Summary: It spoke to me.
Review: I can't explain it completely...but this movie hit me in my most romantic place. Amazing. Maybe it was the day I saw it, but it was EXACTLY what any love-struck woman (or man) of great inner strength needs. What a boost! The movie was probably better than the display of the actors' talents in it, but hey, you can't have everything.

Summary: A modern down to earth Fairy tale
Review: I really liked this movie despite some negative reviews I read recenty about it. Yes, MAYBE the characters were not fully develloped, and MAYBE the actors were not used to their optimum...But you have to love the way in which this movie takes you to a far away, and Yet existing land of dreams. The actors transmitted the message of the movie in such an amazing simple and direct way. Ione skye was (in my opinion) superb and her character (plus her great looks) was very attractive.Even though Aniston's part was not a big one, but it sure was her best so far (excluding the series friends of course). It's a movie about dreams and hopes. It's a movie about love and friendship. And most importantly, its great to finally see a movie where the actors make the actions instead of 3D computerised special effects.Original and Great, Dream for an Insomniac is in my opinion A Must See!!!

Summary: looking for a good quote
Review: This is the movie for people who live in imaginary worlds and are looking for just the right quote to make it all come together. It's the perfect imperfect movie.

Summary: I loved this movie!
Review: Wow, I loved this movie! Disregard everything the above review says. The characters were well-developed, enjoyable, and witty; the plot, though by no means original, was highly entertaining and passionate; and the scenery was gorgeous. De Bartolo has made an excellent film that will satisfy the romantic in anyone.

Summary: An uplifting romantic comedy with intelligence!
Review: I was impressed with this film and the chemistry between the two main stars. I think this film rates among my all-time favorites and I am so glad that I went out on a limb and rented it...otherwise, I would have missed a feel good movie with a very perceptive character in the lead. I think the banter and challenge between friends was amusing and heartwarming. Five stars all the way!

Summary: Smart chick knows what she wants & won't settle for less.
Review: I loved this movie. It was about how Frankie knew exactly what she wanted in life, and how she wouldn't settle for anything less. Her friends sympathasized but still wanted her to be happy. It was a great down to earth, unflashy movie. Definately a great flick unrealized.

Summary: great movie for hopeless romantics
Review: Great movie, especially for fans of Ione Skye in "Say Anything."

Summary: Great for all you hopless romantics!
Review: Unfortunately, I have read numerous terrible reviews of this movie but, I have to disagree with them. I understand that this movie lacks in many aspects when comparing it to the "big budget" movies of the day and that the "movie reviewers" have an obligation to trash movies that aren't complex both technically and script wise. I feel in love with this movie and since first watching it 6 months ago, I have showed it to over 20 people...all who have fallen in love with "Dream for an Insomniac". The movie is perfect for all of you hopeless romantics who are wishing upon that star for your soulmate to enter your life and "make everything wonderful". Who cares if it isn't realistic!!! Sometimes we all need a little magic in our lives...that's where movies come in.

Summary: A Philosopher's Dream
Review: "Dream for an Insomniac" is an incredible movie that I truly didn't think I would enjoy. When I first saw it, I thought it was going nowhere, but it turned out to be one of my favorite movies ever (second only to "Gone With the Wind.")

I know a lot of people think this movie in unrealistic and fails where other Gen X movies succeeded. My note to them is that this movie isn't a typical Hollywood romantic comedy, which is why it was done independently. You have to acknowledge and respect Tiffani DeBartolo (writer and director) for her wonderful sense of language. I realize some people do not talk like Frankie, David, Allison, Roberto, and Juice, but that is not the point. Enjoy this movie for the lessons in life and love it has to offer. There are so many lines from this movie that have become my mottos.

"Anything less than mad, passionate, extraordinary love is a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life to deal with and love shouldn't be one of them."

"I either get what I want or I change my mind."

Please just give this movie a chance. I know not everyone will like it, but don't knock it until you see it.

Summary: Enchanting
Review: This movie is for all the romantics out there. I couldn't have picked a cuter movie if I wanted to. Ione Skye, Jennifer Anniston, and Mackenzie Astin are absolutely fabulous. The writing, the creativity and the chemistry is amazing. I can't say enough good things about this film. I fell in love with it and finally found it to buy and jumped at the chance. To this day I still watch it over and over. The characters are smart, witty, and charming. If you are into romantic comedies this one is for you.
