Summary: It's so "Money"
Review: You gotta love Vince Vaugh. He's so "money", as his character repeats positively about anything that catches his fancy. The story is simple enough: Vince's character (along an assortment of buddies) try to cheer up Jon Favreau's character, as he has been unconsolible since he left his girlfriend of 6 years. And who are the boys and their scene? Well, for starters the boys dress like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin; they soak up martini's in smokey "lounges"; pick-up "honies" and "babies"; and support each other with a demented but ultra-loyal mix of a 4th-grade mentality and grown-up drama. Of course, while Jon's character ultimately has the epiphany that is smart to let go, to move on, and find a new life, it is Vince Vaugh who wins the spotlight, as the loveable, loyal smartypants. Totally admire Vince's acting; his clever-smooth talking wise guy-wannabe does the trick. The movie, though a tad slow moving, is actually smart and such a nice alternative to the commercial and high-speed chase drama of common day cinema. "Swingers" is great! It's a classic. It's a laugh riot. And it is totally in my DVD collection. Can't wait for more Vince Vaugh......he's so "money."

Review: This movie is a great way to kill a couple of hours. It doesn't attempt to be anything more than it is, a guy's movie about being hip and staying in cool in the face of a broken relationship. I recommend this movie simply because I found it entertaining and kept my interest through out. I know what a simple minded review this is, but in the end, isn't that all you really want out of movie, entertainment?

Review: I saw this movie by accident and now own it. Every guy, (who's into girls), between the ages of 16-40 should see this movie. It's funny and educational. Vince Vaughn will teach you how to get laid, while John Favreau will teach you how to get a girlfriend. If you see this movie you will repeat the catchphrases, and you will really like it

Review: This is one of the best movies ever. It is one of the only movies I have ever seen that shows how pathetic we can be when dealing with women. One of the best scenes is the Sega hockey skit. This truley depicts how competitive we get when the Stanley Cup is on the line!!!

Review: Sorry, I just don't understand. Why the hell does Amazon list Swingers on dvd on October 2, 2001? It was available 2 years ago from Amazon! That's where I got it! Unfortunately I lent it to a friend. blah bastard blah

So I come back to the site to re-order it and find that it won't be released for 2-3 months?! What? Did I fall into some twisted ass star trek logic time trap? 2 years ago it was available on Amazon and NOW IT IS NOT YET RELEASED?? I mean it's not like I was looking for a new special version or anything.. I just wanted the Swingers that I had before.

Fortunately, I moved sideways and checked out Barnes & Noble (bn.com). Being a loyal amazon fan I didn't want to do it but I had no choice. And what did I find there?? They will be shipping it to me in 2 days (airmail).

Amazon corp, I have been a huge fan for a long time but you need to stop pulling this $*@$.

Review: This is a must see for every single guy in the US. It has all your friends and you in it. The too cool player (who is out of control) the excentric, the layed back guys, the hurt guy in a slump and it even has late night, drunk, crap talking, video game hockey. I cant decide if it is that funny or depressing that we are this easy to figure out. I am about 45 minutes away from tying a friend down a forcing him to watch this. He is Vince Vaugh. Review: it's 2001, and i just got done seeing this film. I didnt realize it was so old, until, well, now.

how was this movie? well, in my opinion, fantastic! It was hilarious, i mean, FUNNY, like, squirt milk or coke (that burns) out of your nose funny.

Vince Vaughn plays a chauvanisitc player type, that always gets the ladies, and his best friend Jon Favreau, although being "MONEY" is quite the opposite. Look, i dont want to ruin the fun. It's much more than pickin up women, well...actually, its not! it's about guys who go club hopping in hopes of finding women, and they do. but, its not always pretty, and their methods of picking up women immitate those of our own, using childish antics, such as, "is she lookin at me?...what about now...now...now?!" look, this may sound a lil chauvanistic, i dont mean it to be, its just a lil' difficult to write on something like this, it was a a great movie, very funny. watch it, its quite refreshing.

If you are still a little iffy about buying it, just rent it. Give it a chance, thats what I did, and you know what? Now I'm going to buy it.

Review: Oh, dear. This movie hits all of us single guys right in the face! In fact, anyone with experience of the combination between a prior relationship, serious nightclubbing and career ambitions at the same time will enjoy this movie. As many other reviewers have stated, this movie reflects a period of one's life that is so recognizable and true. The movie gets 4 stars from me; the only reason a fifth star is lacking is that I feel the personalities are a bit too extreme. For example, Mike is at times such a looser to an extent that is not very believable. All in all however, this is a highly entertaining movie and a good alternative to all of those stupid although enjoyable college-spring break-road trip movies out there....
