Summary: This man This man
Review: I jealous, this swarm, this smart-ass. He thik hi tough! Punk'd? New prison coming out, Ashton make sparkle with other prisoners' good friend! In reel, this man Aston becomes punk'd by cell hero. I can't stand, no no. Flavor of week, flavor for weak minded. Highlight: Brittney Spears is in movie. Lowlight: Aston doesn't die from lack of talent. Plaster biy on magazine, biy become famous. Who Demi Mooore? Daughter of 007 actor! This man looks like white trash, missing cormosone. Can't we rocket him to the sun?

Summary: A Few Moments Of Wedded Bliss Is All There Is...
Review: Once upon a time, Just Married, hit theaters. I am almost afraid to say this...the trailer made the film look like an uproarious comedy romp, given that, I was actually looking forward to seeing the film...

It was love at first sight for working man Tom (Ashton Kutcher) and rich girl Sarah (Brittany Murphy). Despite being complete opposites, the couple decides after a wirlwind courtship, to marry. This doesn't sit well with her snooty parents, or her former well off boyfriend (Christian Kane) either. As the newlyweds begin their dream honeymoon, touring all of Europe, a series of comedic mishaps forces them to wonder why they married at all.

It is fairly obvious early on, that Kutcher and Murphy, make a too cute to be real duo in the film. Directed by Shawn Levy, the script makes for a by the numbers story, that is made watchable thanks to the likable pair. Thanks to roles in That 70's Show and Dude Where's My Car?, Kutcher uses his trademark slapstick schitick and oafness to work well with his co-star. My problem with the film is that the first half is pretty slow to start. And the funniest scenes in the whole film, were put in to the theatrical trailer, so that leaves very little else to laugh at. Since the film' runs at a breezy 95 minutes, and is slow to start, only scant opportunities for true "fun" remains. That's a shame--the film has potential that's wasted.

The double sided DVD, allows viewers to decide whether to watch the film in either the widescreen, or full screen formats. The full length audio commentary with Levy, Kutcher, and Murphy, is what its supposed to be; fairly light. Its curious to note how the two stars react to each other, since at the time, they were an off screen couple at the time, and now they are not. There's a few deleted scenes, with optional Levy commentary, that as usual, were well chosen for the editing room floor. There are two featurettes: one standard fluff "making of" and on side "B" of the disc, the better excuted Comedy Central Channel's Reel Comedy Special. Toping it all off is the film's theatrical trailer and for others as well.

It's not that Just Married is a total wash, it's more that the movie wastes time and thus, ends up less than it should have been.

Summary: Just Loved It
Review: Ashton Kutcher & Brittany Murphy form possibly the cutest couple I've seen in a while in this story of a young, newlywed pair. The story is basic: a somewhat odd pair marries and finds their share of comical trouble. And the movie is hilarious - but the cool thing about it is that the end of the movie is surprisingly emotional and romantic. When Tom (Kutcher) makes his speech to Sarah (Murphy) at the end of the film, via intercom at her front gate - you can't help but feel moved by it. There is a solid sincerity in his words, which I believe stems from the fact that the two actors where "an item" during filming. The movie starts you off a bit confused - then gets you laughing - then takes a surprisingly romantic turn. It's an hour and a half well spent.

Summary: IT ALMOST SINKS / THE STARS KEEP IT AFLOAT
Review: Scattered laughs and a touching ending help this somewhat flavorless romantic comedy stay afloat. The chemistry between hunky Ashton Kutcher and hottie Brittany Murphy also help. It's sorta like a Chevy Chase vacation movie with attractive leads. Most of the funny parts are seen in the DVD featurette. And the commentary with director Shawn Levy and the two leads turned out to be more fun than the actual movie alone. I know that sounds bad, but the movie is worth a look. Some people really enjoyed it, I just thought it was okay.

Summary: a surprisingly sweet comedy
Review: I honestly thought, when i saw the previews for "Just Married", that this would be one of those 'good for a few laughs, but rather forgetful' movies. i was more then pleasantly surprised. It manages to be two things very rarely found in the same movie; laugh-out-loud funny, and genuinely sweet.

Ashton Kutcher convincingly breaks away from his "Kelso" persona from "That 70's Show", and the result is a truly funny performance that shows he truly deserves to be known as more then 'Demi's [boyfriend]'.

The on-screen chemistry between Kutcher and Murphy works incredibly well, and they take us through the 'honeymoon from hell' with great energy and comic timing. This is a story about a couple almost too pretty to exist, but that you can't help but root for.

