Summary: An imposter who finds love despite her deceit!
Review: Shirley MacLaine makes the perfect supposed mother-in-law and is the original Mrs. Winterbourne. Her son and daughter-in-law meet up with a very pregnant Connie on a train and soon after Connie tries on Hugh's wife's wedding ring, the train crashes.

Since Connie (Ricki Lake) is the one wearing the ring, everyone assumes she is the wife. Every time she tries to explain, she holds back the truth. The idea of being taken care of by this wealthy family intrigues her. Hugh's mother is such a doting grandmother and Connie isn't sure how she can tell them that she and the baby are really imposters.

Connie's history could destroy the very proper Winterbourne family. Her ex-boyfriend Steve knows he has a son and plots to blackmail her.

Brendan Frasier is so dashingly handsome in this one! Although he has the ability to span the acting scale, I think he is best in this role. He plays both Hugh and Hugh's brother. I enjoyed the plot, contrasts, and romance. Destiny waits for Connie just as her mother said it would, she just never imagines it could happen under such strange circumstances.

A fun movie that moves along at a pleasant pace. It seems Tony Robbins is right: "The future will be exactly what we decide it will be." Well, at least that is what he says at the beginning of this movie.

Summary: Loved it ...wish it'd come out on DVD format....
Review: Suspend disbelief... this is a fantasy, not unlike the roles Ricki Lake played before in all those John Waters movies....White trash in a genteel environment! For some reason this is quite similar to 'While you were Sleeping' However one feels more for Ricki Lakes's Connie because she's plain and what has to shine through here is her moral character(of course in a fantasy context)I can't help feeling empathy for her...Definitely a movie to keep!It just slowly draws you in I can't recommend it highly enough!!

Summary: This movie is incredably romantic
Review: The cast of this movie amaze you every moment. The movie is delightful for the whole family. And Brendan Frasier plays two of the most intreging characters I've ever seen. Ricki Lake is good in this film, but Frasier and MacLaine make the movie a hit!! END

Summary: WHAT are you people THINKING?!
Review: This has got to be the WORST movie I've ever seen! Stupid, stupid storyline! TERibble acting! BADly Scripted! How Ricky Lake EVER got her own TALK-SHOW, I'll never know! I am SHOCKED and APPUALED by the good reviews people have been giving this!

Summary: A must for Brendan Fraser fans...
Review: This is a delightful film, definitely one I turn to when I need a bit of cheering up. Brendan Fraser gives an excellent performance - all too briefly as Hugh, and then later as Hugh's twin brother Bill. The tango scene alone makes this movie worth buying for any Fraser fan.

Summary: Ricki Lake, Brendan Fraser, Shirley McLane
Review: This is an absolute amazing movie. Brendan Fraser is so hot and Ricki Lake playes exetremely well. The chemestry between the two is great. The kissing part is wonderful. The story is hard to imagine, but the ending is great... If you like Ricki Lake and Brendan Fraser this movie you will LOVE!!

Summary: WHERE'S THE DVD?!?!?!?!?
Review: This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Shirley MacLaine rules as the non-traditional matron. Ricki Lake does a fine job and Brendan Frasier is outstanding. Yes, more time could have been given to developing the relationship between Connie and Bill, but there's enough to get the point. Paco is AWESOME! His humorous drunken-binge scene makes it all worthwile.

The "powers that be" need to get off their butts and get this on DVD. Don't understand why it's not when I see all the crap they've already migrated!

I WANT MY DVD...

Summary: Delightful
Review: This is one of my all-time favourite movies. It is silly, romantic, cute and just fun to watch. Shirley McLaine was fantastic, as was Brendan Fraser. This is definitely one of those films when on a rainy day you can just forget about your problems, you can sit down and enjoy. It reminds us about the power of fate, family and friendship.

Summary: A nice movie!
Review: This is one of my favorite romantic comedies not only did I like Shirley MacLaine as the feisty Grace Winterbourne but I also liked the opposites like each other love story of Connie and Hugh and I thought that Brendan Fraiser and Ricki Lake had some great chemisty together, also maybe it's just me but I assumed that Connie was only 18 in the beginning of the movie when she met creepy Steve and was with him a few years before she got pregnant and he dumped her. (you know one of those things not exactly shown in a movie but is kind of implied). Despite the unpleasantness of the Steve scenes I thought this was a charming romantic comedy!
