Summary: Well, It's worth renting it.
Review: ...I personally despize jlo
s music, but I think that this moive was pretty good.

This was decent movie. It was very similar to the theme of the moive "Ever After" (with Drew Barrymore) witch was set in midevil times, and is also much like a cinderella story. You see, in "Ever After", a girl's father dies, and is servent to her dreadful step mother and step sisters. When she must save her fellow sevent from being sold to the palace, she dresses up like a lady and the price sees her. Thinking that she too is noble, he falls in love with her. She continues dressing up so, convincing herself that she will tell him eventually, and when she tell him he is extremly destressed. He's mad that she desived him, and also mad that a servent could win his heart. However, he soon realizes that it doesn't matter if she is noble or not, because he loves her. After this he forgives her and they live happily "ever after". I like this story much better, becuase it is much more compeling and thought provoking than Maid in Manhattan, yet they are much the same.

Bottom line? Rent Maid in Manhattan, it's worth it, and the kid who plays her son in the movie is great...

Summary: Beautiful
Review: Jennifer Lopez and Ralph Fiennes are great actors who managed to make this movie a great successful romantic comdey!!!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Boring and Predictable
Review: This movie is obviously some kind of "star making" movie vehicle for Jennifer Lopez. Unfortunately, it takes more than J. Lo. to make a movie. She was believable as a mother and a maid and as someone striving for more, but she and Ralph Fiennes have no on screen chemistry. His British accent kept popping through. Also, in one scene, Jennifer borrows the clothes of a wealthy guest and she looks just like she does in the Enquirer! You can see the end of this moving coming after just five minutes. The one bright spot is boy who plays her son, who did a great job! If you want to see a movie about people from two different worlds getting together in a love story, try Two Weeks Notice.

Summary: Lopez is the phoniest talent of all time
Review: Jennifer Lopez is the most overrated, so-called talent of all time. Her acting is even worse than her singing. The day that the public gets sick of seeing her is too soon for me. I love movies, but I'll never walk into a theatre if she is so much as an extra among ten million people seen at a distance of 10,000 miles.

Summary: Fabulous
Review: This movie is so fabulous. Everyone at any age will like this movie. It such a cute movie. Also, it comedy and romance. There is not a lot of movie that is both comedy and romance.
I love this movie. It's even better than Pretty Woman.

Summary: NO HEAVY ANALYSIS HERE....I JUST LIKED IT
Review: Although there are many here who are qualified to debate the merits of a film and the finer points of acting, I really didn't pay much attention to that.

I ordered this DVD simply to watch a new, light-hearted movie. And it was. Sweet, simple, and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed it and liked the characters. At the movie's end, I felt good. As far as I'm concerned, that's enough for five stars.

Summary: It really is a lousy way to spend an evening
Review: One of the most inane scripts ever to be "maid" into a movie, each and every one of the actors in this tripe, including such gifted actors as Bob Hoskins and Ralph Fiennes should apologize to every viewer of this dreck for the wasted 100 minutes that we will never get back from our lives.

Summary: More film nonsense from Lopez....
Review: Well she certainly has shown that her looks are what makes her cast in films, but both her singing and her acting are so patheic that I wish casting directors would avoid her like the IRS.

Summary: Yawn.
Review: I should've known. We rented this thing last night, and it bored me to death. Predictable, and yet another Cinderella tale with totally unbelievable dialogue and some really corny moments. Jennifer Lopez isn't the worst actress in the world, she just needs to find better material. This certain type of the romance genre has been done over and over before. Ever since "Pretty Woman" (a classic) came out almost thirteen years ago, these type of films have been done to death.

Heres the plot: Lonely and impoverished maid with little innocent kid meets rich and funny dude who makes all of her dreams come true.

Thats it. You've seen it before. Over and over again. Hollywood needs new material, and they need it quick. This movie had a few good moments, but as a whole, it was just one big headache. Ralph Fiennes must have been desperate.

SKIP IT.

Summary: Cringworthy ...
Review: I love boy meets girl films. I have them all in my collection. The only reason I was interested in seeing this film is because Ralph Fiennes was starring in it. What a shock!! The question begs to be asked, was he paid millions or was he not in possession of his five senses when he agreed to star in this piece of junk. There is absolutely no chemistry between him and J Lo at all, nothing, not a piece, not a sniff. I was bored and couldn't wait for it to finish. In most romantic films you are left wondering whether the actor and actress get together off set life because they make it look so believable on screen. If you are hoping to see another - Pretty Woman, Only You, The American President, then please save your money. This film was terrible. Shame on you, Ralph.