Summary: Dude, how does it end...I'll Never Tell...
Review: The fresh faces are in abundance with Asthon Kuthcer and Brittany Murphy front lining this light comedic affair, however the movie seems to try to draw most of it's laughs from an overabundance of pratfall and stooge-like physical comedy. Though it works in places, too much of a good thing can be too much of a good thing. Most of the sight gags seems to involve noses and faces and blows to the noses and faces. You see it the first time as Murphy gets pegged by a Kutcher-launched football on the beach, you chuckle. You see it the 10th time and you groan...there the blow to the nose gag again...let me set my stopwatch...in 5 minutes we can expect the next one. It gets predictable.

With that said, "Just Married," can be enjoyed as a light rental. It has great scenery of Europe and the two young actors can be pretty enjoyable at times feeding off each other's manic energy. In the running commentary featured as an extra on the DVD, we hear Kutcher call up John Kusack and Cameron Crowe's movie, "Say Anything," as inspiration. And that's where the merit of this comedy can be weighed. Next to, "Say Anything," "Just Married," is a flat honeymoon. It just won't stand out years from now as a movie to be remembered.

Director, Shawn Levy's instincts pays off letting his actors ad lib scenes with some of the movies most enjoyable moments coming with the zany interplay between Kutcher and Murphy. Though I'm not sure this would be one to buy, unless your a big fan of light comedies, I'd say it would be a good rent if you didn't have anything else in mind to watch.

How does it end..."I'll never tell.."

Summary: Horribly Un-Funny
Review: Some people may think this movie is funny I have to disagree. I think this was just a failed attempt to make lots of money by putting garbage on the screen. The jokes - not funny at all. I don't understand how saying "Bonjour! Merci Bonjour! Merci!" over and over again can make people actually laugh, or in fact crack a smile. I was going to turn this off but then I decided I would stay just to see what would happen at the end. If the movie was as dumb as I thought. Yeah, it was. Well actually it was dumber. Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher have NO chemistry and are terrible in this movie. There were sick jokes and the way they showed the plot was just ... BAD. They could have done so much with the story line ...

Summary: Light & Entertaining
Review: I enjoyed this movie, yes it was poor boy falls in love with rich girl and the family objects......but it had so many funny happenings in it as the couple travel throughout Europe.
I liked when the little old lady almost pushed them over the cliff...ha, talk about a cliff hanger! Ok enough right?
This was just an entertaining film, lighthearted and fun and
after all it all turns out alright in the end. A little laughter, a little love, a lovely picture!

Summary: Painfully laugh-free
Review: I'll give the leads the benefit of the doubt that they're actually a lot better than this lame-o-flick deserves. Kutcher and Murphy are Tom and Sara, the mismatched couple that loves itself to pieces in this story which strains for laughs. After a whirlwind romance, Sara introduces Tom to her tony Beverly Hills family. They marry and the rest (much like their marriage) is quickly history. Things go bad from the wedding night (bloody noses, no sex) and only get worse. After Tom nearly burns down the French Chalet that Sara booked them into (after a fatal misunderstanding involving voltage differences in Europe and an electric sex-toy), and compounds problems by taking them to the worst hotel in Venice (cockroaches, dust and no sex), our heroes quickly realize that they are on the Honeymoon-from-hell. At first they gamely make a go of it, not realizing that they're only saving their tension for the perfect moment.

"Just Married" was a simple idea for a flick. People have been laughing at marriage for years. Maybe that's why the jokes seem forced - the sex-toy fiasco painfully illustrates how far the script will go to get a laugh, and we get that one early on. Every joke is actually half of a joke about Sara and Tom can't have sex, climaxing (really, no pun intended - I mean it!) when Sara tricks custom's inspectors into giving her hated hubby a full-rectal exam (cut to the scene of Tom walking bow-legged onto the plane; obviously he's the victim, but in the perverse logic of this unsexual non-comedy, you've got to wonder whether Tom is actually the victor - he at least got some.) The script can't get past a monumental plot gap: Tom and Sara really don't have anything in common - you'd think they'd have learnt and gotten past their foibles while they dated, but the story skips past much of that. The laughs are far and few in between - the best ones involve cars (both the ridiculous sub-compact they rent in France, and the Dodge Barracuda (at least I think it's a 'Cuda) that Tom drives - a monster which was probably meant to remind us about "That 70's show" but which looks like a prop from the "Phantasm" movies. If ever there was a flick that needed help from "The Tall Man", this is it.

Summary: very entertaining
Review: Just married is a good film but not enough to give it 5 stars.
Reasons for renting it:
1. Just married is not cheesy like Sweet home alabama.
2. It's a comedy. Best parts include when Ashton throws a ball out of the window to get Brittany's dog away from him, and the dog jumps out the window and get's run over.
3. Ashton kutcher/Brittany Murphy is in it.
I wouldn't recommend you buy it as its the type of movie you only wanna see once.
