Summary: A sweet romantic comedy for any age
Review: I was a little apprehensive at first because most romantic films these days are aimed at teenagers or full of very predictable cliches.

I was more than pleasantly surprised by "Return to Me." It is a lovely, funny ensemble film. It worked well for me because of the characters that populate the world of Grace Briggs (Minnie Driver). David Duchovny and Minnie Driver were really quite good in their roles, he a shattered man and she a woman who has never had a chance to experience life who find each other by chance.

Carroll O'Connor, Robert Loggia and the other characters at O'Reilly's Italian Restaurant almost walk away with the show. They are all truly wonderful. Bonnie Hunt and James Belushi, as Grace's sister and brother-in-law, and their children, fill out the cast perfectly. I know families just like theirs.

Bonnie Hunt did a lovely job with this film. I enjoyed every minute of it. I, and the audience, laughed often and at the right places. I left the theater feeling that the evening had been well spent. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys a modern but old fashioned romantic comedy, and wouldn't mind seeing it again myself. Thank you, Amazon.com!

Summary: Return to Me
Review: This movie is best described as "real life humor". Although it was predictable at first, you could really believe in characters. Grace's grandpa and his pals at O'Rielly's Italian restaurant steal the show! You can't help but love them.

Summary: A movie that helps heal the heartache of loss.
Review: As a first movie by this director, I found this movie to be a brilliant engagement of its concept and to have achieved its goal. It is a well acted beautiful romantic/comedy. Minnie Driver was lovely not to mention perfect. David was the very emotion of loss and pain. If every movie were to have an oscar moment, the scene in which David losses his wife would be it. His dog in this scene is something else. When David cried I cried. The other fact to mention is the for every cry there was a laugh this movie is not just one emotion but that of the real rollercoaster. And the laughs keep coming from Minnie's grandfather and friends. A standout sub character was David Grier he was both funny and heartwarming. I found the movie to be of top quality.

Summary: surprisingly funny
Review: This is not usually my type of movie; and I'll be perfectly honest, I went because of the free passes. All I can say is that I'm glad I did, the movie was great. I was glad to see Davis Duchovny in another type of role other than X-Files, and it proves his leading man potential. Minnie Driver as usual gave a wonderful performance. The supporting cast with James Belushi and Carroll O'connor kept me laughing for the entire movie. I would definitely go see this movie again, and recommend it to anybody whether you enjoy romantic comedies or not.

Review: Great chick flick. Romance, comedy, tragedy in one movie. Wholesome entertainment fot the entire family. Bonnie Hunt does a great job writing, directing and acting. No sex, no violence. Hollywood is finally being responsible.

Summary: Return to Me
Review: Adorable, Funny and Heart-warming

Bonnie Hunt has created a wonderful romantic comedy that can go upagainst the best from Hollywood's golden years. Minnie Driver and David Duchovny are great in the karmically challenged love interests surrounded by a hillarious cast of family and friends. The characters all feel as if they are from a time when family and taking care of the ones you love really is the most important thing in your life - unlike the world we all to often find ourselves in today. Particularly enjoyable are the performances of Bonnie Hunt and James Belushi. Carroll O'Connor and Robert Loggia also give wonderful performances.

Summary: Unexpectedly enjoyable
Review: This film caught me by surprise. Impeccably acted, and directed with warmth and humor, this film should, by rights, be the sleeper hit of the year. Though the premise sounds unpromising, and the plot can be predictable, the characterizations and performances make the journey to the inevitable resolution enjoyable. This movie could have missed in so many ways. It never really does. Driver and Duchovny have convincing chemistry - - this is the first time I've seen Duchovny not play Fox Mulder, and he's simply wonderful here. Yes, this movie is sentimental. Undoubtedly a "chick-flick." But it's a good one, on par with "Sleepless in Seattle," and "Moonstruck." And it's not just a romance - - some of the best moments in the film come from Carroll O'Connor, Robert Loggia and the rest of the fine collection of character actors who portray Driver and Duchovny's friends and family. If you've been waiting for an old-fashioned romantic film with loveable, compelling characters, one to which you could take your parents, your girlfriend, or your children, I would recommend this film without reservation!

Summary: Return to Me
Review: Return to me is a cute movie. It probably won't win any Oscars, but it was enjoyable. It is a romantic comedy, but has it's heavy moments. Minnie Driver's character is dying of heart disease at the beginning of the movie and is saved by a heart transplant. David Duchovny's character loses his wife in a car accident very early in the movie too. The story is of their meeting and romance. There's a twist to their coming together, but I thought it was fairly predictable. It's a good show if you're just out for that warm fuzzy feeling. I enjoyed it.
