Review: I had to watch this movie for an American Studies class in college and fell in love with it. The tagline promotes it as "a Cinderella story with big hair" but Jamie Gertz's character does it all without the help of a fairy godmother. This movie is for anyone who felt awkward or out of place in front of the "cool" people. As the opening credit's declare "Jersey groove, she's got a jersey groove"

Summary: I knew back then he was a "winner".
Review: I saw this movie when it first came out and have been following Dylan ever since. I knew that he was one of the "choosen" few that would succeed in Hollywood and now with "The Practice" it has finally come to pass. His raw honesty is displayed hesitantly in his eyes in each scene. He is fantastic! This movie is great because it makes you tingle inside acting as a reminder of what it was like to first fall head over heels with someone. Plus it is sends out a good message about "classes" and how you need to be yourself. I could watch it everyday and still have the same review. Go Dylan! The best is yet to come.

Review: I think I've now rented this movie at least 5 times. Dillon McDermotts eyes are captivating. It's one of those stories a girl can relate to. Even if you're not all that young, like me. Loved it!

Review: My first real taste of Dylan McDermott, and I've been salivating ever since. I rented this movie, many years ago, because I like Jamie Gertz and wanted to see something funny and romantic. What a surprise it was. I've rented it several times since then when I need a little pick-me-up. Very heart warming. BTW - Did I mention that Dylan McDermott is very sexy in this movie.

Review: Some time ago I stumbled across JERSEY GIRL on television afterthe film had already started. Four comments: 1)It seemed to be the umpteenth movie or TV show to waste the talents of comic actor Joseph Bologna, who plays Jersey Girl Toby's father. See Bologna in BLAME IT ON RIO and MY FAVORITE YEAR. 2)Toby's lady friends were stereotypes of East Coast Italians, nothing exclusive to the Garden State. Was the original title STATEN ISLAND GIRL? 3)I wondered if the scene where Toby's boyfriend tickles her until she falls off the bed was improvised or in the script, because JERSEY GIRL seemed otherwise so stale. Tickling says a lot about a relationship but not many falling-in-love pictures touch on it. Tickling's a turn-on for some couples and for others a power-trip, ie. who does the tickling? (Have you noticed that people who love to tickle usually get mad if you tickle them, or are simply not ticklish at all? My ex-girlfriend, who tickled me like crazy, was only mildly ticklish.) 4. Toby gives it up to the boyfriend without first getting the wedding ring, one reason I was not anxious to see how JERSEY GIRL wrapped up. Ladies, do not have sex before marriage if you want a man who will respect you! Maybe I will watch the rest of JERSEY GIRL some day.

Summary: The plot premise is ridiculous...
Review: SPOILER AHEAD.
1) I moved several times before age 10, and you forget about your old friends and make new ones very fast. So the fact that Ollie wouldn't move because of his 7 year old is ludicrous.
2) Why could he take the job and commute to NY? Thousands of people do it everyday.
3) The romance was too shallow to believe it meant anything to anyone.

Review: This is one of the best romance movies I have ever watched. From the first time I saw this movie I fell in love with it. For any woman who has fallen in love with someone who they thought was out of reach "Jersey Girl" is a must see.
