purposes. Fatone and Bass' roles play-off one another very well.
Lets face it folks. If you're looking for Oscar material, this movie isn't for you. The dialogue can be cheesy and some of it is even badly written. However the actors work with it and pull it off nicely. If you're looking for a movie that's a lot of fun then this is it.
Don't count this movie out because two members of *NSYNC are in it. It's a movie for everyone, not just *NSYNC fans. Whether people want to admit it or not, they are capable of acting. Give it a chance, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: another pop star makes his movie debut
Review: Why Lance Bass was chosen for the lead in ON THE LINE is simple. His production company made the movie. Okay, maybe I'm not being fair...of the 'NSYNC bunch, he is the one most would ignore. But at least, we did not have to deal with Justin or J.C.
Bass plays Kevin, an ad executive trying to make it in the world when he runs into a pretty girl. They talk, but fail to get each other's names or phone numbers. Enter the chaos when his friends try to help find the girl.
The movie is good but goes too far sometimes. Bass can act...but please keep Justin Timberlake and that Chris guy out of the film next time. Joey Fatone was okay...at his best when he sang solo. Poor J.C. missed out on the fun.

Summary: Phenomenal!
Review: This is such a heart-warming tale about a loser who just wants to be accepted and loved and about how he wins in the end! It tells audiences no matter who you are, there's always hope! I think everyone should go see it!
