Summary: Ok, an attempt
Review: If you've seen The Real Cancun, and love spring break movies, DON'T SEE THIS ONE! Okay, I'll give credit to J&K's vocals(especially Kelly's well-done remake of 'Vacation') but this movie made no sense to me. The lines are cheap, and the dance moves look like a 3rd grader could've done them. But if you are a true Justin and Kelly fan, then this is a must-have for you guys!

Summary: bottom line -- the singing is great; the storyline stinks
Review: I love Justin and Kelly. And if you like to see them sing -- get this movie. But if you're getting it to see the hyped romance between the two stars, forget it. It's no fault to Justin and Kelly. With a good director, this would have been an awesome hit. The scenes were missing body language. And I don't mean sex. I mean, chemistry--that you could see--between the actors, such as flirting, eye-contact, playful touching, facial expressions, etc. There was NONE of that. The scenes with Kelly and Justin were simply an exchange of a few lines, and then they would go off and tell their friends how "great" this person was. Actors can't just speak about their feelings through dialogue. In movies the audience has to see it to believe it. Their date was a joke. They didn't even sit next to each other on their date. --how romantic is that? And then we're supposed to believe their so hot for each other. Pleeeze! The director even blew it on the kiss. The camera shot was so far away, you couldn't even tell it was them kissing! Buy this movie for the MUSIC and SINGING. Don't buy it for the romantic storyline.

Summary: Great on Home Video!
Review: I just can't begin to tell you how I love it when movies are released on DVD right after being in the theaters! I mean, you just get done going through the hassle of getting a day pass from the psych clinic to see it in the theaters, and then - blammo! - next week you can rent the thing from the head nurse at the front desk and get to relive the precious moments of joy you had when you were allowed outside.

But as for the movie - what a romp! Justin and Kelly seem like they were made for each other! Just look at the cover! Seriously - what are the odds that tens of people all across America could vote and somehow match these two up! And again, what are the odds that they'd be great actors, too! Man - with miracles like that happening, it gives me hope that someday I'll be able to dance on the beach without Klaus (with two dots over the 'a') looking over my shoulder to make sure I don't have a recurrence of my "problem."

Yeah ... back to the movie. Buy this immediately as I can't imagine it being in stock for long. It's that good.

Summary: Cindy From NC
Review: I am currently watching this movie. I think it is cute. Justin and Kelly can sing and they do a good acting job given the script they are working with. I think the writing could have been better for this movie. Some of the writing was good. The music did not seem to flow like it did in Grease or Chicago. I do not think it is as bad as the critics say. I actually liked it but then again, I usually do not agree with the critics.

Summary: So Bad It's Great!
Review: If you are going to watch this movie then you need to go into it having a certain attitude. Don't expect great acting, great songs, or even an interesting plot. Go in, expecting a silly movie that you can laugh at and have fun making fun of. In the same mode as Glitter, Showgirls, and Crossroads, From Justin to Kelly is destined to be a cult classic. Starring American IDols Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini, this film is horribly directed, acted, and written. The faults lie within the directors and writers who actually thought this film was going to be anything good. Kelly Clarkson is fiesty and charming, and her beautiful, powerful chops take center stage as she blows everyone away. Justin Guarini sounds good, but he tries a little to hard in the acting department. He is not as natural as Kelly is, and unfortunatly the 2 of have zero chemistry. Other supporting actors do their best, but I have a feeling we will never see them again in anything else. The writers have concocted a lame story that barely gives the 2 lovebirds any chance to even build any type of relationship, so the love story is rediculous. The music ain't half bad, a few poppy, dance numbers and soaring ballads.
Overall, the movie kept my interest, and I had a good time, and the more I watch it the more I love it, and the more I realize how truly horrible it is, that it makes me love it even more.

Summary: This Movie should have been a comedy
Review: When I first watched this movie, I was already laughing half-way through the film. Not because the movie was a comedy, because it was just so bad! I couldn't believe it. Kelly Clarkson should feel ashamed. First of all, the actors/actresses were not very good. Second, Justin Guarini was starting to scare me.

Now, the plot of this movie started out simple, but fine. It's Spring Break, everyone wants to party, so they head to Florida. Justin and Kelly "meet"(by dancing with each other for a total of hmm...15 seconds) and suddenly Justin can't get Kelly out of his mind. (Despite the fact that he danced with about 10 other girls in that same musical interlude). Now Justin is the party-type, and Kelly only came along [to Florida] because her friends make her go.
Anyway,Kelly's vocals are good, and Justin's aren't too shabby, however one of Kelly's friends (this evil blonde girl with a southern drawl strong enough to make Dolly Pardon envious.) are one of the funny highlights. This girl CAN'T SING A NOTE! I was sure her solo was a joke. "I'm gonna wish upon a starrrrrr!!!"
I watched this again and again and laughed until I could hardly breathe(having friends there to comment on this section and the entire movie is definitely a lot of fun). Moving on...

Watch some of the dance moves in this movie, you're guaranteed to end up laughing at something. Certain moves like the girls draped across the guy's legs while dancing was just one of the funny dance moves I saw.

All in all, this movie was TERRIBLE. One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Don't buy it. Rent it if you're unsure, but actually purchasing this item is not a good choice.

Summary: What a Joke.
Review: What a joke this movie is. What a waste of film.
This movie stars two spares who were on some
stupid Fox show and they are trying to get their
movie career started. I pray to Jesus this is the
last movie they will be in. My opinion of course,
take it or leave it.

Summary: "You're the one playing games Kelly!"
Review: Okay, I admit I rented this movie. Yes, I am properly shamed. But you know what? It's actually not that bad. Sure, it's silly, improbable, and goofy beyond all belief (the outfits alone...) but "From Justin to Kelly" is also surprisingly sweet and good natured. Our favorite ex-Idolers star as "Justin Bell" and "Kelly Taylor", two young adults in Florida on Spring Break. Justin is supposed to be a wild party boy, and Kelly is the down home girl from Texas (she is described at one point as "one bonnet short of Amish"). They meet, have an instant connection, and spend the whole movie overcoming various obstacles (mostly Kelly's evil best friend) before finally finding true love.

The big surprise here is how natural Clarkson and Guarini are on screen; they read their lines with assurance and ease. There is one good musical number, a couple of decent ones, and one really bad one. The songs are pleasant, and made better by Clarkson's beautiful voice. The dialogue is better than we have any right to expect, and while the pace is leasuirely the film holds your interest.

I put this one at about 3.5 stars. If you love Clarkson or Guarini, rent it. If you're fifteen and having a slumber party, buy it. And if you're a Clay Aiken fan, hope for a sequel.
