Summary: Very funny and "normal".
Review: I agree with a former viewer who wrote that this was average and that that was the point. Thankfully someone else feels that way. Too many times "gay themed" movies get a surreal treatment who some people always want to say is art. Bull. These films should also portray the world we live in and that is the same one as everyone else.

Summary: Best Gay Film Ever!
Review: I just doesn't get better. Lighthearted. Fun. Intelligent.

Christian Campbell and Jean Paul Pitoc play perfectly together, and Tori Spelling puts on a stunning performance.

Its BIG, its BEAUTIFUL and you're gonna LOVE IT!

Summary: Something For Everyone (Really)
Review: A "nice little movie" which takes place all in one night (obviously in New York City) and is VERY funny. Christian Campbell and J.P. Pitoc spend the entire night being prevented from actually doing ANYTHING, so there's nothing here to squirm about. As for Tori Spelling, who I otherwise CAN'T STAND... she was PERFECT as your typical wanna-be actress out to network a career.

Summary: Bold and Courageous
Review: I guess gay lifestyle is now a reality in the US, and this movie portrays it as openly as it can. It is bold, somewhat graphic, and definetly courageous. This is not a movie for people with low tolerance about the alternative life-style. Very good acting and dialog. I wish the DVD had better sound quality and Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Excellent music, especially at the end during the credits. It is a good movie to buy and keep for people with tolerance about alternative life-style.

Summary: It's big, it's beautiful, and you're gonna' love it!
Review: Wow. That's the only word that comes to mind. I have never before seen a better romance in my life. The beautifully rendered tale of love about a "Trick" gone bad will certainly touch the soul. I don't know what I can say that already hasn't been. The story follows the trail of two gay men looking for a one night stand, a "trick." Unfortunately for them, everything seems to be trying to stop them from consumating this fling and in the process of trying to find a suitable place, they realize that there's more underlying this relationship than lust. Together they discover the troubles with love, distrust, and the fear of settling down. Through the trouble of finding the right place to "do each other," they learn much about each other and ultimately find the romance missing in both their lives. In a great drama lightly sprinkled with humor, the acting is superb. Campbell plays the shy, silent guy, completely opposite of Pitoc's outgoing, party-til-you-drop, hunky go-go boy, perfectly and Tori Spelling plays a wonderful ditzy best friend. Pitoc does his job to the dot, and Ms. Coco Peru is the slightly needed backup humor that brings the whole thing together. No matter who you are, you gotta' love this movie.

Summary: SIMPLY CHARMING AND DELIGHTFUL
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and would recommend it to everyone. Christian Campbell (as Gabriel) was so charming and adorable, while J.P. Pitoc was such a hunk (what a body!). As for the movie itself, the plot was well developed, the music was great, and a very entertaining supporting cast, although Tori Spelling's character could be quite annoying at times. Overall, Trick is simply a very enjoyable movie. It is great to see a well-made gay romantic movie, as these movies are extremely rare.

Summary: No trick here, but lots of treats
Review: In the splendidly delightful film "Trick", two young gentlemen succumb to the forces of nature and try to find a place to engage in their lusty mating rituals, only to discover that gold lies underneath the nice wrapping paper. I purchased "Trick" on DVD without viewing it in a theater first, a rare thing indeed, and pleasantly surprised I was. The two leads, Christian Campbell and JP Pitoc, pull off tremendous acting performances by underplaying their parts perfectly. This film could have easily been the usual gay campy fodder, but it manages to walk the line in remaining true to gay life in the 90's and avoiding the stereotypes that plague gay-themed films. Oh sure there is your standard drag queen and older flaming lounge-singer, but they break out of their two-dimensional molds and shine as complex characters. At times, the film is uneven, but you can overlook that when you begin to fall in love with the tale. Even Tori Spelling's performance, as an over-the-top, talentless Broadway actress fits in the groove of the film. Overall, the film's endearing message encourages us to look past the glitz and the glamour of the gay subculture to find the true person inside. I highly recommend "Trick" for your viewing pleasure.

Summary: Top Rate, Wonderful Movie
Review: One of the few gay movies that I absolutely loved. The actors, the story line and the relationships between them were absolutely wonderful. Finally a gay movie that can be enjoyed by every adult. It is nice to see a movie in which the main characters are not fighting HIV, their mother, or victims of gay bashing. The movies focuses not only on the gay characters but the frustrations and complications of dating and socializing in any relationship in this generation. Gay or straight, the commonality is relating to each other on a physical versus emotional level. I highly recommend this movie to everyone.

Summary: One of the Best Romances, Ever!
Review: A witty cast & an excellent story are only two of the things that make this such an enjoyable movie. Although the central characters are gay, this is definitely a movie for people of all persuasions. TRICK will have you laughing out loud and singing along with the catchy tunes that are scattered throughout one of the sweetest romance movies I've ever had the pleasure of viewing.
